Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Premiership Plus Predictions Game - Week 29 Update

Hiya, PPPers - I'm checking in ahead of the first interminable international break of the year with our weekly update on the standings for our PPP Game. (I have to be honest - I also wanted to make sure to include an update during what might be the only week that my beloved Leeds are top of the pops in the Championship!). That said, there were plenty of consequential changes this week, most of which led to a loss of points for players. Indeed, the only person who did well this week was West Ham Rising, whose whopping six point addition this week vaulted him from dead last to joint second place - wow!

Much of the change was due to the FA's decision to dock Forest four points due to FFP violations, which dropped them into the relegation zone and moved relegation favorites Luton out of danger temporarily. As I said above, my Leeds boys took advantage of Leicester's Cup quarter final to leapfrog them into first place in the Championship.

And speaking of the Cup, I've also taken stock of the semi-finalists and indicated those teams that are already out of the competition.

This all means that things have tightened up at the top, with UWS still leading, but with only a five-point gap. Here are the full standings:

1. United We Stand - 35 points

2. MOT the Hoople - 30 pts

-  West Ham Rising - 30 pts

4. Man Utd Rules - 29 pts

-  Someone Said - 29 pts

6. Blue Devil - 28 pts

-  oticoN - 28 pts

-  Red Dragon - 28 pts

9. Bee's Knees - 27 pts

10. Teddy Goalesevelt - 26 pts

11. Gooner71 - 23 pts

-  Red Devil 1FCK - 23 pts
