Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Predictions, Predictions, Predictions

We're all set to kick off the new Premiership season tomorrow and it's time for predictions. I'll kick this off and let you make what you want with it. If anyone has time to calculate points for predictions and keep track of it, fair enough. I know I won't be able to during the academic year. Here's what I'm predicting:

Premiership Champions - Liverpool

Runners Up - Arsenal

Champions League Qualifiers - Chelsea and Spurs

Relegated Teams: Watford, Sheffield United and Fulham

Top Scorer - Jermaine Defoe (Spurs)

Promoted from Coke - Southhampton, West Brom, and Leeds (!)

Champion's League Winners - Barcelona

Carling Cup Winners - Spurs

F.A. Cup Winners - ManYoo

Nope. Sorry, mate, but - like a lot of people - I just don't see how you replace Ruud's 21 Premiership goals. Michael Carrick - in contrast - scored four goals in 78 games for Spurs.

It's time for Fergie to push off and let a younger man take over the side.

I did give you the Cup, you greedy sod!

And where are your predictions?

Thanks for the promotion tip, Sir Trev. I'm hoping that Reading do a bit better than you're predicting. I've got a soft spot for them with the two Yanks and Stevie Coppell at the helm.

I can't see Ferg ever being sacked. He'll be quietly shuffled into an upstairs office where he can't do any damage.

Chris Coleman? Definitely! His days are numbered. If they get off to a slow start, he could be gone by October.
