Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Nice effort, lad. You are absolutely correct on #s 3, 6, 9, 10 and of course 12.

Remember I mentioned that these are all songs of current Premiership clubs, so I'm afraid Burnley and Blackpool aren't correct, though. Give those another think - I mean, how many Premiership sides are by the sea? And how many wear claret?

Celery is the name of a Chelsea fanzine so I'd have to concur with Dave on that one.

I'm going with Charlton for #2. Surely Fulham have won something.

What has Fulham won?
Didn't Charlton win the cup in 1946?

1947
Seed takes his team to a successive FA Cup final, but this time leaves with the trophy. Charlton beat Burnley 1-0 thanks to a Chris Duffy goal. Captain Don Welsh lifts the FA Cup at Wembley before 98,215 fans.

They lost in the final in '46

Correctamundo on #7 - Portsmouth.

Also correct on #5 - Spurs as any Gooner would tell you.

However, #2 is neither Fulham nor Charlton. Think of another Premiership side that's won bugger all.

And #8 isn't Villa - that narrows it down, eh?

"Celery" is a special case. You're both right that it's a Chelsea song. I became aware of it recently because Steven Cohen was talking about it. Apparently Blues bring stalks of celery to the ground, which they wave about while singing this ditty:

Celery, Celery
If she don't come
I'll tickle her bum
With a lump of celery

Thanks for playing!
