Hey Dave, Roma started off quickly and you lot were really under the cosh for the first ten minutes. Your back four doesn't look sound and Scholesy's problem is that he was having to drift back and help out. I don't know why Carrick can't tackle and track back - isn't that his bloody job! So you've been giving away silly free kicks in dangerous areas.
You had a good period for the past ten minutes but Scholesy's red card will make it really difficult.
I thought the second yellow for Scholes was a bit harsh, but you have to know that he had several really bad fouls before his first yellow, so I just think that the ref was fed up with his ginger nonsense.
Scholesy was already out for the return leg; this will surely mean a couple of games out, right?
I'm definitely going for United tonight. I'm always for the English in Europe. Always.
