Forget the Two Top Leagues!!
A lot could be decided at the bottom of the Premier League today,a lot could be decided at the top of the Championship but we are going to concentrate on the top of League 1.
The big match is Leeds vs Carlisle starting at 12:15. April 16th is the date that Leeds will find out if they will get any points back. Come on Whites!!
Join me.

This match is being played in front of about 30,000 people. Not to shabby!!!
Five Live are having live commentary on this one but sadly we are blacked out.
I am following the updates on talksport.
Scoreless after 15 minutes.
Not good news.
Carlisle have scored after 17 minutes
QUEEN OF THE SOUTH are beating Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Semi Final.
What is the cup competitions north and south of the border.
Aberdeen have tied it up
Half time at Elland Road.
Carlisle have the lead.
According to the BBC, Leeds have had 61% of the possession.
Come on, get a goal..or two
Queen of South has scored again
Aberdeen have tied it up again
GOAL
Dougie Freedman with the equalizer.
Get the winner!!
What is going on in this world?
Mid-Week I was rooting for Arsenal.
Bob was using words like brilliant and lovely about Man. United.
Now, I am cheering a Leeds United goal!!
Queen of the South have taken the lead again!!!
Why weren't the English Semis like this?
Queen of the South 3 Aberdeen 3
BUT AS TALKSPORT WERE REPORTING ABOUT THE GOAL
QUEEN OF THE SOUTH HAVE GONE 4-3 UP!!!!
AND LEEDS HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD!!
Some bloke named Howson has put Leeds 2-1 up!!!
Where is Dahlgren???
Oh dear, Carlisle have tied it up at the hour mark
DOUGIE FREEDMAN HAS PUT LEEDS UP AGAIN!!!
20 minutes to go at Elland Road
That has been three goals in ten minutes
Into the last ten minutes at Elland Road.
Hello Dave
I'm late because I have had trouble getting on line . Out router is playing up . Where is Bob for this important game ?
Last minute in Leeds
Hey Tony,
Wonder where Bob is? Maybe he didn't know it was an early kick off
Queen of the South are in the Scottish Cup Final for the first time ever.
If Rangers make it as well, they will be in Europe!
I will be popping in and out as I have a few things to do including feeding Deb's cats .
Queen of the South ! Unbelievable !
LEEDS HAVE WON IT!!!
They have now cemented their play off position with a five point cushion.
If they get their 15 points back on April 16, they would be in SECOND!!!!
I'll be here Tony
Do you think they will get any points back ?
Good win today though .
The radio said that Leeds are confident. Of course, no one else is saying that.
Things could be the most boring ending to the Premier League this year.
All three relegation positions could be decided very soon. As for top, I hope United can sort it out early as well. That would be it!!
I think relegation is sorted . But there could be a few more twists at the top .
HOPE NOT
Our games on FSC today are Reading Fulham followed by Pompey and The Toon
Mine are nil !!!
But at least I have Soccer Saturday
on Sky Sports News .
I wish we had that.
I don't know why the link to the audio works. It used to.
Have you decided what you're going to do tomorrow for the big match?
Juve vs Milan are on after the Pompey game. I want Juve to win that. I would love Milan not to make the Champions League!!!
Still don't know about the football tomorrow . I have always preferred Juve over the rest .
I don't like either of them but I really want Milan not to make the CL.
New that Ronaldinho is going to Milan. Surely he wouldn't go if they aren't in the CL!!
Wotcher, guys! Thanks for providing the excellent graphic and commentary, Dave. I've got Karen in town this weekend, so we had a late night and slept in. I'm glad that I didn't prejudice Leeds's performance. It's a great win for us today. Now I'm settling in to see what FSC has to offer.
I just read that . I'm quite surprised . I would have thought that he would be heading to the Prem . More money in it and all that .
I agree with you about Serie A. I hate Milan more than the others, although I think Juve should've been punished more than they were for the match-fixing scandal.
Welcome Bob,
Say hello to Karen for me.
Did you know it was an early kick off or was it a surprise.
Congrats
The lads of the preview show were saying that full points for Chelski Monday and Wednesday as well as dropped points for United tomorrow would see Chelski on top. Are you afraid, Dave?
It was a surprise to me. I hadn't scrutinized the schedule as I usually do.
Hello Bob .
Another good win .
Yes,
Chelsea will beat Wigan on Monday but I holding out hope that Everton will do something on Thursday at Goodison.
Of course, I hope United do it tomorrow. I think Arsenal will be REALLY tough tomorrow.
Cheers, Tony. It was a nice surprise to wake up to. We're still in sixth but we've tightened up the race within the playoff spots. We're at striking distance to Forest now.
Reading vs. Fulham coming up. It's a smart choice for FSC with all the Yanks on show. Of course, Fulham desperately need an away win today but I can't see them surviving at this point.
The Cottagers sit six points adrift of safety with five games remaining and know defeat would effectively condemn them to the Coca-Cola Championship. Hodgson is rolling the dice by starting David Healey who scored last week but really prefers to wear something green.
Of course you can always keep your fingers crossed that they will give you back at least some of your points
Bad timing by FSC. Missed the KO
1456: According to the BBC Radio 5 Live reporter at the Madejski Stadium, it's raining on one half of the pitch.
Dave , Has Deb's called yet ? I sent her a complaining text . But she hasn't answered me yet .
Heard nothing
I do have my fingers crossed, Tony but I can't see the League giving us back anything. We're going to have to keep winning in order to have any chance.
It is bucketing down with hail!!
Ouch
Blimey, the weather at Reading is Biblical. I remember playing in hail once. Not too fun.
It isn't the league making the decision. It is an independent body
Do either of you guys think Fulham has any chance of escaping the drop now?
Is that right? In that case, we might get something. Unless Peter Ridsdale is heading up the "independent body."
Cambridge have scored an early goal
Not a hope in hell !!!
Not good news for Luton fans - Crewe are 1-0 up on Yeovil - and if they, and Gillingham, both win, the Hatters will be down.
AND NOW BRIGHT SUNSHINE!!
NO about Fulham
Cambridge have been pegged back
Yeah, the guy upstairs needs to make up his mind on the weather. At least the players will be able to dry off quickly. Kasey Keller was looking like a drowned ferret there.
In Worlington it is just plain dull .
Though it was nice this morning .
The Division 1 that I'm watching most closely is Tranmere at home to Forest. A 0-0 draw would suit us fine there.
75F and sunny here in central Florida this morning. You, Dave?
CHARLTON 0 SOUTHAMPTON 1 A vital goal for the Saints in their bid to avoid the drop. The goal has been credited to Stern John but it looks like the goalkeeper Darren Randolph got the last touch.
Rainy but not bad weather
I am going to have to leave you guys for a little bit . I have to go into Mildenhall . Do you guys want me to get you anything ???
Cheers, Tony. Do they still have the market in the town square in Mildenhall?
Talk to you in a bit.
http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/BREAKING-Leeds-United-tribunal-date.3976202.jp
Bristol City, WBA and Stoke look most likely to achieve promotion to the Premiership, but would any of those sides stay up? I don't think so.
Yes . The market is on a Friday .
Talk to you in a bit .
WBA maybe but that is it
Still Goalless in all the Prem games!!
AND McBRIDE HAS SCORED FOR FULHAM!!!
GOAL! It's Brian McBride with a crucial goal. Simon Davies with an excellent ball in and McBride showed his old sharpness.
Reading could be in trouble
Red Hot Hull are losing at home to QPR. I bet they wish they didn't have last weekend off. It stopped their streak
Southend are losing
Yes!
GILLINGHAM 1 SWANSEA 0 Dennis Oli takes advantage of poor defending and the Gills are in front. Swansea can go up today with a win, but they will have to do it the hard way. Of course, this result will doom poor Luton to relegation.
Villa have scored at Pride Park
Some good results so far for us.
DERBY 0 ASTON VILLA 1 A terrible error by Roy Carroll as he fails to catch Ashley Young's inswinging cross and under pressure, he turns the ball into the back of the net.
Spurs have taken the lead against Boro.
Of course, Boro won't try this week. That plonker Alvez won't score the rest of the season!!
Fulham fans now in full voice.
Villa have scored another
Aaron Lennon with the goal for Spurs. It was deflected but he'll claim it.
Walsall are two up
Skysports says OG
Big John Carew with Villa's second.
Stoke are losing again in the Championship and it's come from the penalty spot. Coventry are still battling against the drop so it was a pressure kick but Elliott Ward despatched the ball coolly past Carlo Nash.
There are some big clubs that are facing relegation from the Championship into Division 1 this season - Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester, Soton, Coventry. How the mighty have fallen.
Barnsley have scored. The semi final loss hasn't done any harm. They won midweek and now winning again
And PNE are another side that could easily end up in Division 1.
The Championship is probably the most competitive league in England, don't you think?
Villa are three up
Forest are beating Tranmere(good score for Leeds)
Forest have taken the lead. Bugger!
1536: GOAL Derby 0-3 Aston Villa
Roy Carroll has had the world's worst first-half.
I'd prefer a draw.
I disagree, Forest taking the lead is good. Tranmere are the ones behind you!! Of course it is BUGGER if you get your points back.
Did you read the article I posted.
Ooooh, Doyle could easily have nicked that header in for an equalizer. Keller looked poor there. He should have come and claimed that.
I couldn't get the link to work but I'm still searching the Yorkshire Post for it.
Found it!
"LEEDS United will begin their attempt to have a 15-point deduction overturned next Wednesday."
I'll provide a detailed account on the blog.
Here it is again
http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/BREAKING-Leeds-United-tribunal-date.3976202.jp
The whole address isn't there unless you widen this window
I'm off for a half-time shower - back in a tick.
Half time
Fulham are winning away from home!!
What will happen next? Cardiff making the cup final? Pompey making the Cup final and be favorites??
"Tony is back" !
What have I missed ?
The Swans are leading at half time
Welcome back Tony.
How was Mouldyhall?
Bob has become excited about the Leeds appeal.
Derby have been hammered in the first half.
United still top of the Prem
You surprise me about United .
Mildenhall was fine thanks . Of course I'm using Deb's car while she is away .
Is that the car they got just as we left last year?
Yes it is Dave
Do you like it?
Bolton 1 - 0
Thanks Tony, that hasn't popped up yet
UNITED BETTER NOT LOSE TO WEST HAM!!!!
The car is quite nice to drive .
Different than the Golf . I still prefer the Land Rover though .
I'm back too. "Mouldyhall," Dave? Remember that I spent many a year in Mildenhall. Loved it. I wonder if The Ship is still there. I used to love that pub, especially in the summer when they had the beer garden area open.
What a shot by Brian!!
Oh, nearly a cracker from McBride. A very, very tasty volley that rockets off the bar. Hahnemann was beaten there. Nearly game over for Fulham.
I know The Ship isn't there any more
Tony, give us a Pub run down of Mildnehall
Southend have tied it up
1610: Birmingham miss an absolute sitter. Liam Ridgewell volleys over from five yards with the goal gaping. "The chance of the match by 100 miles," reports the BBC Radio 5 Live commentator.
The Ship was closed down many years
ago . It was pulled down and replaced
with a private house . I used to like
that pub as well . Even Parkers Mill
next door is now being turned into
flats . It's old folks houses in
front of the old pub .
Luton are beating Brighton
The Half Moon was the local down the street from the house. Steve and I used to sneak down there for a quick pint while we were "walking the dog."
Then there was the White Hart Hotel, where we used to play pool. There were some dodgy ones across the main street that we rarely went into because of the rough clientele.
Shame about The Ship.
What about some other pubs?
Villa are four up
Jude's Ferry? Surely that's still there, although they really should do something about that dangerous little bridge out front.
That was the Tiger's Head, right?
That's the one. Tiger's Head. We went in there once on a epic pub crawl and weren't received well. I'm not sure we ever went back in.
TRANMERE 0 NOTTM FOREST 2 Wes Morgan scores for Forest and that surely means it's all over for Rovers' play-off hopes.
The Half Moon is still there . Though
It has changed quite a bit . More of
a food pub now . White Hart is still
there , but all trendy now . As is
the Bell Hotel . Tigers Head still
the same . Still a bit rough .
It's another terrible day for Derby, it's now 4-0 to Villa, skipper Gareth Barry the latest to net.
United will have to score three tomorrow to keep with Derby
-56 to United's +53
I remember one pub crawl where we started at the Half Moon and the goal was to have a half-pint in every pub along the way as we made our way down to the Ship at the other end in town. My brother was there, Greg Dosedel for sure, maybe Joel. Not sure if you were part of that group, Dave. I'm almost sure that we didn't make it to The Ship. I seem to remember finding a cart in the shopping center area near the pool and my brother rolling me home in the cart. Good times.
The bridge outside Judes Ferry has been replaced with a nice new one .
Much better ! The pub is still there though I don't use it anymore .
The bridge outside the Ferry has changed. When did that happen? I don't seem to remember that from last year.
Bad memories of that bridge, huh Tone
Cambridge are losing
Luton are heading into League Two - they need to win today but they trail 2-1 now despite taking the lead. I reckon they'll go under as a club. I can't see how they'll survive relegation. Shame. I remember watching them on "The Big Match" on Sundays with Gerry Harrison commentating.
Oh, that's right! Sorry, Tony. Didn't mean to bring that up.
Off the same bar from Fulham
Oh, Fulham nearly score again. Off the bar. Reading are hanging by a thread in this match. They really shouldn't get anything out of this match.
I never did like that bridge ! It was torn down a few years ago !!! The road sweeps round to the side of where the old bridge was . Much better .
McBride and wanna wear green is a useful partnership
Bullard has a chance now with a free kick. He's scored a couple of these from this range recently. They could use another special right about now.
Boro have tied it up at WHL
OFF THE SAME BAR AGAIN!!!
Nice shot by Bullard
Off the bar for a third time. You could hear the rattle from here!
Good to hear that that bridge is gone.
Stewart Downing fires Middlesbrough level with a 25-yard right-foot shot that deflects off Jenas, wrongfooting Cerny and finding the bottom corner.
Villa have scored number 5
Bridge Farm Dairy has also been demolished , ready to have houses built on the site .
That was just recently. The building were still there last April
Wow! The dairy's gone, eh? What about the old speedway track in West Row? I remember going to a heavy metal festival there once.
Did the Parkers sell that off?
Is there any milk deliveries anymore?
This post could be called Mildenhall Old Boys today
It goes from bad to worse for Derby. Gabriel Agbonlahor uses his pace to get away from the home defence and finishes smartly with the outside of his foot. Villa 5-0.
Sorry, Dave. Your lot will have to score another against the Arse tomorrow.
Maybe the relegation story is not all done and dusted.
Everton have taken the lead at St. Andrews
Well, we spent more time around Mildenhall than we did around Lakenheath because of where we lived. I was just thinking that that bus ride out to Feltwell must have been immense for you, Dave. How long did it take in the morning? I only had to go from Mildenhall to Feltwell one year - 8th grade - after we moved from Feltwell and I drove in with my Dad rather than taking the bus in.
This will keep Everton wanting to do well against Chelski next Thursday.
As for the bottom, two from four I would guess
If the scores stay the same
Fulham 27, Bolton 29, Brum 31, Reading 32 and maybe Wigan on 34(but they'll win on Monday)
Sunderland have just fallen behind Citeh
A shocker of a penalty decision at the Stadium of Light. Daniel Sturridge goes down really easily in the box under the challenge of Nyron Nosworthy and it's a spot-kick to City. Elano scores the penalty.
A very good day so far for Fulham.
Speedway is still there . They also do dog racing there as well . The dairy has only just been pulled down.
They haven't even started building yet . Bridge House where the Parkers used to live is still there . Though nobody has lived there for many years and I'm really not sure what is happening with it .
The bus ride was a lovely twenty minutes. The year I started there is when they started sending the Feltwell buses separate than the rest. When I was in elementary school, everyone was on the same bus. Dropped off HS, then Ele. than picked up base kids and then went to Feltwell.
What house are you talking about?
Birmingham have tied it up
Stoke are beating Coventry
Villa have hit half a dozen
BIRMINGHAM 1 EVERTON 1 This could be the most important goal of their season as Mauro Zarate brings them back onto level terms at St Andrews. Should be some ten minutes there.
Sunderland have tied it up
Twenty minutes from LHS to Feltwell? Are you sure? You must have been on a jet-propelled bus!
Citeh have taken the lead again
Marlon Harewood makes it six for Villa at Pride Park, yet more really poor defending by the home side.
1646: GOAL Sunderland 1-2 Man City
Heartbreak for Sunderland. Darius Vassell's effort is absolutely awful - scuffed and mis-hit - but it's still enough to trickle past keeper Craig Gordon.
As you come out of Mildenhall the road bends to the right to go to Worlington or you turn left to Barton Mills . It's the house right in front of you .
Fulham score a second. Nice move.
Well deserved!!!
I remember
Fulham have done it! Nevland with the second and surely they're home and dry now.
As soon as I say Fulham don't stand a chance they go and get an away win . Just shows what I know !
Misery over for the Rams
It ends 6-0
That's it for Fulham.
They played well
It's still an uphill battle for Fulham, although they've got an easier run in than Bolton do. Still, they have to hope that Brum or Reading start sinking.
Bolton have won as well
Brum and Everton have drawn
I'm off to take Karen out to lunch now. She says 'hi.' See you tomorrow for the big 'un?
Take care, lads!
See you guys later . I'm off to feed Deb's cats .
Take care Bob.
I am going to check in once in a while with the other match but I have to go out and do some yard work
Hiya
Congrats Leeds. Also well in Fulham. Nice to see them get an away win. I didn't think I'd live to see the day. I'm really hoping that they'll squeak it and keep in the division.
Sorry to miss Tony. I was going to let him know that the boom-box he sold me in college served me well until I was burglarized and had it knicked off me. Probably still going. Steve
Hiya, Gooner. Thanks for all the toys that you sent down with KC. I also got the remote in the post yesterday. I'll be up and running and competing with the geezer upstairs with the karaoke machine in no time!
Excellent. I hope it all works. Her dog chewed the remote a little, but she swears it still works. Have fun with KC.
