Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Let me first recommend the excellent coverage of Democracy Now in their two-hour special edition this morning. You can download it from iTunes or the Democracy Now website.
MSNBC is focusing a bit much on the drama between the Hillary hold-outs and the Barack people outside the convention. There are only about 40 people out there so that's hardly a mass movement.
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper is speaking at the moment. I don't have any comment; I just love the name.
Hickenlooper.
The way that Terry McAuliffe is describing Michelle Obama's speech tonight, it sounds like a real tearjerking, rags to riches, pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
If that happens, I've off to the Law and Order re-runs.
Nancy Pelosi starts with a tip o' the hat to Billary. Why the hell is this all about the Clintons?
Runnin' scared of them. I tell ya, the threat of them derailing this campaign is what's running the convention.
By the way, who invited Pat "Turd in the Punchbowl" Buchanan? What disrespect towards Hilary is he talking about? Why in God's name would Obama vet Hillary as a Veep?
It's always pointless to have Pat Buchanan on as a pundit as he merely repeats the GOP talking points. This week it's that Barack dissed Hillary. I heard Chris Wallace and Brit Hume echoing it yesterday on Fox News. You might as well just get the press release from McCain central every morning and let that be it.
But it's particularly pointless to have him on during this week, commenting on what the Dem. strategy should be. Should they invite a DNC hack like Terry McAuliffe along to the RNC next week?
Here comes the tribute to Ted. I'm betting no mention of Chappaquiddick.
It's Ted time!
These videos are becoming a bit much.
Nice bit of Stevie Wonder to welcome Michelle there.
Well, that was all a bit vacuous. KO thinks it's "case closed." I'm not sure what the case was, but there was nothing there that a Republican would disagree with. I love my kids, I've worked hard, my parents were good to me. Who cares?
Okay, I'm starting to understand why the right criticizes the Olbermann anchoring role for these events. He's positively gushing here.
Love your commentary, TBD . . . I thought Michelle was terrific, but I'm a little worried about how turning the mic over to a 7 year old is going to play across the country . . . And Michelle wasn't the mousy first lady that America usually adores . . .
