Midweek footy!
Damn I hate this clock change, I used to be able to watch games at my desk from 3-5 when it was quiet but 4-6 puts me into my metro commute - its just not right.
THat said i am looking forward to the latest tales of NEWCASTLE WOE and tomorrow the North London derby is huge given the new manager, the title chase and the fact that its class against scum, again.

Thanks for the posting, Simon. Actually, the later time works for me as I've been able to escape from work in order to settle in for the afternoon's matches. Beyond the one Premiership fixture, we've got a full Division 1 schedule included my beloved away to the Shrimpers.
Hey Guys, I am pleased about the clock change for tomorrow but not today. I have come home from work to watch the match today but may miss the end because I have to go to the college tonight.
As for tomorrow, I am pleased that I will be home before kick off for United vs Hammers.
I have the TV on and the p2p link. Sky coverage on the computer is great.
IT IS BLOODY SNOWING OUTSIDE!!
BTW, Kathy just brought in a lovely cup of tea and some cheddar cheese on toast. LOVELY JUBBLEY
Welcome, Dave! No snow over here in Western New York but no doubt it's on its way. Thanks for the heads-up.
Hello Robert
Sky in the tunnel with the teams... love it
Alan Parry and Andy Gray on the microphone on the computer... same for TV please
So what match are you watching on-line. The Newcastle-WBA is on the box.
Ah, I get it - you're watching for the primo commentary. Smart lad.
Can you believe that Joe Kinnear keeps picking Joey Barton?
Yup, it is a little behind the tv but better commentators
There is a full program of League Football tonight as well.
Good luck to your lot
It's Tony Mowbray doing the commentary on the box.
Cheers, mate. We start three points behind league leaders Scunthorpe, who are away to 7th place Oldham.
The computer is about 40 seconds behind the TV
Some of the matches in the league have been postponed for snow!!
Spirited start from the home team. For some reason, I picked an away win for WBA today - 0-1.
I think you're going to be wrong. I think the Toon will win
Really? Postponed for snow? Blimey. It looked like all of them had kicked off on time. Southend-Leeds are in the fifth minute without any major action as of yet.
I might be. But I have to say that I've definitely improved in the past month. I'm up into 10th place now on 250 points. I scored 130 last weekend alone!
Pen for the Toon
Penalty for Newcastle. Ameobi seemed to be diving even before the contact there.
And here's Joey Barton with the penalty....miss it! No, he scores.
Andy G thinks it is one
Joey GBH scores
Joey Barton the role model? Don't think so.
I thought it was too but I definitely thought Shola was looking for it.
First time since taking the lead against Bolton in the second game of the season that Newcastle have taken the lead. The only game they won
For once there's a goal in the Prem before any in Division 1.
So do you think that Joe Kinnear can turn things around at Newcastle? How about Harry at Spurs?
It looks like were a bit under the cosh at Southend. Come on, you Whites!
First goal of the afternoon in Division 1 - it's Peterboro taking the lead away to cellar dwellers Crewe.
I think 'Arry will be a success. Joe K. no
Come on, you Baggies! Pull your fingers out!
Derby have taken the lead against the Cannaries
How about Tony Adams at Pompey?
I thought they would keep him. I knew the old Gooner wouldn't follow him to WHL
Poor old Norwich - they could get relegated this year. Meanwhile Derby are on a bit of a tear recently.
West Brom are looking hopeless!
Young Fergie has his lads leading at Crewe
Leeds have fallen behind in the 18th m
Bugger! Southend have scored on the 18th minute.
Not good... MK Dons have taken the lead as well
For some reason our form is much worse in mid-week. I wonder what the lads are up to on a Monday or Tuesday night in Leeds? Surely not down the Majestik!
MK Dons' goal scored by ex Red and probably the ugliest many in football. Luke Chadwick
Well, the Dons are playing at the Orient, who are pants this season. They'll go down.
Definitely. Luke Chadwick is the missing link of football. Horrible!
Plymouth have taken the lead at Hillsborough
My predictions have gone up as well Bob, 100 plus two weeks straight and put my bonus ball on a 3-0 for City over Stoke while several picked United and lost 30 :)
West Brom are all ka-dumph!
I didn't see Graham Roberts!
Newcastl game somewhat dull... commentators are even dull.
Worse still i stepped away from my desk and missed the penalty..
This is just a teaser for tomorrows meat and potatoes.
Yeah, I had the bonus on Citeh as well for a 3-0 win and picked up 90 on that one. I noticed that Steve did as well.
Absolutely - any prediction on the North London derby?
The Dons are two up
Graham Roberts is clearly on the coaching staff at the Hawthorns.
Ugly Boy with his second
Oldham have taken the lead against the leaders
Steve copies - you have to cover your work when Steve is around...
Commons sense says Arry comes in and plays for a 0-0 and the team respond well in his first full game but I think Arsenal can unlock them and will win it 1-0.
Typical gooner
Well done, Oldham! They've taken the lead against Scunthorpe.
The computer link says that the SJP is having problems with a section of floodlights. I can't tell on the TV
how many times can they show the penalty incident? This game is going backward fast. West Brom are a tight tough to break down team but once you have them they have very little in midfield to create chances.
I reckon a hard-fought draw would be an excellent result for 'Arry.
Carlisle is losing to Hartlepool
Well, there haven't been any highlights since the pen. It's been dire.
boom boom
I wonder what's going on at Carlisle. They looked a class outfit last season and they've tumbled down the table quickly in recent weeks.
Derby have scored a second against Norwich
What was that for, Basil?
MY problem with Arry is that at Portsmouth he assembled a very good team last year, a team that should have been able to beat a big 4 side in the league yet he played for draws, goalless ones in all of them, even at home. He lost all the away games and drew all 4 home ones. He is too happy to not get beat. With that team he could have competed much better. Granted he beat United in the Cup but that was a joke as United should have won 9-0.
His lazy attitude wont get Spurs into the top 4, it will get them out of relegation but they wont push on under him.
They crushed you at ER this season, right?
Let's hope Delia comes out at half-time to gee up the crowd!
The " haven't been any highlights since the pen. It's been dire." comment to do with floodlights
I agree - Spurs will end up in mid-table with nothing to play for but an Intertoto spot.
Ah - that was entirely unintentional but I'll take the boom boom regardless.
Oh, that should have been the equalizer for the Baggies. Good save, Gomes but Morrison is useless.
Good save by Given
Leicester have taken the lead against Brighton
Leicester are one up now. Not a good set of results so far. We're now in fourth.
Newcastle would be in the conference but for Given - he must love his life there because he is far above that team.
Sorry, that is Given. I don't know why I suddenly put the Spurs keeper in goal for the Magpies.
The Toon should have scored there
Ipswich have taken the lead against Charlton
I would imagine that the Newcastle players are kings of the toon in a place like Newcastle. That might feel rewarding for a player even when the team isn't doing very well. You certainly wouldn't ever have to pay for a meal or a pint.
Looks like Leeds are clawing their way back into the match at Southend.
Probably why Jenas left - who would buy him a pint?
I suppose that there's no reason to hope for an East Anglian revival any time soon.
I certainly wouldn't.
Great run but what a useless cross by Martins
Martins - 2-0!
He makes up for it.
Two nil
Nice prediction Bob
What did the fullback think he was doing. He was two yards off Martins when the cross came over. Criminal defending there.
Cheers, mate. I still have a chance for a 2-3, eh?
Kinnear may get an extension at this rate... I still think Newcastle could be relegated though - they are very thin. Luckily Stoke, West Brom and strangely Fulham may keep them up. Bolton are poor too.
Fryatt adds his second for Leicester against a hapless Brighton. I think the Gulls have recently lost control of their ground and are in trouble of going under.
Think i put 2-1 for this - come on you toothless baggies.
Leicester are two up
There are certainly a lot of poor teams at the bottom of the Premiership this year. Any three from the bottom seven or eight could go down.
I don't know what I was thinking. I obviously discounted the Joe f---king Kinnear factor; I'm a right c--t.
Forest have taken at Palace
Wolves are winning against Swansea
Half time at SJP
Language Timothy
Half-time: Newcastle 2-0 up and in complete control. Hard to see WBA getting back into this one.
Sorry.
My Link has the guy changing the channels all over the place. He isn't keeping it on the half time show. He has changed it to Sky Sports News
I've seen that happen too. It looks like some kind of high-priced satellite coverage, right? Beyond my budget, I'm afraid.
And now he has changed it to tennis. Rodick vs some bloke named Lopez
Now on to boxing
Nope, he has changed it to Bull Riding!!
WHo is the plonker!!!
Occasionally, I'll see a comment from some wag in the chat box saying "put on some porn!"
He is changing again... Ultimate Fighting
No he is back on Boxing
Back to football... I think. It is a commercial but it did say Live Ford Football
Wouldn't you love to give this ShamWow geezer a good kicking?
My link has the Shamwow guy advert at the mo, its FSC in high quality.
http://www.ustream.tv/videoplayerpopup/channel/327975
Why does he have the headset on? Who's talking to? Honestly! I ask you!
Shamwow... I WANT ONE
QPR are down to ten men at home to Brum
My wife swears by them though i refuse to let her get them sent to my home - i imagine that as soon as you order anything from an FSC channel , the rest of these things arent far behind.
Dear Mr Burke
We see you recently ordered 2 Shamwow clothes - we would now like to offer you a Starkick (remember that), the entire 15 DVD set of Taylor Twellmans soccer tips and some nails and a hammer from that bloke who shouts a lot and has painted on hair. Also Giuseppe Franco wants to flog you some hair product which you must never ingest.

Very good
I agree - as soon as the ShamWow shows up, you're immediately signed up for the Jennifer Love Hewitt zit cream club.
I am off to teach at the college fellas. It has been fun.
I will be around tomorrow for the big boys.
Simon, I don't even know which is your team but ...
Best of luck in the second half Bob. Remember.... IT'S LEEDS TIME
Brunt has a go from the Home Counties.
Cheers, Dave. Enjoy your class.
I too have to bail... I cant take any more of this Newcastle game...
Have a good one!
Ismail Miller coming on soon; he looked useful at the weekend.
Cheers, Simon - nice chatting with you. See you tomorrow, eh?
Another wasted opportunity for Morrison.
Oldham now 2-0 up over Scunthorpe. If we could claw our way back into our match, we could pick up some pace on them.
Newcastle have certainly taken their foot off the pedal in this second half. West Brom have a chance to get back into this.
Oldham 3-0 up over Scunthorpe. Bloody Norah! It's a hat-trick for some bloke named Allesandra.
Yes! West Brom back in it through a goal from Ismail Miller.
2-1!
The tide seems to have shifted back in Southend's favor now but it's still only 1-0. We have a chance.
Brighton have got one back against Leicester. I would luv it if they got an equalizer.
Five minutes left for Leeds to dig something out of this match. Come on!
Hard to see WBA getting two now. Simon's prediction of 2-1 is looking pretty good.
Leeds have ended at 1-0. Shame. Another poor mid-week performance. Fortunately Brighton have done us a favor by knocking in a late winner and Oldham have tonked Scunthorpe.
Full time at St. James's and it's Newcastle's first win of the season and ten dropped points for me on the predictions.
