Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

It was 20 years ago, today, St. Michael tought some scousers how to cry.

It was up for grabs then. Still a miracle. Happy St. Michael's day and RIP Brian Moore.

And here it is immortalised in the original - and still best - 1997 adaptation of Fever Pitch with Colin Firth as the Nick Hornby stand-in. Still gives me tingles.

My favorite line? "Oh, shut it, Pleat!" I feel like that whenever I hear him on the commentary.

Ta for this. I've posted it up on FB. Lots of Brian Moore commentary posts, but this is the only one like this.
