Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

US Squad for Costa Rica on Wednesday

Remember that ESPN is showing this live from Saprissa Stadium at 10pm Eastern. Here's the list of Bradley's usual suspects plus a return for Benny Feilhaber who apparently escaped Derby's frying pan straight into the firey oblivion of Danish football. Also, a point for discussion: the US Soccer website lists Guzan's goal total as 1. WTF?

Looks like a good squad to me. I'm glad to see Jay Demerit back in the fold and hope he gets a game ahead of Gooch.

Is it possible that Brad scored either a header from a corner against a no-hoper side in a rout? Or maybe a penalty in a shoot-out that they somehow counted? Just a thought.

I too don't fancy the idea of Gooch in Saprissa with some nippy little flopper posting up against him. God knows that we'll end up with a sh-t CONCACAF ref so I'd prefer someone a little less clumsy back there.

I really am intrigued about Guzan's goal. Maybe one of those Pat Jennings clearances?
