Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

front and center we have UWS and AZkicker,
The bloke over your shoulder I think was a guy named Chris.
For a moment I thought that was Greg Dosedel at the right center at the back but I'm no longer sure.
And the student teacher in the hat was that bloke we had coincidentally had our picture taken at Manassas Battlefield when he was working there as a reenactor.
Right you are with those three. It is indeed Chris Walters peeking out over my shoulder. He and his older brother (don't remember his name) lived on the other side of Portal Close from us, just down the street from AZ next to the big field where we played a load of pick-up footie matches. See anyone else in that picture?
Hey. there's Dave Vansuch, right?
Yeah, right behind the guide and looking a good deal shorter than I remember him. Was he standing in a hole?
Nice picture
All my family recognized me and Bob easily!
I think Steve C's slacks were much better than mine
I did notice David Vansuch
Either side of David is Craig Nickerson? and Jim Nieman?
Ring any bells?
Yeah, now that you mention it, I do remember those two. Of course I remembered their faces but I'm always terrible with names. So many of the faces are familiar but I can't put names to them any more. Early dementia no doubt.
You may remember the guy in the hat, who Steve remembers as a tour guide at Manassas State Park in VA, was student teaching in Madame Thompson's room that year. I remember his struggling with Vansuch in particular. He was the one who ordered David to turn around when he was chatting with someone behind him and he did a 360 spin and kept on chatting. Remember that?
Who is the beautiful girl with the bandana in her hair? Jeez, you two, I can't believe you don't remember her name. Certainly, if she'd have been in Spanish class with me I would remember her. Dave, what are you doing on the French trip? Weren't you and I in Cardenzana's class together?
Donna King is over the shoulder of Bandana Girl.
I don't think it was the French Club.
This Is England Club I would say
Sorry, Johnno, I have no idea who bandanna girl is. As I mentioned to Susan Dauber when I saw her in San Diego in April, I was much too frightened to pay much attention to the girls at that age.
Spot on, Dave. It was a "This is England" trip. One of my most vivid memories of that club was getting the chance to visit with this sweet older couple - the Hocklings - who lived in the village. A great experience.
