Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

So Tevez is lining up against his old mates!
I have the Sky Sports link for VSS going strong.
It went from a highlight show to the derby preveiw
So, Carrick seems to have lost his place in midfield. He was our best player in a lot of games in the past two season. I guess no longer a first choice
Nice and sunny in Manchester
Classic T-shirt worn by a United fan at OT
In reference to the the Welcome To Manchester poster
It said Welcome to the end of your career!
The teams are out and ready to get the game going
The crowd cheering all the United players and they are announced. I missed the reaction to Tevez. I did hear him being booed getting of the team coach and coming out to practice
United are attacking the Stretford End in the SECOND half... we won the toss
AND AWAY WE GO
OT sounds great
Bridge's clearance goes straight to Berba but he doesn't make the most of it.
Tev charges down a Foster clearance... a little too close for my liking
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROONEY!!!!!!
SECOND MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Citeh fell asleep from a throw in. Evra finds Rooney and he buries it!!
I hope it isn't the same as last week with the early goalscorers lose!
Great start. Why on earth does Rooney get so much space? Who cares.
Crush City into tiny bits.
Wayne's 6th goal in his sixth league game so far!
I hope we do!
As for your other comment, I agree with you. How do you leave Rooney open. I always say that about Gerrard. How can teams leave him open at the top of the box from a corner. Wouldn't you have someone in his shorts the entire game let a lone a corner!
Absolutely. Gerrard is a good example too. He couldn't rifle 6-7 in a season if the opposition had someone tracking him for 90 minutes. That's the kind of assignment SAF gives Fletcher and it works!
I'm watching the same feed. Does it go a little Premiership Manager on you from time to time? Bellemy looked painted just there at the corner.
I have been walking around a bit so I haven't seen any freezing
I have the Sky Sports link going not the match link
What a great day it looks like. And you're right, the crowd sounds brilliant.
Tev is being booed
All fans of sports are really just fans of laundry!!
I have to leave for my match
FINGERS CROSSED FOR THE REST OF THE MATCH
Keep the home fires burning
UWS
Before I leave, Tevez sets up Gareth Barry
Bugger!!!
Foster should have just clear it!! IDIOT!!
TTFN
Bugger! Rio doesn't play it safe and Tevez gets pressure on Foster. Barry hits the open net.
I think that's down to Rio?
Cheerio. Maybe BDB will wake up soon.
Morning, Gooner. I'm awake. Late night last night watching "The Informant!"
Half an hour gone now and still 1-1. Sounds like that score has been good value. Tevez has just been booked.
Roon lines up a free kick out wide left. Comes to nothing.
Five minutes to play in the first half now.
Vidic and Fletcher bundle over SWP and Vidic takes the yellow. Decent free kick opportunity here for Citeh. Cleared out...
Oh, Tevez was nearly in there but Vidic just got back to put him off. You get the feeling that the side that scores before half time will end up winning this match.
Doyle has put Wolves 1-0 up after 20 minutes.
Dad and I were saying that this is balanced on a knife edge.
I'm surprised a bit by United's undiciplined tackling near the box. I think they gave up 5-6 free kicks that gave City real opportunities. SAF won't be best pleased.
If I were SAF, I'd get that wonderboy Italian that was so hot at the end of last season and use him instead of Berbatov. Berba's plodding approach doesn't work so well against pressing defenders and midfielders like City's.
I agree. Vidic hasn't looked anything near the player this season that he was last season. Rio and Vidic have already given up more goals than they did until Christmas last season.
I still see United pulling this one out.
As the second half gets started, Berba picks up a free kick from Barry. It comes to nothing.
GOAL! Fletcher sneaks in at the backpost and nods home. Good cross over but I do think that the keeper might have done better.
2-1 United!
Given might have got to that, but I was very amused to see Lescott left flailing and Fletcher overpowering Barry to get his big 'ed on that ball. 2-1.
Crush them now!
United move to the top of the table with that goal ahead of Chelski's match with Spurs at 11 am. Spurs drop to 4th level with Liverpool, Villa and Spurs on 12 points. And if Arsenal win their game in hand, they'd be on 12 points as well.
GOAL! Bellamy! A wonderful equaliser for City. Bellamy cuts in from the left flank and smashes a brilliant shot into the top corner from 25 yards out. Stunning strike and another excellent response from City.
Blimey, what a match!
United down to second; Citeh back up to third.
You have a good feed? VSS and Magid and Iraq goals keeps going out on us.
Anderson rifles a free kick into the Citeh wall. United haven't really taken advantage of these chances. Giggs comes close as the play ends.
No, I'm having trouble with Iraq goals, but I keep reloading. It's the best we're gonna do, unfortunately.
Park trots off to be replaced by Valencia. That could give United a bit of zip down the right.
So twenty five minutes left for either side to achieve that breakthrough goal.
Ooh, great save Given from a header from Roon. Point blank.
Lescott is looking really stretched in this match.
Good stuff from Giggsy leads to another header and another great save from Given. He's keeping Citeh in this one as United pour on the pressure.
Twenty minutes left. United have had 15 goal attempts to Citeh's seven.
Another great save from a super volley by Given. Just tipped over.
City are rocking but they don't have too much on the bench to change things. Mark Hughes must be a worried man at this stage.
Fifteen minutes left in this one...
Good play on the right by Valencia but Rooney can't get a proper connection on an attempted overhead kick from the winger's cross.
Corner to United. Giggs whips it over and it's cleared out by Richards. Sparky is losing his mind on the touchline.
I agree with Gooner. Macheda might just be the kid to break this deadlock.
GOAL! Nope, it's Fletcher with his second who has won it for United. Giggsy knocks it over and Fletch gets his head on it again and sticks it in the same spot as with his first.
3-2!
Off comes Nigel de Jong and on comes Martin Petrov to try to level this one up.
Five minutes and change in this one....
It's now or never for Citeh.
Carlos Edwards has added a second goal for Wolves. 2-0 at Molyneux against Fulham.
Almost a third equaliser for City as the corner comes clear to Barry, who drills the ball across the face of goal and just out of Richards' reach. Any decent contact from the City man would surely have made it 3-3.
GOAL - BELLAMY AGAIN! Unbelievable. A lazy flick from Ferdinand in midfield costs United possession, and Bellamy races clear, rounds Foster and slots home an equalizer from a tight angle.
3-3!
A late, late appearance from Michael Carrick. I can't imagine his scoring a fourth for United.
That equalizer blew a perfect prediction from me. Damn!
Danny Murphy has got one back for Fulham from the penalty spot.
Saha fires Everton into the lead against Blackburn. 1-0 there.
Mad scramble in the Citeh box. Given punches clear and Roon fires a shot well over. Not over quite yet.
GOAL IN THE 96th MINUTE! Absolutely incredible! In the SIXTH minute of stoppage time, Giggs spots Owen inside the box with a super pass and Owen stabs the ball past Given and United have surely won the game!
4-3!
And there's barely time for the ref to restart the match before the final whistle. United win. WOW! The match of the season?
365 comments: "Mark Hughes is furious at the amount of time added time on. Four minutes were signalled but in the end over six minutes were played. City thought they had equalised in the final minute but Owen popped up to put United top - temporarily at least. Surely one of the best Manchester derbies in a long time!"
The second big match of the day - Chelski v. Spurs at Stamford Bridge is about to start. How can it possibly meet the standards of that earlier Manchester derby? We'll see.
Chelski go with their typical line-up this year, with Anelka and Drogs up front and Lamps in the hole.
Chelski right into the action. Bosingwa knocked a great ball in and Bassong did well to get it out of the danger area.
Very tight offside call against Drogs playing off the shoulder.
Cech took too long to deal with a Terry backpass there and gave up a needless throw.
Defoe was nearly in there. He's been on fire so far this season.
Wow - super shot from Bosingwa from an acute angle rockets off the angle of the post and bar. Could have easily gone in.
Spurs need to get Aaron Lennon running. Very little from the boy so far.
Great ball through to Defoe and he's in one-on-one with Cech. The big keeper did well to save with his feet.
Great effort from Huddlestone, saved again by Cech's feet. Spurs have come to life in the past couple of minutes.
Corluca goes in on a risky challenge against Cashley but he timed it well.
Oh, Jenas should have scored at the end of a great move there. Shot well wide. Spurs are really clicking here.
It is noticeable that the top six or eight clubs are playing really great stuff this year. It's made it a much more exciting season to have Spurs and Citeh in flowing form.
Oh, Anelka rockets one into the side netting from a tight angle. Twenty minutes gone.
Everton are now 3-0 up against Blackburn, who have slipped into the relegation zone on this result.
Great cross over from Bosingwa and Corluca just about got there before Bollocks.
Thirty minutes in and this one has swung back and forth.
GOAL! Cashley sneaks in around the back and latches onto a great cross across the 6 yard box from Drogs. Great diving header.
1-0!
Nearly an immediate response. Lennon finding Defoe at the top of the box but Carvalho did well.
Almost everything Chelski is doing going forward is straight down the right through Anelka and Bosingwa. Deadly combination.
I am back
We got crushed this morning. We had no subs and I hurt my left buttock!! I actually went in goal for the last ten minutes!
WOW!!!
What a result! Wonder why more time was added at OT. WHO CARES!!!
DId United deserve it?
Missed the result, busy helping a friend move today but will be watching the Everton/Blackburn match on delay later.
Oh, LOOVENS!
Have a good Sunday.
Seven goals... ALL BRITISH PLAYERS were the scorers!
Three English.. Rooney, Barry and OWEN
Two Scottish... Fletcher, Fletcher
Two Welsh... Bellamy, Bellamy
Not bad
Bugger
Spurs should have been given a penalty but Chelski go down the other end and score their second
Shot by Drogs saved, Lamps crosses the rebound to Bollocks to tap in
Bollocks off for Mikel
Drogs with Chelsea's third
Good pace but got a little lucky to go around the keeper
oooh,
Palacious hits one just wide
A Spurs player has to be taken off on a stretcher with a neck brace on.
A long delay is followed by Drogs hurting his right leg. Can't put any weight on his leg. He is off on a stretcher as well.
How much injury time will there be?
It was Bassong that went off for Spurs
Funny, I show up and everyone else buggers off
Eight minutes of added time
Crouch puts one in the net but called offside. He is
It's over
Very comprehensive by Chelsea
11 wins in row
Could have been different if the Pen was given
Wonder about Drogba. He didn't look good
Take care everyone
Best of luck on Tuesday Bob
