Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Epidemic of Away-Day Burglaries at Footballer's Homes

I'd heard of this phenomenon before, but didn't realize that it had escalated into robbery as well. And despite police protestation to the contrary, it does seem organized but confined to the NW of Britain. Why wouldn't some enterprising firm go after those guys from Chelsea for instance? Would Roman's goons deal with them "Layer-Cake" style?

Here's the story that caught my eye. CLICK!

At the risk of regional stereotyping, you'll note that most of this activity seems to be centered on Liverpool. There is, after all a reason why Leeds fans used to heckle Scousers with "We've got Dom Matteo/You nick car stereos" (to the tune of "La Donna E Mobile.")

Yeah, but Darren Fletcher, Roque Santa Cruz, Macheda, and Emile Hesky's places are in Greater Manchester. I just wonder if since Arsenal will be playing in Greece and Chelsea wherever they're away to, will London's villians be round Arshavin's and Drogba's gaffs with their swag-sacks?

I guess the clubs or players will have to spend some of their millions on security guards for their homes during matchdays... or set up a fake match and catch them in the act!!!
