Shocker: FIFA Considers France v. Ireland Replay!

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

This is a simple fix or consequences (depending on how you look at it).
1) Do not let the referee and two linemen officiate any other World Cup matches until next World Cup.
2) For the coming games: Allow each coach the opportunity to challenge a play/call (only one per game, regular game and overtime) through “instant replay” and they can only call it when the ball is “out of play” or their own team has possession of the ball (this way you can’t call it when your opponent has possession of the ball).
Its pretty lousy moving forward this way and since FIFA does not want to fix this injustice they might as well makes changes so this does not happen again (why not use the technology that we have to ensure this does not happen again).
Thanks for your post, Preston. I think you're right on point. I've been in favor of the two challenge/game idea for some time. There's no way that that would slow down the match significantly.
I agree with Preston too. It can only apply to deadball situations when the play has stopped anyway.
But really, shouldn't Mr. Hansson have consulted the assistant? How is it that everyone in the ground had a clear view of TH14 handling the ball except him? Now I have to suspend my belief further to believe that neither lino could see it either?
I understand that TH14 shook hands with Richard Dunne after the match ended. What great TV it would have been if Dunny had just chinned him spark out right then. Who wouldn't have watched that?
