Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Le Tiss to teach England how to take penalties?

The Guardian has a story today that Matthew Le Tissier who retired with a 97.9% accuracy rate from the spot has offered to teach Tiny Tears Terry and co. how to take a penalty. I think that's a great idea. As Bob has said before, if taking a spot kick was really a lottery, wouldn't we sometimes win?

Here's the link to the story.

My choice would have been Lothar Mattheus, but I suppose Le Tiss will do. At least Fabio's got an eye toward spotkicks this time. Honestly, does anyone think that we can get straight through to the final without having at least one penalty shootout?

I didn't know about his high success rate so I hadn't considered Matt prior to this.

Yeah, it's good that Don Fabio isn't afraid to tackle this issue head on. He should definitely bring someone good in.
