FA Cup 4rd Round Live!
We have a veritable three course meal of Cup footie on today. It all starts in a moment with Preston North End hosting Chelski on FSC, followed by the entree of a full slate of Cup fixtures including Accrington Stanley hosting Fulham on FSC at 10 am and then the big, fattening dessert of the mighty Leeds taking on Spurs at the Lane. Should be fun. Better with your company. Join me, lads!

Everything seems ready to go at Deepdale. Burnley will be kicking off at Reading at the same time.
A distinctly experimental side for Chelski today with the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Deco in the line-up.
PNE not surprisingly only playing one up front, Chris Brown. I hope that's not the pillock that beat up Rihanna.
Good chance to see Yuri Zhirkov, who's in for Cashley, today. I definitely rate him.
All Chelski possession in the early stages here.
PNE to their credit are trying to play good football but to little effect so far.
Lovely stuff from Zhirkov down the left side, playing a one-two with Lamps and then hitting a vicious shot, well saved by the PNE keeper.
Belletti looks as if he's had enough for today. He's limping about in hte backline looking rather forlorn.
There's a statement of intent from Ancelotti. He's replaced Belletti with Malouda, another attacker.
Lovely move again by Chelski ends up with Anelka tucking home but the referee had blown for a foul on Lamps. They're not pleased.
Free kick, though, with Lamps and Alex over the ball.
Ballack, in the end, takes and it cannons off the wall and out for a corner.
So, PNE have weathered the first half hour against Chelski. Can they push on?
No score as well at Reading.
Good morning Robert.
I am here too. I watched a little of the match in bed and have now come down to join you
Don't forget... United could go top of the league with a home win against Hull
Alex hits a free kick and it's saved by Lonergan.
Morning, Dave!
I was looking for United's cup fixture today but couldn't find it. What happened?
So... it's going to be like that huh? Of course, I could always re-hex Leeds!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
Tony also asked me to lift the hex on Fulham. They haven't won since they tonked us
That should be an intriguing match today. Why does Tony like Fulham. They're Chelski's local rivals!
Bugger.. Anelka puts the blues ahead
GOAL! Anelka fires Chelski into the lead. It was coming but Anelka needed a big deflection on his shot to beat the keeper.
0-1 Chelski!
Fulham is Tony's team that he drew in the pub competition. He gets an extra 35 points I think in the league
Ah, yeah. I forgot that. What's the prize?
Dunno,
quite a bit of dosh though
My SS link isn't opening on VSS
Why doesn't Fergie, Jr. look like his dad?
oooh,
how did he miss that!!
FIVE YARDS OUT!
Oh, how did Carter miss that one? What a sitter!
From p2p
http://www.justin.tv/vip__tv/popout/
Still 0-0 Reading v. Burnley coming up on half-time.
Cheers, mate!
PNE knocking on the door here at the end of the half.
Brilliant clip there on SS!
Chelski go in 0-1 at half-time. Ancelotti will be reasonably pleased, but to be fair PNE might have been level if Carter had pulled his finger out.
Half time
PNE have held their own
Great talk about the Hammers on SS
Second half underway at Deepdale
That didn't take long!
Sturridge doubles Chelsea's lead
Game over... just blow up ref
Pompey talk now and it is so said
Why is Sol suing the club??? Doesn't he have enough money? Why does he want to be the guy that puts a club out of business
It is so SAD not said
I'm back after a brief kip on the couch. This one's just about over.
Good morning AGAIN
are there games that are important in L1?
I don't understand anything about Sol Campbell these days.
Well, I'm hoping that Brentford can nick some points off Norwich at Carrow Road. It's got very tight at the top of L1 again. Norwich would go top with a win today. Of course we have some games in hand.
Carter comes off. He had his chance in the first half and his day is over now.
SS lads having a good larf in the studio with Chris Kamara.
I love SS
Where did all the money go? That's what we're all asking these days, eh? I just heard that the SUNY system is going to have a $100 million cut next year.
Really?
Yikes!
Yeah - our President tossed out Hershey's Kisses at the opening of the semester meeting yesterday and then said, "That's the sweetest deal you'll get all year." Boom boom!
Sturridge nearly adds a third goal there. Nice curler. Lamps coming off.
Joe Cole trotting on. Will he start for England next summer? Still an open question, isn't it?
Ooh, Ballack brings another terrific save out of Lonergan. Without him it might be 4 or 5-0.
The PNE substitute striker looks as if he's been at the pies, eh?
What about that Semi at Villa Park
6-4!
Did you see Dempsey's brilliant over the head kick that hit the crossbar?
Glad his injury won't keep him out of the WC
Yeah - he's been in great form. Hope he'll come back strong. With Charlie Davies out as well, we're a bit thin up front.
Anelka hits another one and Lonergan saves well again.
Rio's back in the United line-up today. Owen starts with Roon up top. Interesting.
Man Utd team news?
Rio is back Rio is back
So is Owen playing alongside Rooney
Valencia and Berba on the bench
Inside the last ten minutes. Reading and Burnley still deadlocked. PNE putting on a brave show here at Deepdale.
I've stopped really watching. I am mostly watching SS
Leeds match is on at 12:15 not 12:30.... don't sleep through it
SS ticker says... Leeds beat United at OT and haven't won since... the hex is over... if there are no more sarky comments coming from western NY
I'm going to be wide awake for our match, believe me! Extra caffeine for that one. I'm not expecting much, though. I just don't want to get tonked and for it to add to our slump. To be fair, both sides are going through sticky patches.
Reading have stuck one in right at the death! They might well knock out another Premiership scalp.
Full-time at Deepdale. Chelski have strolled it. So much for the romance of the Cup.
Good pictures of the protest outside Fratton Park. I'm with them.
I know what you mean about being with them but are they going to put the club out of business!
My mom would be so upset. I know my Aunt and Uncle are
Reading win again
Give their manager a full time job!
Off to shower before the 10 o'clocks
Leeds team news. Becchio should be fit to start up to with JB. Kisnorbo comes back into the side to partner skipper Richard Naylor at the back. Should be a full strength side.
Meanwhile, both Aaron Lennon and Robbie Keane are out for Spurs. I'm happy with that. The last thing we needed was to face our old boys.
I am back and nice and clean
Now to look for a United link
Next up - the 10 am kickoffs with Accrington Stanley v. Fulham on the box.
Glad to hear that you're fresh. I'm going to stay funky until after the Leeds match. Of course, I'm sporting the lucky Leeds shirt. Won't take it off until necessary.
Channel 2 of VSS is up and running
COME ON UNITED!
We're off at Old Trafford
TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!
Great pictures from Accrington Stanley. I love these matches that are played at tiny grounds. Luv it!
Two great links on my computer
SS and United
LOVELY JUBBLEY
Bugger... just lost my link from OT
Why do I have to open my mouth
Got it back.
United go close
Corner to United... useless
Definite slant to the pitch at Accrington. Fulham will be attacking downhill in the first half.
Wolves 0 Palace 1
United support already shouting "We want Glazer out!" Wow!
Why don't they just get out
They would surely find a buyer for UNITED!
Jeff's down in the dumps. Bristol Rovers are already up on Hartlepool.
Villa are already 1-0 up on Gus Poyet's Brighton.
Villa are already up and Gus and his boys
YES!!!
ROOONEY!
That'll open up the floodgates. Roon bang in form these days.
Top of the league!
Cue Floodgates open please.... we need to make ups some goals
Brum are 0-1 up at Goodison. Their season continues to get better.
As for Wayne, he has scored a few lately but I think he has been a bit off.
How can you argue against nine goals in ten?
What is up with Birmingham?
They are one of the elite?
Oooh - good chance for Accrington there.
Donovan has being doing great. I have heard nothing but good things from all the reporters
I reckon that they're playing above their ability. There's always one that excels beyond expectations. But Alex McLeish has done a nice job.
Come on United... get another one sooon
That's what I've heard too. We need that. Jozy has been pants at Hull. Is he even playing today?
MK Dons are winning
Does that matter?
My United link is very choppy
Knock it off
Free kick chance for Hull... after a foul by Scholes... there's a shocker
Bloody hell - Sunderland have scored at Fratton Park. Salt on Pompey fans' misery.
Pompey losing to Sunderland
The Dons are just outside the playoff spots. Don't care about them. I'm only watching Norwich today. Charlton play either tomorrow or Monday. Full slate of L1 matches on Tuesday, with us away to Swindon.
Hull doing some attacking
Knock it off
Blackpool beating Watford
Cardiff beating Leicester
GOAL! Fulham take the lead against the Stanley. A bit scrappy. Duff corner in, Gera nodded toward goal and Nevland tapped home.
0-1 Cottagers.
Full slate of Premier League games this week too
That is when United were supposed to play Hull but the postponed semi had it changed
WBA take the lead against Toon
West Brom take the lead against their Championship rivals Newcastle in the Cup. I'm sure those two are sick of each other.
No goals at Carrow Road?
Lost my United link again... arrrgggh
Not a lot of upsets on today. I suppose we'll have to bring the romance to the Cup again, eh?
Accrington Stanley.. who are they... exactly... tie it up!
GOAL! The Stanley go level!
No upsets?
Accrington's goal is followed by Notts County's against Wigan
Free kick chance for United
Dunno what is going to come of it... my link still freezes
Nani and Roon over it...just outside the D...just wide by Rooney
Found a foreign link but good pictures
10 to go til half at OT
Southampton take the lead against the Tractor Roys
Cardiff 1 Leicester 1
WBA 2 Toon 0... concentrate on promotion?
Maybe that's what Leeds should do!
Wolves tie it up too
Roon misses one from just outside the six
I want a second at OT
Leicester have now taken the lead
Rooney in the book... he lost the ball and then did a childish tackle
No upsets?
Villa have been pegged back with Brighton
Notts County 2 Wigan 0
Birmingham are two up at Goodison
Accrington Stanely are down to ten men
Just ruins the whole match
Half time at OT
We need more goals
Norwich down to ten men!
Pompey tie it up
United need to get four more goals to take the lead in the GD column.
Of course, United have played one more game than Arsenal and two more than Chelsea
I'm back. I was just having a wee chat with the Gooner.
I'm very happy with some of these scores, especially Accrington pegging Fulham back, Brighton pegging Villa back, Notts County over Wigan, and Pompey's equalizer against Sunderland.
Good news about Norwich
A bit of pain watching United with no sound but the picture hasn't frozen once
At least I have SS to listen to
Teams are out for the second half
COME ON UNITED... attacking the Stretford End
They're off
Villa take an early second half lead
Second half starting up at the Crown Ground.
Villa have scored an early goal to make it 2-1.
sounds like FSC is behind SS
Swansea take the lead at the Riverside
Wee Gordon is struggling
What's the news about Norwich? They're still at 0-0, right? That is good but I'd love a Brentford goal. I'm greedy.
They're down to ten men
Linesman down in a heap at OT
He was run over by a couple of players
He seems hurt
Can the ten men of Stanley withstand a second half against Fulham? I hope so. I thought that bloke was hard done by with a red. I'd have given a yellow.
Linesman is up... and automatically signals which way the throw-in is
Bolton take the lead against the Blades
Cambridge losing at home to York
Well done, the linesman. What a trooper!
Ipswich get the ball in the net but the ref calls it back
The ref said a long throw went straight in
Oh, Ipswich have a goal ruled out just as SS go to the reporter.
Did you seen the Norwich news yet?
They're down to ten men
It was their top scorer with a straight red.
He will be gone for three games!
Oh, I get it. Grant Holt was sent off for Norwich. That is good news. He's been on a tear. Can I suggest a six game ban?
Wigan get a goal back
Palace retake the lead at Wolves
United still just one up
Wigan have pegged Notts County back to 2-1.
Meanwhile, Palace have scored again!
I only told you about FIVE times!
Not a lot of goals in L1 today - that suits me just fine.
No troubs.. your mind is already at WHL
Nani makes a good run but should have passed
Good to hear that Nani is back in the side today - I miss that guy.
Mendy off for Barnby
Millwall take the lead at Oldham
Lee Osman gets a goal back at GP
It is indeed.
Is that a bit of sarky coming from Fredonia?
Can you say HEX
The Stanley have got through an hour with ten men. I'm sure that they would be delighted to have a chance to play at Craven Cottage.
Not at all. Not at all. I really do like Nani.
Boro have tied it up
Nani hits one across the box. No one there to connect
PLEASE SCORE A SECOND!
Bloody hell - SS is ahead of FSC. Those buggers!
Still some Sarkiness
you're stepping on eggshells
Bugger FSC is behind! Fulham WILL score
Villa get a third
Finally FSC gets up to the Fulham goal. 2-1 at the Crown Ground. Duff with the goal. Stanley's dream over?
Pompey leading
Lovely jubbly! John Utaka scores Pompey's second.
Come on, the Stanley!
There is no reason for FSC to be so far behind
I agree - I'm going to send a bag of steaming dog crap to Max Bretos.
COME ON UNITED!!!
I WANT MORE!!
25 minutes to go at Old Trafford
There is no reason that United shouldn't have made this safe
John Salako gets the worst games to comment on. Aldershot v. Bournemouth?
I cannot believe that you're complaining. You're bloody top of the league!
United are supposed to play good football
This season... they're not
Park just blew a chance
The Toon get a goal back at the Hawthornes
Hartlepool now 2-0 down.
So not only do United have to win everything in order to please you. They also have to play consistently brilliant total football? You are tough!
Yes they do
A one niller is really good enough
An Owen header is glanced wide
Have a a look at the Fulham subs name - Kagisho Dikgacoi? Blimey - what a mouthfull!
Scholes heads over... his last participation being replaced by Gibson
Berbatov replaces Owen
So as it stands, Chelski, Fulham, Villa, Birmingham, and Pompey are all safe. Of course, Burnley have already been knocked out.
Was Owen really that bad today? Shame. I like him too, of course. (NO SARCASM AT ALL!)
Mendy has a shot but thankfully goes high, wide and 'orrible
Norwich still at 0-0, with about fifteen minutes left. Keep it up, Brentford.
He was okay but he would have scored a hat-trick in Costa Red
Rangers are losing at home to Hearts
Struth
Hull go INCHES wide!
Saints now 2-0 up on Ipswich.
Hulll are pressing
COME ON MAN U!!
Sotton extend their lead against the Tractor Roys
WBA extend their lead at the Toon
Chaos at the Hawthorns. Newcastle going barmy over a penalty call and then WBA get one of their own. 3-1 Baggies.
Gibson tries a shot from MILES out.... take the space
12 to go plus the linesman extra time at OT
Rio is lasting so far
Bugger
Norwich score in the 77th minute
Bugger!
Watford lead against Blackpool
Norwich will be top
Norwich top of L1 then.
Fulham WILL extend their lead
SS announce a goal again ahead of FSC. They better pull their fingers out for the Spurs v. Leeds match.
