Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Newest Trivia Question

It's good to see Bob's Riddle man back!

Here is a trivia question that I just came up with

With Blackpool and Cardiff making the Championship Play Off Final, it means that we are guaranteed a new member of the Premier League. The winner will be the Premier League's ____ member?
How Many? Name them all. ( you don't have to name the 20 from this season)

Nice one, Dave!

I'm guessing 41.

Beyond the twenty that played in the Premier League this season there are:

21. Newcastle
22. WBA
23. Leicester
24. Boro
25. Coventry
26. Forest
27. Sheffield Utd.
28. Sheffield Wed.
29. Ipswich
30. Norwich
31. Reading
32. QPR
33. Derby
34. Watford
35. Palace
36. Southhampton
37. Charlton
38. Swindon
39. Bradford
40. Oldham

and of course.....LEEEEEEEEDS!

Did I miss any?

Good job but if Leeds were #41 then the answer would be 42

Of course, there is a little bit of grey area when it comes to MK Dons! Do we count them because they were Wimpleton?

No chance - MK Dons have nothing to do with the Crazy Gang. So, I'm missing one, eh?

Were Barnsley ever in the Prem?

Barnsley were in the Premier League
So, Barnsley would be #41, Leeds #42
and then this year's play off winner would be #43
I am surprised with how high the number is!

Well done, MUR. Right you are. Bradford have gone from dizzying heights during the Dean Windass days in the Prem to struggling in League 2 today.

How about Middlesbrough? That makes them #43. The play off winner would be #44.
