Afternoon, MUR! Thanks for posting.
I'm just about to wrap up my work for today in the office and head home to put my feet up and watch the big match. See you soon!
I'm home now, MUR. If you're about before the match, pop on Skype for a moment.
Bob, talked to Mom and things have improved a lot overnight. Call me?
Good afternoon Bob and Steve. I am just got back from running some errands. I will try to skype you.
Afternoon boys

Man Utd: Van der Sar, O'Shea, Smalling, Brown, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Hernandez, Rooney. Subs: Kuszczak, Berbatov, Fabio Da Silva, Rafael Da Silva, Valencia, Obertan, Gibson.
What has Berbatov done? He can't get a game
Rupert, Manchester via text: "No Berbatov again! There must be something going on behind the scenes here. He's not exactly off form and he's a player of confidence... He needs games!"
Shame about Vidic
The team news is in from Old Trafford:
United: Van der Sar; O'Shea, Smalling, Brown, Evra; Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs; Hernandez, Rooney
Subs: Kuszczak, Berbatov, Fabio, Rafael, Valenica, Obertan, Gibson

Referee: Carlos Carballo
Good afternoon UWS. I hope United win today.
Afternoon, UWS - how are you, mate?
I quite like this Spring Forward business in that it gives us an extra hour before the match to get a few things done.
News on the Semi Final of the FA Cup
The semis are on April 16 and 17.
Citeh may have an Europa League Quarter Final on Thursday so the derby would be on Sunday BUT... the London Marathon and Arsenal host Liverpool on the same day... what will happen?
Nani is starting, so the post matches today's theme.
I'll also be monitoring two important matches in regard to the top of Championship table. Hoping for a good Coventry win at Burnley and a good Ipswich win at Watford.
There's also a relegation battle between Scunny and PNE.
Welcome back lads
If we are in the CL, will the Fa Cup semis be within a few days of a CL match? It sounds like a really busy weekend.
I agree .
COME ON COVENTRY AND IPSWICH!
Here come the teams
I like that good attacking line-up for United tonight: Rooney and Chicha up front and plenty of width from Giggsy and my boy Nani. Paul "Yellow Card" Scholes tucking in the hole.
Fergie is definitely going for it. I have a good feeling about the match.
CL doesn't necessarily fall on the same week as the Europa League
CL Quarters second leg are 12th and 13th
The other CL match is Bayern vs Inter in a repeat of last year's final. It is advantage Bayern at this point.
I heard on the Guardian pod today that the likely top four finishes for United and Citeh mean that the teams in the other FA semi - Bolton and Stoke are likely to produce the other Europa Cup side. That is - the top four into the CL, while #5 into the Europa League (probably either Spurs or Chelski) plus Brum and Stoke/Bolton in the EL. So, Liverpool might be out of Europe entirely next season. Wow!
Man Utd have not conceded a single goal in the 5 CL matches with Chris Smalling in the starting XI; Man Utd's starting line up has played a total of 675 CL matches, their most experienced side ever.
COME ON FSC... GO TO THE STADIUM!
When is the draw for the Quarters?
The CL quarters second leg will be a few days before the Fa Cup Semis
MInute of silence for Japan.. nice touch
A few United yobs spoiling the moment of silence for Japan.
Probably this Friday
Marseille to get us started. Bill Leslie and Butch Wilkins on the mic.
That was the French
A moment of silence for the victims of the tsunami in Japan.
We're off
I want a quick start like against Munich last season but then hold on!!
The match has kicked off from OT.
I agree . AN early goal will give United lots of confidence.
Damn it.. the sound is off again... did you write a letter and complain yet Bob?
What sound is off, UWS - FSC?
Prediction... what minute is Scholes going to be booked
Scholes to get booked in the 33rd minute.
Listen to the whistle or when a chance happens . It is not the same as the picture
Oh - Nani did really well to get onto the ball in the area but then couldn't find Roon. Bright start from United.
Nice run by Nani, but the pass is broken up in the box.
41st minute
The sound is ahead of the pciture
It looks and sounds fine to me.
Good start from United... COME ON!!
Giggs wins a corner after a nice pass from Roon.
Seriously?
Concentrate and see if the sound doesn't sync up
I would say the 56th minute for Scholes to be booked.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GREAT MOVE... GREAT GOAL!!
GOAL! Chicha taps in after a brilliant move from Rooney to Giggs to Roon again.
1-0 United!
YES!!! Chicharito scores from a brilliant pass from Roon! 1-0 united!
Great job by Hernandez staying on side... A lot of players would have strayed off there
Bugger - Watford have taken the lead at Portman Road. 0-1 there.
Inter have taken the lead!!
There goes Bayern's lead
Roon is off to a great start and had a good match on Saturday. Is he rediscovering his form from previous years?
Watford are now up to 56 points - five behind Leeds.
No extra time needed
Inter have taken the lead at Bayern , so the is level at 1-1 on aggregate.
Butch Wilkins is enjoying this!
Inter Milan goal: Less than five minutes in in Munich and Inter level the tie on aggregate, Goran Pandev slipping a fine pass through to Samuel Eto'o - potentially offside - for the Cameroonian to dash through and slide home. We're all square.
Hayes have taken a surprise lead at Crawley in their derby match.
Oh - Gignac blows a huge chance there.
STRUTH!@!
That was close!!
Was your sound off?
KEEP IT TIGHT
That was a great chance for Gignac who shot over after being put through. United need to be careful.
Roon does seem to be moving at a better pace so far
My sound isn't out of sync.
Brilliant corner by United!!!
United old boy, Heinze heads out for a corner. The short corner was a flop.
I think it is slightly... concentrate
Evra obstructs Remi on what was a decent run.
Roon tries a Scholsey pass but we get a corner... not a short one!
Liverpool old boy, Cheyrou gifts us a corner with a wayward header.
Cheyrou gives away a cheap corner.
I agree with Butch - fair shoulder barge by my boy Nani.
I thought that was a fair shoulder charge by Nani.
Again, I have been impressed by Smalling
Gignac was getting chippy on Smalling.
I think that should have been a yellow there
Are we in any card trouble?
I think Smalling should be in the England squad for the upcoming Euro qualifiers.
Still no goals at Turf Moor - that suits me.
The Liverpool old boy helped us out again with a terrible pass.
Well stated Butch. He is an awesome announcer.
He is correct. This is not Rennes.
Butch is a class act. He's no Robbie Mustoe for sure.
I am surprised that Valbuena is not starting for Marseille. He had an excellent game against England.
Giggs wins a corner off of Diawara.
Football League Macca: "There's been a bit of a delay in the Ipswich-Watford game as referee Grant Hegley's evening over as he's pulled something (a muscle I'm guessing). The Hertfordshire official is replaced by the fourth official and we are back under way."
Histon have taken the lead at Kettering. They desperately need a win.
Chicha into the book there. First of the evening.
Hernandez in the book... a little unlucky
That was a bogus yellow. I agree with Butch that Chicaharito made minor contact with Heinze.
Smalling and Brown get each other's way.. United survive
Heinze has a nibble on Chicha - retaliation?
Why isn't Gabby in the book?
Is this ref biased. If Chicharito was booked then Heinze should have been booked. Some consistency please.
Histon's lead is short lived as Kettering tie it up.
Bayern have tied it up and taken the lead on agg
Bugger! Burnley have taken the lead against Coventry.
Decent header from Hernanadez
BUGGER... we blew it...SHOOT
Oh - United should have taken more advantage of the mistake there. Nani played Roon in but Roon again didn't have the killer instinct. I still think he's off the pace.
My sound seems to be okay now
United looking dangerous as Roon crossed to Chicharito , then Mandanda nearly gifted us a goal with a poor kick.
I think Nani should have found Hernandez
N.G. Burnley now up to 59 points - two behind us and with another match in hand. Getting far too tight for comfort.
Stop worrying.. you're making the top two!
Shame Norwich beat Barnsley last night
I have a feeling that Burnley will be in the mix until the end of the season.
We're six points back - I don't see that at all. Top six is the goal.
I thought survival was the goal?
Come on United... don't have a lull
Not one single goal has been scored in five League One matches. What an oddity.
Bill Oddity?
boom boom
That was the initial goal. Once we reached 50 points, the next goal was top six.
Leyton Orient have taken the lead at Hartlepool and Posh have taken the lead at Wednesday. I was a tad impatient.
Boom boom Basil, UWS.
Come on Scholes!!!
Nice one, UWS!
Nani should take him on and get to the byline
It was a Goodie!!!
Foul called on Smalling!
One goal and we're out
Very dangerous... lovely!!!
That ball had to be put in the danger area
Bayern have taken the lead
Lucho wastes the free kick to the delight of the United fans.
33 minutes in and Scholesy has been a good boy.
Inter now have to score 2 more
It sounds like the defending champions are pretty much out of this competition.
Preston have taken the lead at Scunny. I am not sure if anyone gives a toss about that match.
O'Shea makes a great run.. but doesn't find anyone!
He's does his hammy?
Nice run by O'Shea, but the poor pass was due to a pulled hammy . A shame.
BLOODY HELL
THAT WAS TOO CLOSE!
Nice cross by Taiwo and Remi heads wide of an open goal. Another reprieve for United.
I'm not liking what I am seeing at the moment
O'Shea is off being replaced by Rafa... keep your head lad... keep your head
O' Shea is replaced by Raffa. Speed is on in place of height.
Roon is going to be the next Scholes!
Scholes played up top when he first played for United
0-2 PNE now. Scunny are worse than hopeless.
Do the officials by the goal call anything? Are they just there for goals? That guy there didn't call anything for that goalkick
Preston is 0-2 up at scunny and Posh is 0-2 up at Wednesday. Fergie Jr. up ahead of Megson.
Struth! Carlisle have taken the lead against Plymouth.
Nice hit...and not completely confident there by VDS
weak effort from Rooney... look for Hernandez
Bugger! Giggs did well to put Roon through and he wastes an opportunity by shooting straight at the keeper.
I'll repeat... not happy with what I am seeing.
The French should have had at least two goals
United want a pen..nothing given
That should have been a penalty! what is wrong with this ref . He is incompetent. Nice break from Cheyrou's corner.
He's Spanish.. he has a brother named Manuel
STRUTH.. JUST OVER
I don't think it was a penalty
Just over by Remi as he volleys from a poor Smalling clearance.
Did they just say that the 'other' official made that call?
Great tackle by Diawara as United win a corner.
Smalling heads over
Smalling heads over from a Giggs corner.
Corner to Marseille late in the half... hold on United... well collected by VDS
Some updates. PNE 0-3 up at Scunny, Posh 0-3 up at Wednesday.Histon is 1-3 up at Kettering, and Crawley have come from behind as they lead 2-1 against Hayes.
One minute of stoppage time.
I have a feeling that we will get Bayern in the quarters. Just a hunch.
united lead 1-0 at halftime.
Bad call from the ref on a foul but United survive..
Half way there but too close for comfort!
Half time, then. You lot have to be happy with proceedings. 1-0 to the good.
Not really happy...no!
We're off for the second half.. United attacking the Stretford End.... come on... put this game out of sight!
The second half is underway.
COME ON UNITED!
I told you the sound was off!!!
Finally they're back
Foul by Evra on Remi then VDS does well to gather ahead of Gignac.
I always think of the match against Jose's Porto... United were going through but Porto had a late free kick, Timmy Howard parried it in front of goal and they scored in the last minute... Jose sprinting down the sidelines!
Hayes have tied it up at Crawley. It is now 2-2.
Did you hear the crowd cheer before the tackle came in
Great tackle by Clockwork Orange on Remi.
Not happy with Unted's start to the second half
Sound definitely off. that whistle happened before I saw it
GET THE CROSS OVER.. NANI!
Rafa should have done better there
That was a fair tackle by Diawara on Evra. United trying to bee to fancy.
Hernandez should have done better after being out through by Roon.
I guess Chicharito was just offside then Mandanda does well to gather under pressure from Giggs.
I don't care what Bob says... my sound is off
SHOOT WAYNE!!
AGAIN.. GET THE SOUND SORTED OUT
Brilliant skill by Roon , but Heinze did well to block his effort.
HOPELESS BY NANI... BUGGER OFF TO ELLAND ROAD
Now I am having problems with the sound.
The French have had more attempts... That is NOT the Untied way
That could have been a dangerous cross
The sound looks to have gotten better
Poor acting from Lucho after a great tackle by Clockwork Orange
Valencia is on for Nani... GOOD
There is talk of Nani going off to Italy... I'll pack for him
Valencia is on for Nani. They are very similar players. Great to see Valencia back from a long term injury.
Again.. the sound is happening before the picture... it is very disconcerting!
BOB..WRITE A LETTER
I am very nervous here...we need another goal
Marseille have a corner and are delighted to see a poor header from Heinze. That was a poor clear clearance by Clockwork Orange.
Rooney of old would have darted into that space and scored!!!
Grimsby vs Rushden has been abandoned. I am not sure why that is the case.
Fabio is coming on for his twin brother due to United's second hammy problem of the match.
Rafa is now hurt!
He is going to have to go off!
A sub being replace by a sub... his brother
United won't be able to make any more changes
He's still on though
Crawley now lead 3-2 against Hayes.
He's going to go off
This game has gone seriously off the boil. I'm snoozing....
Wednesday have pulled it back to 1-3 vs Posh.
Where have you been
Inter tie it up... still need another
