A Ridiculous Night of Footie!
It's on like Donkey Kong tonight, lads, as we can barely stuff all the footie action in. It all starts with an intriguing friendly that UWS and I should really have been at live at Foxboro featuring the new ManYoo v. the Mighty Revs of the MLS. And then an hour later, I'll be multi-tasking as Brazil take on Ecuador in a must-win Copa America match-up. Join me for all the action.

Here we go then. Coverage of the match on ESPN2 has started.
Bugger - I wish we were there!
Rob Stone and John Harkes in the stadium tonight for the chit-chat.
They're profiling Roon as if he's going to play tonight. Interesting.
The Revs described by former-Rev as "a sinking ship." Ouch!
Here's the United side for tonight:
Lindegaard, Fab, Vidic, Evans, Rafael, Young, Anderson, Carrick, Nani, Berba, Roon,
Ashley Young straight into the side!
And we're away at Foxboro tonight.
The Revs are a sad shadow of the side that Stevie Nichol built in the Noughties around Clint Dempsey and Taylor Twellman. About the only remnants left are Matty Reis and Shalrie Joseph.
It'll be interesting to see how former US international Benni Feilhaber fits into the Revs set-up.
Rooney looks a touch heavy to me, not that I should be commenting on that after just wolfing down a bowl of pasta.
The silly sods have been trying to track down a decent ball for the past fifteen minutes.
Oh - Nyassi got behind Fabio and was crunched. Free kick oppo now.
Good looking crowd in the Fort tonight.
Nani should be grabbing Scholesy's #18 shirt - he determined to play in the hole.
Oh - Shalrie was inches away from giving the Revs the lead!
Interestingly my boy Nani has lined up on the right tonight with Ashley Young on the left flank. United now have three right-footed wide men in the squad - so someone's going to have to play on the wrong side.
Nice stuff from Drac and Roon but broken up by Feilhaber.
Oh - nice stuff from Young but then he's facing Alston.
Berba with a header in the box there but well wide.
Phelan has had a couple of nice digs from range at this point. United defenders seem to be standing off him so why not?
Here's the line-ups for the Brazil v. Ecuador match coming right up:
Brazil - Julio Cesar, Maicon, Andre Santos, Thiago Silva, Lucio, Lucas, Paulo Henrique, Ramires, Robinho, Pato, Neymar.
Subs: Victor, Jefferson, Dani Alves, Luisao, David Luiz, Elano, Adriano, Elias, Lucas, Jadson, Fred.
Ecuador - Elizaga, Yano, Ayovi, Erazo, Araujo, Mendez, Noboa, Mina, Minda, Caicedo, Benitez.
Subs: Banquera, Carabali, Quinones, Checa, Achiller, Calderon, Castillo, Quiroz, Mina, Nazareno, Montano.
Ecuador about to get us started in Cordoba.
Reis is just barely keeping us in the match now with great saves from Roon, Berba and now Nani.
0-0 at half-time at Foxboro.
GOL! Pato nips in and heads home.
Brazil 1-0!
Goal! And it's wee Mikey off the bench who slots home for United.
1-0!
Goal! And it's 2-0. Tasty finish there from another super sub.
GOL! The goals are flying in now.
Caicedo equalizes thanks to a howler from Julio Cesar. It went straight through him.
GOAL! The goals continue to fly. Benni Feilhaber with a deflected free kick.
1-2!
GOAL! Machedo has a brace.
3-1
Oh - Machedo nearly had his hat-trick.
Gooner and I are both amazed to see old man Giggsy lining up to come on. Didn't he retire with Scholesy?
Butterworth denies Macheda his hat-trick again.
UWS won't be happy to see Obertan coming on either.
What's happened to Tom Cleverly then? Surely they're not to flog him to Wigan, are they?
More subs for ManYoo - Park and Diouf for Anderson and Carrick.
The second half starting up and Elano has come on for Brazil.
This one's still on a knife's edge at 1-1. I suppose a draw would work for them but a loss and they're out.
Bloody hell - Park has scored a fourth for United. This is starting to get a bit embarrassing.
GOAL! Neymar finally comes good with a nice finish from Ganso's ball in.
2-1!
So - as it stands, Brazil would meet Chile in the Quarters.
GOL! And just as I type that Caicedo has done Brazil in again! What a rocket!
2-2!
And again Julio Cesar seemed slow to get down to that one. It's as if Caicedo has given him a pay off before the match.
Ecuador can now dream again of knocking Brazil out and going through in their place to the Quarters.
Half an hour to go here.
GOL! Pato restores the lead! Neymar hit a rocket of a shot, it was bobbled and Pato ran it in.
3-2 Brazil!
So there were six goals in the earlier match and there have been five in this one. They're finally get some use out of the goals in this tournament!
Maicon unleashes a piledriver and the keeper did well to keep it out.
Oh - Pato should have had his hat-trick there. Scooped his shot over.
GOAL! Neymar again and Brazil's fourth. That should just about do it, then.
4-2! And Brazil top the group.
Nice ball in from Maicon and Neymar merely had to guide it home.
Handball on Maicon there. Nice free kick opportunity for Ecuador now.
Fred coming on for the last five minutes to replace two-goal hero Pato.
