We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

RVP Bags the Big Prize!

North London will be celebrating tonight as Gooner's favorite Islamic Dutchman Robin van Persie bagged the big prize at the PFA Awards Dinner, while Tottenham's right back Kyle Walker got the nod as Young Player of the Year. Your thoughts, gents?

Allah Akbar! Can't quite see Kyle Walker over Sergio Aguero in the same category. I'd have thought Aguero ran RVP a close second on most peoples ballots.

I couldn't see anyone else winning the PFA Player of the Year Award, but was surprised to see Kyle Walker voted Young Player of the Year. I would have voted for Aguero as he head and shoulders above Walker, who was inconsistent.
