We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

2013 Inductees to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The 2013 Rock and Roll Hame of Fame inductees were announced this week and there was plenty to chew over. Among them were bands that were important to our adolescence. Happily, I've got tracks by all of the following artists in my iPod. Here's the full list of inductees:

* Lou Adler (songwriter - lifetime achievement)
* Quincy Jones (producer - lifetime achievement)
* Heart
* Albert King
* Randy Newman
* Public Enemy
* Rush
* Donna Summer

As we're mulling over the best music of 2012 this week, I'll look forward to your comments.

The two lifetime achievement awards I have no problem with. Heart and Donna Summer? Questionable.

Rush and PE are what I may tune in and watch this year.
