MOTD’s Guy Mowbray at Old Trafford:
Manchester United v West Brom (15:00 GMT)
"United's seven-point lead at the top halfway through the season is remarkable when you consider how many goals they've conceded. But while Sir Alex Ferguson's side have managed only four clean sheets in 27 games in all competitions this season, the down side for West Brom is that the hosts have scored 48 goals in 19 league games. West Brom have not won at Old Trafford since 1978. That famous 5-3 victory did happen on this very weekend 34 years ago, mind you."
Hull have just scored!
Hull have a 100% record when scoring first this season!
Not good for Leeds
BUGGER !!!! HULL CITY TAKE THE LEAD AS THE LINK WAS LOADING . IT WAS JONNY EVANS'S BRUV. BOB WILL NOT BE PLASED. io HOPE i AM NOT A JINX.
Oh dear... TWO NIL!!!
Terrible marking from a corner... Man United like defending!!
Padyy kenny terns a shot into the soe netting as that could have been a second.BLOODY HELL !!! 2-0AS THGATR WAS A HEADER OFF A CORNER AND WHERE WAS THE MARKING? TWO GOALS IN TWO MINUTES.MEYLER WITH THE GOAL
Becchio and Thomas were both left on the bench!!!
I wonder if I should have kept my mouth shut abut the match
It's all your fault!!
The second half is underway from the SOL.
Second half underway at the SoL
I should turn off the link... both goals have come really quickly!
What was Warnock thinking? Also , if you give a 6 ft 7 in. striker a free headder then chance re that he will score as happened with Hull's second goal
Donnini at Old Trafford on text via 81111: "Manchester United vs West Brom match will go ahead, pitch looks good even though defender Rio Ferdinand just slipped over and the coaches started laughing."
alos Cuellar booked for foul on LUFC Academy Boy
Cuellar heads out fior a Spurs corner.
GOAL... 1-1... was in a OG ?
Yes.. Cuelar... great finish
GOAL !!! 1-1 AS CUELLARHEADS INT IS OWN NWT OFF HE CORNER. HE CONCEDED THE ORIGINAL FREE KICK ON LUFC ACADEMY BOY. SPURS HVE SCORED IN EVERY AWAY MATCH THIS SEASON.
Not a good couple of minutes for Cuellar... in the book... on the scoresheet!!
PHEW!!! Paddy Kenny saves well from Stephen , but Robert Kopren blasts the rebound into ROW Z. One ex Blade saving from another
GOAL... 2-1 SPURS... Lennon!
GOAL !!! 1-2 SPURS AS LUF ACADEMY BOY SCORES . HE GOT A LUCKY BOUNCE OFF OF MUFC ACADEMY BOY AND SCORED WITH A GREAT FINISH
Spurs are the only Premier League team to score in every away game this season
SS haven't updated the Spurs match.. hope I'm live
Four goals in ten minutes!
All anti-Dahlgren goals!!!
Steven DFletcher is down, holding ghis hammy. That would be huge loss for the Black Cats
Fletcher has hurt his knee.. Sunderland can't afford to lose him
I noticed that, but he wll be pleased that LUFC Academy Boy Scopred. Not pleased that MUFC Academy Boy was made to look a fool on that last goal.
Looks like Fletch is okay to continue
RUdy Austin is David Norris. Why the loody hell is Beck continuing to sit on the bench?Bob wil notbe pleased as Sam Byrum is booked.
Free kick into the wall and Leeds clear
Newcastle are the first team to play United twice this season.. that was game number 19... who haven't we played yet? Wigan?
We have them on NYD
No.. we beat Wigan 4-0 at OT
Hiya, boys - after lots of yelling at Time Warner, I'm back up and running. Not at all happy with the news out of Hull, but I suppose I'm to blame for that.
Thanks for all of the texts, UWS - appreciate it.
Nice save by Mignolert from UWS's favorite player
Great save by Sunderland Keeper
Rangers drawing 0-0 at Hampden Park against Queens Park
QP down to 10 men
Oh - Defoe should have hit that first time! Should be 1-3 Spurs.
duh... it's West Brom!!
We finish the season at the Hawthorns... hope it doesn't matter!!
Good mornming, BD. soory about the Leeds score. Glad your cable is up.Surprised that Becks has been benched today. How have you been?
Welcome Bob... sorry it isn't a better scoreline
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/160720/1/watch-hull-city-vs-leeds-united.html
Fifteen minutes left at Hull - what's Warnock playing at?
I agree , UIWS. I saw highlights of the 3-5 mach and remeber Cyrille Regis running United ragged. Our defending was poor that day too.
Not sure, BD. I would think that he would start his to scorer against one of the best sides in the divsion.
Cheers for the link, mate!
Not sure it is very good viewing!
Statisticians Infostrada Sports on Twitter: "Spurs have now scored in all of their 10 PL away matches in 12/13, their longest away scoring streak from top flight season start since 1960."
Bloody useless Leeds short corner. Brucie's lads were wise to that one.
Not good viewing at all. We look rubbish.
Useless attempts of crossing by Leeds too
O'Shea had to go off injured
Great stat, UWS. Good morning, BD.
Better from Leeds but offside.... can they get anything from the last 10 minutes
Michael Dawson booked as the useless Ttius Baramble came on. He's always good for a key error
Is Becchio on yet?
Lloris punches away the free kic from Seb Larsson.
Well, I assume that Warnock is resting Becchio because of all of the match congestion around the holidays, but still...stick him on now! He's scored 18 goals! Somma and Ross are both coming back from injury.
WHY?????
BREAKING TEAM NEWS
Robin van Persie starts on the bench for Manchester United. Shinji Kagawa starts in midfield
No he's still on the bench. I don't get it!
Wolves still doing most of the attacking and we're giving the ball away really cheaply.
decent save by Kenny as that was yet another free headerr for a Hull player
another useless attempt of a cross...are you trying to look like Man United?
I know it looks like Wolves but it's Hull!!
Sorry, BD. It's stev Bruc's Hull City. My words exactly, UWS. Blody Hell , Fergie! How dare he bench my GBB
Michael Owen on the bench for Stoke today against Southampton
Norwich v Manchester City (15:00 GMT)
Manchester City make four changes from the defeat by Sunderland. Left-back Gael Clichy, midfielder Gareth Barry, winger Samir Nasri and striker Edin Dzeko replace Kolo Toure, James Milner, Javi Garcia and Carlos Tevez.
Norwich are without striker Grant Holt so Steve Morison comes into the side in the only change from the loss to Chelsea.
Apparently, Hernandez isn't starting either.. is it Welbeck up front with Kagawa just behind him?
Not really liking it!
I hope Norwich make it tough for City like Sunderland did. I heard wee Mickey was coming back from his umpteenth injury
Demps still not getting a game??
BLOODY HELL! what is up with these weird lieups? The Baggies are a good side.
Clint on for Dafoe.
I don't get that either; Adebayor is keeping him out of the side even though he's not scoring. Perhaps with Bale moving on next month, he'll fit into his slot.
Owen playing in his favorite position.. just behind the front two... the kit man and the physio
Titus, the ITFC Academy Boy concedes a corner. The corner is headed on to Dawson, who eads straight to Mignolet Four minutes of stoppage time at the KC.
I suppose it's all about squad rotation this time of the year with the fixtures coming thick and fast.
Into added time at the KC Stadium... not good viewing at all
I did not hear about Bale, BD. Where is he going? I heard only rumors.
Not good viewing at all. I give it two thumbs down.
The Hull keeper easily cathes a header from Varney
They were saying earlier in this broadcast that Real madrid have put in a $53 million offer. Hard to turn down.
Monkeyboy Bale has a reputation for diving and he's going to get booked for it again.
Bale dives... he didn't have to go down!!
A complete dive... a yellow deserved... he now misses the next match for five yellows
Agreed, BD. Bale has talked himself into the book. An odd one from Martin as Seb Larsson has been subbed. I did not see who came on.
JUST SHOOT!
There was contact there but did he really need to go down? Don't think so.
Thanks, BD. He will fit in well in La Liga with all that diving.
Brucie doing a great job at Hull and they have won 2-0.. . sorry mate
Hull sitting pretty in second
This will be two losses in a row during the holiday period then. Not a merry Christmas for us at all. Hoping for better in the New Year. Some grim faces among the Leeds faithful at the KC.
Steve Bruce's boys win 2-0. Two goals in two minutes. Sorry Bob. Will they be in the EPL next season?
He would stay up anywhere else on the field... he could have had a shot with his left... I just don't get it
At least we were beaten by a decent side today.
AVB should yell at Bale.. he blew a scoring chance and now is out for the next match!
Robin van Persie is on the bench as Danny Welbeck starts for Manchester United at Old Trafford. Shinji Kagawa is also handed his first start since October after recovering from a knee injury while the side also includes Nemanja Vidic, Tom Cleverley and Ashley Young.
I hope this joke cheers you up. Harry Redknapp was talking to his agent ad asked him what's up. How did his agent reply?
Everyone?
Every team?
Not liking the United lineup as ten man Queens Park is still holding Rangers 0-0 at Hampden Park
Wonder what the crowd is at Hampden Park for the Glasgow derby
I was going to say the league table . Your team is propping up the table, but I like your response too.
Boom boom, UWS!
Not sure. Queens Park normally have a few hundred for home matches.Should be their best crows in yeras and perhaps better than any of Celtic's attendace figures thi season.
It's only 12, right? 8-0 Chelski and 4-0 Spurs, right?
DId I get it right?
1431:
BBC Sport's Stephan Shemilt at the Britannia Stadium:
"Southampton are out warming up on what can only be described as yoga mats. Each player has one, perhaps to protect himself from the wet ground as they stretch, bend and reach. Luckily for Saints, the Britannia currently has very few Stoke fans inside. I can't imagine that yoga mats would go down too well in these parts."
The conceded a last minute goal at Anfield in the match before in the 3-1 win
Fulham vs Swansea . Schwarzer is injured and replaced by Leeds born , David Stockdale. Worm is rested and Tremmel will deputize.
We're left in 9th, still only two points out of the playoffs but that will surely change during the day.
I guess. the Siants need to take their minds of that horrible away form. I blame UWS for the Villa rot. Villa outsocred 12-0 while he was running errannds. He's killing them and is sure to get them relegated unless Villa come to their senses and sack lambert!
Surprise surprise..it's snowing again!
latest prediction.. 3-5 inches on top of the Foot we got midweek
Snowing like crazy here in WNY.
LLoris is fouled as he punches awa a corner. They beatCiteh, but I guess not Spurs.
I am sure you will look forward to a break from that later this week. Rooms ready at the Inn and cleaned.Still waiting for the requests as Elizabeth is shopping tomorrow. Free WiFI at the Inn
Have you got a decent SS link - I have nowt.
Spurs are now up to 3rd at least for 24 hours about Chelsea who visit Goodison in tasty one tomorrow
Rangers score against 10-man Queens Park in the 91st minute in front of 30,000 Rangers fans
Game over
Thanks for all your work, mate. I'm letting Gooner get in his requests, if he needs any. I'm not fussy - what you've done already sounds magic. Just wish UWS was joining us.
Game over at SoL.. Spurs keep it going
I am off to get ready for the day. I'll be back in a bit
Rangers take a stoppage time lead at Hampden Park as 17 year old Aird scores and it finishes 1-0 as the young Canuck scored the key goala. 30 k Rangers fansin attendance and PSurs win 1-2 aty the SOL
That win leaves Spurs temporarily in third. Chelski play tomorrow morning.
Agreed about UWS. Highs are supposed to be in 60s and lows in the 40s Thursday and Friday. Perfect weather , BD? it is supposed to be rainy and damp on Wednesday.
Next up - come on, the Canaries!
Does Arsenal play in the late match? When QPR hosts Liverpool tomorrow, I hope both teams lose.
United vs the Baggies are on ESPN 2. I am watching both on the PIP and have an SS link running
Yeah - it's Arse v. Newcastle in the late one.
It's North London vs the Geordies.According to SAF, Goner's team hosting a Wee little club for the Northeast
Henning Berg sacked after 57 days in charge! Steve Keane was given ages to be a flop. I don't get it.The crew don't have an answer as to whom will replace him
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/160718/1/watch-gillette-soccer-saturday.html
I did love the spat between Fergie and Newcastle. But, you have to admit that Fergie was out of order against Mike Dean and anyone else but him would have got a ban.
Sparky being a naughty begger while Elizabeth is eating a blueberry muffin.
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
No negative comments from today
Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out making any major signings during the January transfer window after claiming his current group of players are as good as any he has worked with during 26 years at Old Trafford. "Don't hold your breath waiting for Manchestr United to jump through the transfer window when it opens next week," Ferguson writes in the match programme. "It's been open season to link us with a stack of players, admittedly some very good ones, but it just isn't going to happen. You can never say never in football because you don't know who might become available, but speaking generally, I am not looking to do any serious business in January.I don't have to because I am more than satisfied with the players I have in my squad, a group as good as I have had in my time at Old Trafford."
Don't know what SAF is looking at
I agree 100%, BD. I was not pleased with Fergie. It does show that he is focused this season. I have the same link running, UWS.
Away we go... U-N-I- T-E-D United are the team for me
United attacking the Stretford End in first half again
I wasn't expectin any United signings in January. They're off from OT and Carrow Road.
GOAL! That didn't take long - Dzeko!
0-1!
Nice cross by Evra at the second attempt
Any comments about Henning Berg being sacked. Hardly seems fair as Steve Keane was given ages ad flopped!
Bugger
The commentators were wondering why no Tevez. They've got egg on their face now. Great ball over by Aguero, knock down for Silva and Dzeko finsihed easily.
Stupidity by Blackburn
BUGGER!!! JERKO VOLLRED CITEH INTO AN EARLY LEAD GREAT RUN DOWN THE RIGHT BY AGUERO AND JERKO WAS UNMARKED.
Not surprised by that but the switch at Forest did take me by surprise. Alex McLeish is the new boss there. Wonder who will come in at Blackburn.
Another goal in the Prem... at Villa Park.. has the rot stopped.... still not sure... come on.. tell us SS... NO... 1-0 Wigan...14 and counting
NOT GOOD FOR THE GD
Dzeko again! 0-2! What on earth are the Norwich back four playing at?
Another goal somewhere... at Carrow Road... two nil Citeh!!!
Ramis gives Wigan the lead at Villa Park in a key relegation siox poinrter. Can't blame UWS';s errands for that.
How long can Paul Lambert last?
Norwich complaining about that two-footed lunge by Kompany that set up the chance.
Reading take the lead against the Hammers
Goals all over the place!
Reading take the lead vs West Ham ad Citeh lead 0-2 at Carrow Road.Pav Pogs takes advantage of a howler by Rob Green.
Citeh now level on GD with United. But still five points behind.
I'm here... not my fault
A vital goal for Reading but disaster for the Hammers.
Bristol City have taken the lead against Peterboro
Okay - Aguero needs to start scoring. Have I mentioned that before?
Just saw the Citeh goal. Seemed a foul by Kompany in midfield and he put Aguero through, who runned Sticky Bunn and then passed for Jerko to shoot into an empty goal for a bace.
The classic match is on today
Forfar play East Fife
East Fife take the lead
"lackluster start"... Le Tis said it.. not me
You lot will no doubt be happy about Michu's injury. Will make it easier for RVP to run up his goalscoring tally - if Fergie deigns to pick him!
Shame it isn't at East Fife
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Young with a cross... put in the net by a defender!
You expect Le Tiss to be negative about United - he's a Saint!
Paul Lambert to take over at Blackburn???
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
UNITED TAKE THE LEAD. YOUNG HITS A CROSS AND GARETH MACAULEY GIFTS US THE LEAD WITH AN OG.
Back on top with the GD - and restored United's seven point advantage.
Also good for the Gunners.
Hartlepool take a lead at Bramall Lane
Top v Bottom
Sotton take the lead at Stoke!
Goals everywhere but Fulham... inside 10 minutes!
Citeh slicing through Norwich at this point.
Sotton take a surprise lead t the Brittania. Evil Cardiff take the lead vs Evil Millwall. I hope both teams lose that one!
Cardiff take the lead
Palace take the lead at the City Ground... a surprise choice of manager Alex McCleish with a bad start
Palace take the lead at Forest. McLeeish a horrible choice as Forest manager.
How do you get the sack when you wallop Leeds 4-2!!
Hibs take the lead against Celtic
Leeds's next two opponents in action as Brum take the lead at Bolton. Leeds host Bolton on New Year's Day while they host Brum during the reunion.
ean O'Driscioll was in charge of Forest on Boxing Day then saked immediately after the match ended!
With the two leads by Wigan and Sotton... Villa in the drop zone again
I do not understand that - it was obviously in the works but strange after a good victory.
GOAL! Pilkington rifles a free kick through the Citeh wall.
1-2!
YES... Norwich score!!
Deflection from a free kick
Kompany concedes a free kick justy outside the box.
TESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
pilkington the FORMER UNITED TRAINEE SCORES A FREE KICK AGAINST CITEH AND IT'S NOW 1-2
everyone still says it 13 in a row... they did concede against Liverpool in the 3-1 win... did they play the league cup game in between or am i just smarter than everyone?
Stoke tie it up
Stoke tie it up vsSotton whileMboro take the lead vsd Bpool. Mboro have scored in every home match
Probably a decent tackle by Kompany there but that's neither here nor there now.
Come on United... get another
It gets worse for Young Fergie as their top scorer was sent off for violent conduct
Big Shout from Aguero for a penalty. Caught by Bassong in the box. Lots of action in this one.
Pompey losing at home to Yeovil
