Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Subs: Martinez, Vermaelen, Santos, Coquelin, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski.
Referee Howard Webb (S Yorkshire)
Early corner for the Gunners - cleared out.
Webbie is in charge. Gooner has a good feeling as a free kick s headed out for a Gunners corner that is cleared
Taindalle crosses straight to Seudio
I've got a good feeling as well. Come on, the Gunners!
Good to hear Martin Tyler on the commentary this morning.
Good to hear Martin Tyler on the commentary this morning.
Good move from the Swans but cleared out well by Sagna.
Very strong line-up this morning from Le Boss - I sense the need for revenge from the Arsenal camp.
I am here too
I was up for kick off. I checked but there was no post
The Fa Cup can be costly as Wolves manager Stale Solbakken was sacked after the shock defeat at Lutin Airport. Wolves ae looking at Donny boss , Dean Saunders, as a replacement.
Free kick now for the Arse...floated by Wilshere into the goalkeeper's arms.
It's funny how red doesn't clash with white in North London but does in South Wales!
Morning, UWS!
Good morning UWS. I woke up the Dahlgrens by singing There's Only One Swansea Citeh!
Well done MUR
Great save by Seudio from Danny Graham
Oh - Danny Graham was in behind the Arsenal backfour but his stinging drive was well saved by Sussudio.
Ta, UWS. I think the rules for jerseys are differenty in Wales than in England.
Theo wins a free kick off of Chico Flores.
Now Theo can curl a free kick in from wide left.
Poor free kick straight to Worm
Well wide by De Guzman
This cup tie has gone into a lull.
Mert looks a wee bit rusty today coming back into the side.
Sagana tackles for a corner off a through ball from Routledge after Merty conceded possession
Sagna clears the corner.
We met up with JDLC last night, UWS and he wanted us to say "hi" to you and the family. Great night out!
Chico Flores blocked a shot from Theo after a great move.
Thanks
It was great that you saw him
Glad you had a great night
I second that. It was a great night out with JDLC . He sadi hi and wanted to see how you were
Chico Flores fouls Theo just outside the box.
Cazorla territory now as Theo is upended by Chico.
No - it's Theo and he thumped it into the wall....
A horrible free kick from Theo. Really poor.
Hope you said I was well
Some concentrated possession now for the Gunners - I like how this match is shaping up.
We did. We said you were doing great , that you have a great family , and that you are a great teacher. Your thoughts?
I did indeed.
Thanks for all that
What is he up to?
Pictures?
Not much happening in South Wales right now or for the last 28 minutes
We took pictures and will post on Bookface.
Correct, UWS. A rather drab cup tie.
Oh - nearly in there through Ramsey. Just broke down at the crucial moment.
I seem to be enjoying it more than you lot- a tight tactical match-up of similar sides.
JDLC and I discussed that we will keep in touch more often since we live only 35 miles apart.
I believe that one goal may settle this cup tie. A tactical match is more appropriate for the CL than the FA Cup Tie.
Oh - Cazorla had a chance there from the cut-back by Gibbs. Dear oh dear on the shot.
A soft booking for Ramsey as he is called for a foul on Tiandalle.
Ramsey picks up a yellow from Webby as Tiendalli got through.
Oh - Bartley with a header off the bar from the free kick.
KYle Bartley in only his second appearance for the Swans headed opff the bar from the free kick. That would ae been a magical moment as he only played once for te Gunners before being released.
On this performance I'm surprised that Swansea have been able to maintain such a high position in the league.
Great to see both sides are putting out a full strength lineup for the Cup. Great to see.
Coming to the end of the first half now. Very cagey position for this match. Swansea seem content sitting back and trying to hit Arsenal on the break.
Naughty foul by Ki on Young Jack
Usless cross from Aaron Ramsey a he is booed due to being a former Cardiff player
Weak shot from Carzola easily saved by Worm
Sorry, missed a bit of the match... did I miss much?
Halftime and 0-0at the Liberty. Ther was not any stoppage time played
No stoppage time there. We're into the interval in record time. 0-0 at the half.
There was a header from a Swansea free kick that came off the bar. Otherwise, not much.
Did you see Donny's manager Dean Saunders looks like he is going to Molineux?
off for walkies in the snow
be back later
Have a good chilly walkies.
I don't rate Dean Saunders as a Championship manager.
He got Donny relegated last year, but is doing well this year. I think Wolves should do more research. I am sure Shadow will enjoy walkies in the snow. Cheers mate
We're back on for the second half now. Come on, the Gunners!
I hope the second half is more open
Poor cross by Gibbs , straight to Worm
Better from Arsenal as they had a great break. Theo fed Gitroud and his powerful effort was straight at Worm and pushed away
Ramsey went down in th box under a challenge from Tiandalle and webbie waves oplay on, then Bartley the former Gunners trainee blocks a shot for an Arsenal corner
Arsenal keep possession from the corner
Greart save by worm from a volley by Giroud and now he's done , holding his hammy. It stemmed from that long possession.
Michu is about to come on as a sub
Michu on for Pablo Hernandez and Nathan Dyer is on for Wayne Routledge
Good period of Arsenal pressure at the start of this half. Giroud is off for treatment but may be able to continue.
Oh dear - Michu has just come on and he's scored!
1-0!
GOAL !!!! 1-0 SWANSEA AND AGAINST THE RUN OF PLAY. MICHU SCORES ABOUT MINUTE AFTER COMING ON . POOR ARSENAL DEFENDING
Come on, the Gunners - get it back!
He scored a brace at the Em a few months ago,. It was route one , but the central defenders were ball watching and Seudio should have done better
That's a long walkies up in Glenville.
Tiandalle wa flagged offside.
Young Jack is called for a ful on Ki and nearly talked himself into the book. Now Sagna is called for a foul on Ben Davies just outside the box.
The Swans have an interesting free kick chance now out wide left.
It sure is. UWS will need to thaw out
Oh - great tackle by Tiendalli as Gibbs came romping through.
Great tackle by Tiandalle on Gibbs. The corner is headed awa and the Gunners keep possession. Now out for a goal kick
Oh - Wilshere with a lovely ball through there but Ramsey didn't attack it.
Oh - Ramsey did so well there but Giroud couldn't convert the header. Shame.
Giroud heads widde with a free header off a great cross from Ramsey. Gooner was not impressed.
Arsenal trying to pass it into the goal now, training pitch style.
idway through the second half and Swansea holding on to a 1-0 lead.
That's typical Arsenal, BD.
Leon Britton off now and Agustien on for the Swans - they're all in.
Swansea with their last change as Augstien is on for Leon Britton. Like for like.
Swansea have made all their changes nd Arsenal have yet yo make a cange. What are you waiting for Arsene?
I am back to hear Michu scored with is first touch?
Twenty minutes left for Arsenal to dig this one out. Ramsey off for Poldi.
Poldi on for Ramsey as we had called out in Tejas.
Welcome back, mate - yeah, a predatory strike against the run of play. Swansea have played like the away side today.
You are correct, UWS.
Merty and Kos were ball watching and outmuscled for the goal
Terrible touch by Giroud!!!
Walcott then slashes one wide... Steve must be going Potty
Oh - Theo was in there and fizzed one just past the post!
Poor touch by Grioud after a great run by Arteta , then Theo shoots wide with just Worm to beat off backpasses from Ben davies and Michu
Have Arsenal created a lot of chances. You say Swansea seem like the away side
Gooner definitely not pleased....
Both Steve and Bob were going potty
Yeah - Arsenal really came out of the traps well. Giroud missed a real sitter off a cross by Ramsey. Should be 1-2 or 1-3 to my mind.
Arsenal hve created more chances, but are not taking them. They left their shooting boots in North London
Well - if it wasn't so early, we'd be going potty. Still recovering from the late night out with JDLC.
Gibbs fails to get the cross over
Now Poldi misses a sitter, but he was flagged offside fter ping pong action in the box. Gooner not pleased.
Gooner would take a 1-1 at this point.
Agreed, BD. We woke up rather sleepy.
That is what he said!
Thanks for waking us up, mate. We'd be RVWs without the wake-up.
How late did you stay out?
I went out with couple of my friends last night. We were going to see the FDR movie(even though I don't like Bill Murray) but the theater had lines around the block for all the movies in the neighborhood theater
We ended up going out to eat and chat and then went somewhere else for dessert
Home after midnight though
Young Jack wins a free in the D off of former fellow trainee, Kyle Bartley
Now, now. Great free kick chance and the ex-Gunner Bartley is yellow carded.
Arteta to take....
Big free kick chance for Arsenal just outside the D
No probs, BD. We stayed up about as late as you, WS.
Swansea looking really nervy now, Agustien whiffing out for the corner.
Into the wall... disappointing
Swansea are struggling kicking the ball
GOAL... POLDOLSKI!!!!
GOAL! It was coming. Poldi finishes well on the turn.
Into the wall by Carzola, then Augustien whiffs . Corner and
GOAL!!! 1-1 AS POLDI SCORES WITH A FIRST TIME STRIKE AS SWANSEA FAILED TO CLEAR.
Swansea are playing like a Conference side ... Tyler says
"they're in the Premier League!!"
BOB AND STEVE GO POOTY, BUT N CALYPSO! RATGHER DISAPPOINTING
Martin Tyler is spot on.
GOAL... GIBBS WITH THE GOAL!!!!!
What a couple of minutes!!!
WOW!! 1-2 GUNNERS AS KIERAN GIBBS SCORES WITH A ROCKET
What a goal from Gibbs! 1-2 Arsenal!
Great finish!!!
Stopping running around and waking the neighbors Steve!!
Great one two with Giroud and a briliant finish by Gibbs.
A link for the Draw at 10:30
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/162037/1/watch-fa-cup-draw.html
Steve didn't even wake the RVWs in the house. Still no calypso.
Graham's shot is deflected out for a corner.
I think they are right
This could blow it for Swansea in the League Cup!!
They look clueless... even though they just get a chance
Desmond was not invited
Ta, UWS.We'll be aound for that. Dyer has a shot deflected for a corner after Seudio punched away a shot from Ki.
DESMOND HAS ARRIVED!!!
Danny Graham with a nice finish!!!
Why didn't Arteta attack the ball... he just stayed on the line!!
Maybe time for a defensive change - Coq au Vin?
Too late - Danny Graham with the equalizer!
2-2!
BUGGER!!!!
DANN Y GRAHAM MAKES IT DESMOND AFTER HE GUNNERS FAILED TO CLEAR A CORNER FROM AUGUSTIEN. KI ITH THE ASSIST
Has the blue language stopped??
Steve says to shut it about the desmond remark.Theo has a gaol called back for a foul.
Walcott knew the whistle went... put it in ... I would have booked him... but I don't like him!
I should come back from walkies more often
It has been rathercivil, but the Dahgrens are none too pleased. Steveis furious
Great save by Vorm!!!!
5 added minutes to come
Will this be replay #11?
Nearly a late winner for the Gunners as Worm made an incredible save from a headr by Kos off a cornmer from Theo , then Kos vollyed well over. Five minutes of stoppage time
End to end stuff now....
What a chance for the Swans!!!
Slipped!!
PHEW! Poor Arsenal defending as danny Graham put Augustien thorugh and he sliced into the side netting
Poor cross by Carzola , straight to Worm
Poor pass from Young Jack on the break
One minute remaining!
A late Guunners free kick
Last chance saloon for the Arse... weak cross
Worm dives tio catch the free kick from Theo. It finishes Desmond at the Liberty. Replay numero 11
That's it - I'm reasonably satisfied. All of our sides are in the 4th Round draw.
Can I call dibs on Aldershot?
See you at the EM..... it's all over
Desmond wins the day
Now for the Draw... including 10 ? or ? vs ?/ ?
I'll take MANSFIELD!!!
