Today in Confederation Cup Action
Welcome to another day of Confederation Cup action. It all starts at 3pm EST with hosts Brazil against a Mexican side in disarray. That's followed an hour later with Italy v. Japan. I should be around for the first half of the first one before I head off for a charity run in Buffalo tonight. Join me if you're around and about.

News out of Blighty today that West Ham have signed Andy Carroll to a five year deal. Good news for the Hammers, Johnno?
15,000 people on the streets of Fortaleza today. The police and troops have been brutal this week. Bad form on the part of the Brazilian authorities.
Teams coming out on the pitch in Fortaleza.
Team news out of Fortaleza today:
Brazil - Julio Cesar, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Gustavo, Paulinho, Oscar, Hulk, Fred, Neymar.
Mexico - Corona, Mier, Rodriguez, Moreno, Nilo, Flores, Salcido, Torrado, Guardado, Gio Dos Santos, Chicha
It's old Webby refereeing affairs today.
And we're underway at Fortaleza.
Brazil into the groove straight away. Some silky stuff in midfield - great to see.
Oh - great run by Neymar and cross over to Fred. Nearly there.
The Brazil players are already trying to pump up the crowd.
Free kick to Brazil now....
Training pitch routine ending with Marcelo drilling a shot right at Corona.
Oh - Oscar has the ball in the net but it's ruled offside. Brazil are absolutely all over Mexico right now.
Wow - Brazil are unbeaten in 53 consecutive home matches dating back to 1975!
GOAL! Neymar with a cracker of a volley. Wow!
Great ball over from Dani Alves, it was partially cleared but Neymar was onto the volley in a flash. Corona didn't have a chance.
Oh - Dani Alves nearly chipped Corona. Finger-tipped away.
Oh - Neymar has a shot punched away! It could be three or four nil already.
Mexico can't get it out of their own half. This is an amazing display by the hosts.
David Luiz with some characteristically eccentric defending allowing Mier to have a shot on goal.
Thiago Silva has a problem now, trotting off for some treatment.
Mexico have a rare free kick. They're slowing trying to get back into this one after being absolutely run over in the opening period.
Neymar is hacked down unceremoniously by the villainous Guardado. Yellow card.
Poor free kick routine by Alves and Hulk. Didn't beat the first man.
Neymar lines up another free kick. It's cleared out for a corner.
I'm off just as David Luiz has seemingly broken his nose. Over and out, lads!
Good afternoon, Bob. I just arrived home from summer school
Brazil lead Mexico 1-0 in the 73rd minute
Danny Alves cuts out a cross from Barrera for a corner after great work by Dos Santos. Poor corner is cleared by the first man
Danny Alves is booked for an elbow on Hector Moreno. Could have been an early bath
The free kick by Carlos Salcido is headed out by the Side Show for a Mexico corner. Meier heads well wide off the corner.
Lucas Mora is on for The Hulk.
Great cross by Barrera but Guardado heads across the box to absolutely nobody. He would have been better off heading it in for an equalizer.
Dos Sanots puts Barrera down the right and he crosses to Guardado whose shot is deflected off of Danny alves for a corner. The corner from Guardado is cleared
Jo is on for Fred.
Barrera once again beats Marcello down the right but his cross comes off of Marcello for a corner. The corner is caught by Julio Cesar and Brazil counter.
Paolinho volleys over from close range as Neymar with some audacious skill beat Meier then his cross was not cleared and Paolinho volleyed over from inside the six yard box.
My computer was installing updates, so I could not type in any comments for the remainder of the match. Jo scored in stoppage time thanks to some magic from Neymar as he dribbled past Meier and Francisco Rodriguez before passing to Rodriguez at the far post for Jo to easily score in stoppage time. Brazil won 2-0.
Thanks for picking up the slack for me as I went off for the charity event in Buffalo. Another comfortable win for Brazil today.
