Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Brian McDermott Walks the Plank

As I had feared, Brian McDermott has paid the heavy price for our recent run of poor form, most notably that 6-0 drubbing to Not a Big Club on my 50th birthday. Next out of the club - Ross McCormack. (sigh)....

Was he axed or did he jump. I think it's less him paying any particular price than being unwilling to hang around during this ownership crisis. And you're right about it not being over yet. Good luck.

He was axed. There was something in an article in the Yorkshire Post that I read this afternoon that alluded to a disagreement between Brian and the ownership team, but I can't imagine that he would have walked on his own and forfeited his contract, which will keep paying him for some time to come.

We never learn...

I guess this was coming, after a poor run of results since the holidays, including that loss on your birthday and that embarrassing FA Cup defeat at Rochdale. I am sorry that things have not improved. I thought Brian was a good choice when appointed, but he has not received the backing of the board. Who are the favorites to replace Brian?

Former Middlesbrough defender Gianluca Festa is going to take over
The owner wanted him to sit next to McDermott against Ipswich but McD refused

It's a mess

Off to my math competition
I will be a miss today

Speaking about a mess, Brian seems to be back in the manager's cockpit this afternoon after our 5-1 win. What on earth is going on at Elland Road?
