Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

They're off from the Hawthorns as it's fourth from bottom vs fourth.
If the Baggies lose by more than three goals then they replace the Hammers in the drop zone.
Since West Brom have A Spanish manager and Pool have Brendan Rodgers in charge, it's resembling a La Liga match. The flavor of the day?

Mulumbu has a corner blocked after Olsson headed on a deep corner from Brunt. Then well wide by Brunt.
GOAL !!! STURRIDGE GIVES POOL THE LEAD WITH A TAP IN AT THE FAR POST.
The goal came out of nothing . A bunch of aimless short passes then Skrtel found Coutinho , who played Sterling down the right.. Suarez screamed for the ball and played in a sublime pass to the far post to Sturridge while he was triple teamed.
Suarez curls a free kick wide.
Sturridge third in the scoring lead, one behind Aguero and nine behind Suarez. I have not given up yet!

Taken short by Henderson.
Pool lead by that goal from my GBB . Not the most entertaining first half.
The second half is underway.
Stevie G fouls Gera about a foot outside the box.
A horrible free kick from Brunt. A complete and utter waste.
Brunt has a volley come off of Flanagan for a corner off a cross from Mulumbu. Mignolet does well to save a header from MacAuley off the corner from Brunt. Pool counter
Berahino shoots well over after Yacoub won a tackle off of Sturridge.
what a save by Foster from Suarez after he turned Lugano inside out. Suarez did well against his countryman.
Liam Ridgewell booked for a short tug on Sterling.
Brunt with a volley halfway to Birmingham after a pass from Berahino was cut out. Now Anichebe is on for Berahino.
Toure called for a foul on Anichebe just outside the D
Decent save by Mignolet from the free kick from Brunt.
GOAL !!!! 1-1 AND A MOMENT TOURE WILL WANT TO FORGET. TOURE PASSED ACROSS THE POOL BOX AND ANICHEBE GREATFULLY TUCKED IT AWAY.
Anichebe never scored in a Merseyside Derby , but scores against Pool today.
Safety first from Lugano. Toure would have done well to follow suit.
Skrtel called for climbing on Anichebe,.
Suarez booked after fouling Yacoub. I think it may have been the number of fouls rather than the severity of the challenge.
Joe Allen on for Coutinho and Martin Kelly on for Flanagan
The final roll of the dice for Pepe Mel as Graham Dorrans is on for Matej Vydra.
A double header in the Championship as Forest vs Yeovil and Watford vs Brighton have just kicked off. A coincidence that three out of four teams in action are my picks for promotion.
Joe Allen straight at Ben Foster.
The latest stat is 366 passes from Pool and 365 from the Baggies. Talk about even Steven

It finishes 1-1 in a fairly even match as Pepe Mel and Brendan Rodgers shake hands in a respectful manner.
Pool remain fourth while West Brom move up one place ahead of Palace, who are up next at the EM. West Brom now one point above the drop zone.
Back for Arsenal vs Palace. Second vs fourth from bottom.
Forest lead Yeovil 2-1 at the half.
Poldi fouled by Jedinak in a decent position.
A poor free kick well over by Carzola.
Chamakh through against his former club, but he overruns it and it goes through to Seudio.
Nice counter by Palace led by Ward as he found Chamakh, who di well to twist and turn , but his pass for Puncheon was overcooked.
Watford now two up vs Brighton./
The Palace section is in full voice as the Gunners have yet to carve out a clear cut chance despite all their possession.
The Gunners win a corner against a sea of black shirts,.
The corner is cleared and the Ox has a shot blocked.
Gideon Zelalem on the Gunners bench. He's from Gooner's neck of the woods, but is a German youth international. Elligible to play for Germany, Ethiopia , or the U.S.
Still 0-0 despite the Gunners having 79% of the possession.
SPeroni does well to turn a header from Kos around the post off a free kick from Ozil that was conceded by Delaney. The corner was headed away

Morning, MUR! How are you mate? Sorry to join you so late in proceedings.
Sounds from your comments as if Palace parked the bus in the first half and it took Arsenal 50 minutes or so to break them down.
A harsh booking for Delaney for a minor foul on Caz. Chamakh was booked late in the first half.
Delaney picks up a booking. Gooner was bellyaching at half time about Palace's physical approach to the match.
Well over by Barry Bloody Bannon. Remember him?
I didn't see anything unusually physical about Palace. They merely parked the bus. Gooner should be more concerned about the clear lack of opportunities from his Gunners that were clearly shooting blanks.
Rosicky on for Poldi.
Elizabeth showed me a humorous post from Gooner about Life alert while in his comfy chair
GOAL! The Ox is back! He's got a brace today.
2-0!
GOAL !!! A SECOND FOR THE OX AND THE GUNNERS AGAINST A STUBBORN PALACE OUTFIT. GOONER SHOULD BE HAPPIER NOW.
On the replay, Speroni - who was excellent in the first half - might have been able to tip that shot around but maybe the pace of the shot beat him.
Doing alright, mate. I was out car shopping yesterday. I'd like to get something a wee bit more appropriate for the weather conditions up here.
Gooner will be doing a jig down in Alexandria now.
Danny Gabbidon cheaply conceded possession to Rosicky , who passed to Ox, who cleverly back heeled to Caz , then received the ball back and finished with a shot in the corner past SPeroni.
Agreed. Dancing in the streets of Alex as the Gunners are top, but that may change tomorrow. Pubis a glum chum.
I wish you the best with the car shopping. I hope everything works out. I agree that Speroni could have done better.
This one is done and dusted. Palace don't have the firepower in their Arsenal to mount a comeback. The lowest scoring team in the Prem/
Ozil with a weak effort easily saved by Speroni after a slip in the Palace defense.
Bolassie high and wide with a speculative long range effort.
Dwight Gayle, the former Arsenal trainee , on for Chamakh, the former Arsenal first team player.

The poor free kick from Bolassie is blocked then Dwight Gayle has a shot blocked.
I hope you feel rather Presidential with your new car. We lost President's Day due to the farcical cancellation of school on Wednesday.
Ox down off a challenge from Bolassie that will probably infuriate Gooner.
Ox up as there are three minutes of stoppage time.
Gibbs wins a corner and that should do it.
The Ox is like a new signing today. Arse have been lucky that when they've lost people, others have been ready to come back in (e.g., Poldi, The Ox).
The corner from Caz is headed out and Ox has a shot blocked then John Moss blows the final whistle as the Gunners win 2-0 and go top of the table for the time being.
The big one is tomorrow as it's second vs third as Citeh host Chelsea.
Final whistle - that puts Arsenal back on top again, at least for now. At the bottom, Palace drop to 17th perilously close to the drop zone. In truth, all of the sides in the bottom half, maybe even Villa in tenth, are in danger of relegation.
Agreed Bob. The Gunners hanging in the tile race for the first time in years.
I'll look forward to it - will you be watching?
That is the truth. Half the division is in the relegation race.
Unfortunately, I have to teach all afternoon, so I will be recording the match. I will watch it in the evening.
Enjoy it, then, mate. Have a great week at school!
Cheers mate. it was great chatting with you. I will be available next weekend.
