FA Cup Fifth Round Sturday
It's getting closer to the final and it's a typical Saturday triple header as we start with Sunderland vs Sotton followed by Cardiff vs Wigan , the holders, and concluded by the Match of the Day. My two picks for the final meet as Citeh hosts Chelsea. I will root for the team that I picked to win it all as I aim to retain my title!

I HAVE NO GAMES ON THE TELLY!!!|
It feels like the old days
Two minutes in after a short trip to the loo and the numpties in the Fox studios are making an issue of Jozy being dropped. Waldo stated that he has not been scoring. In other words, he has sucked.
Good morning UWS. Sorry to hear that. I am watching on FS 2.
I just added a photo to my post. Better!
Socco wins a corner off Yoshida from a pass by Borini. The corner from Larsson is headed away.
Morning MUR
FS2 would cost me $9 a month… not doing it
Is Fox being petty about losing the Prem but doing a crappy job with the FA Cup
Last year, the showed some games on reg Fox
I have a link going for the match and a SS one going too
Got US v Russia in the Hockey on the Telly
Better from the Saints as a cross from Lallana was headed down by Lambert and the keeper did well to save a volley by Ward -Prowse.
Sorry to hear about FS2. I agree that Fox is doing a crappy job and it may be for the reason that you stated. In that case , NBC should do the Cup once Fox's contract expires. Great choice with the hockey match. Sounds like a cracker.
Sheff Wed v Charlton has been called off because of waterlogged pitch
The weather has been atrocious everywhere in England. Horrible floods and rain
Luckily Mildenhall and Worlington has survived
Let's go out to lunch
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2559700/A-comfortable-three-points-Giggs-Neville-Sportsmails-reviewer-declares-Cafe-Football-winner.html
In the Bob's words then they really are Not a Big Club. Charlton had a delay due to the weather in the Third Round too, at Oxford. The nasty weather has been a problem all winter in the UK?
All the Championship matches are on . Two League One matches called off:
Northoventry vs Bradford City and
Crawley vs Carlisle United.
Yoshida booked for a naughty challenge on Borini.
The free kick from Larsson is headed away
Only two League Two matches called off:
Bury vs Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham vs Wycombe wanderers
Looks like the vast majority of matches have gone ahead , so the Owls are truly .........
Not a Big Club whether it be on a Wednesday or any other day of the week.
Nat Clyne wins a corner off of O'Shea.
The Saints take it short and a cross from Clyne leads to head tennis in the ob. Some trickery by Lallana as Mustari struggles to gather his cross in the sloppy conditions.
Sunderland win a free kick. The Black Cats keep possession off the free kick from Larsson then another wasted chance.
Dossena fouled by Shaw just outside the Saints box.
Larsson takes it short and Gardener has a shot deflected for a corner. The corner is headed away.
Useless cross from Borini after a long Sunderland possession off the corner.
A great chance for Sotton and but for a last ditch tackle, Lambert was there to give Sotton the leads. The corner is cleared.
Borini down off a challenge from Steven Davis.
Borini hobbling off. will he be able to continue?
Steven Davis was booked for that foul. The free kick was taken short.
Hand ball by Shaw off a cross from celustka off a long ball from Cattermole.
Hand ball by Shaw off a cross from celustka off a long ball from Cattermole.
The free kick from Larsson is headed out by Hoivelt. A minute of stoppage time
It's 0-0 at halftime of a scrappy first half in a battle of South American managers on a rainy, windy day. I am surprised to see a half empty SOL.
Some updates from Georgie Thompson:
Rene Meulensteen has walked the plank at Carven Cottage after just seventeen matches in charge. Rather harsh as I thought Fulham had improved despite their position. Felix Magath takes over and will become the first German to manage in the Prem.
More from Georgie :
Sir Tom Finney passed away at the age of 91.He was the oldest living former England international and will be missed.
Balo gave Milan a 1-0 victory over struggling Bologna with a cracker of a goal.
Poor whether in Sheffield as Wednesday had a cup match called off by Clattenburg die to a waterlogged pitch and the Evil Blades had a league match called off on Wednsday for the same reason.
The second half is underway at the SOL.
GOAL !!! CRAIG GARDENER WITH A LOING RANGER ROCKET IN THE UPPER 90 GIVES SUNDERLAND THE LEAD.
Just what this match desperately needed. A spectacular goal, but poor defending from the Saints. Yoshida cheaply conceded possession then Shaw win the ball back, but Wanayama made a half hearted challenge which allowed Gardener to score with a long range rocket off the underside of the bar.
Sorry I am out and about today
Just got your text
I agree with you about Fulham
I see Sunderland take the lead. Great goal by Garnder
I want Southampton to win. I am disgusted with the Sunderland public.. where is the Northeast passion… more people are on the field than in the stands
A rematch of a Capital One Cup match, also in the round of sixteen , that was won by the Black Cats. Will history repeat itself?
Agreed. The Geordies should be used to this weather.
Also harsh at Craven Cottage as Meulensteen made some new signings and only had two matches in charge with them. A draw at OT and gave Pool a run for their money.
Jay Rodriguez on for the quiet Da Prado and Schneiderlin on for Ward- Prose as the Saints make a double substitution.
Talking about Not a Big Club. Connor Whickham recalled from a loan spell at Not a Big Club as he is on for Ignacio Socco, the Argie who made his Black Cats Debut. Whickham scored eight goals in eleven matches during the loan spell.
Talking about Not a Big Club. Connor Whickham recalled from a loan spell at Not a Big Club as he is on for Ignacio Socco, the Argie who made his Black Cats Debut. Whickham scored eight goals in eleven matches during the loan spell.
Whickham fails to make the proper connection off a great cross and that could have been a two goal lead.
Marcos Alonso on for Andrea Dossena as it's like for like.
Lallana shoots wide from closer range off a pass from Clyne. Great pass from Steven Davis.
Aberdeen take the lead at St. Helen Mirren in the 80th minute.
A collector's item as Rickie Lambert misses a sitter.A sublime pass from Clyne and Lambert blasts over from three yards out.
Sam McQueen from the Saints Youth Academy on for Lallana, and Gardener, the scorer, replaced by Jack Colback. The final roll of the dice from both South American managers
Another chance for Wickham as he goes on a solo run , but shoots wide with a poor finish.
Back just in time for Cardiff vs the holders, Wigan and a moment's applause for the passing of Sir Tom Finney
They're off and the announcer stated that the sun is trying to break out after some horrible weather.
I See that it was 1-0 to the Black Cats as they won thanks to that wonder strike from Craig Gardener. They eliminated the Saints from the same stage of the Capital One Cup as well.
Great move by Cardiff as Theophile Catherine played in Wilfred Zaha and there was not a red shirt here to connect off the United loanee's nice pass.
A great chance for the Cup holders as Ben Watson the Cup Final hero , found James Perch with a nice long ball and he dragged an effort well wide. A great chance.
Athletico Madrid two up vs Real Valladoid in the fourth . Does that affect the PPP?
That puts Athletico three ahead of Real and Barca in the standings as they have their own three horse race.
An interesting managerial duel between OGS an Uwe Rosler. A former United player vs a former Citeh player and both had spells at Molde.
League One leaders, Brentford, take the lead at Crewe.
Hudders take the lead at Brum as lee Clark trails vs the club that sacked him.
Beausejour with the first corner of the match, that was headed away

Conference leaders, Luton Airport, take the lead vs Hereford Cow, and are now nine points clear of Cambridge
Bolton take the lead at Evil Millwall.
GOAL !!!! THE HOLDERS TAKE THE LEAD AT THE PREM SIDE AS CALLUM MACMANAMAN SCORES OFF A GREAT PASS AND RUN FROM ROGER ESPINOZA.
wOLVES TAKE THE LEAD VS nOITTS cOUNTY
The Championship had been threatening to score and the goal involved several players from last year's cup run. A nice one two between Jordi Gomez and Macmanaman as Gomez had across cut out , but poorly cleared, then Espinoza got the loose ball and set up Macmanaman.
Tranmere tie it up at Bristol City
Fleetwood Mac take the lead vs Bottom club, Northampton, who like losing their league position and being replaced by Luton Airport, an hour south down the M1.
Macamanan wins a corner with a great rundown the left from a move started by Ben Watson.
A corner from Beausejour is headed out and Roger Espinoza blasts well over.
GOAL !!!! 1-1 AND STRAIGHT FROM THE MUFC ACADEMY AS FRAZIER CAMPBELL TIE IT UP WITH A NEAR POST FINISH.
This time Wigan were guilty of poor defending as Ekrom found Wilfred Zaha with a nice chipped pass. His pass was cut out and as the Wigan defenders were dilly dallying, Campbell took advantage as he shot through a crowd of players
Oxford Shoe on top of Jayne Mansfield as they take the lead. Southport two up vs Salisbury Steak.
Barnsley take the lead in a South Yorkshire Derby relegation six pointer. Just down the road from the match that was called off. Who is the Big Club?

Salisbury Steak pull one back at Southport as they trail 2-1.
Rochdale tie it up vs Morecambe and less wise.
Partick Thistle take the lead at Motherwell
Oldham take the lead at the Fake Dons.
Jeff Stellling will be pleased as Hartlepool take the lead vs Newport County
GOAL!!!! ELEMNTARY AS BEN WATSON, THE CUP FINAL HERO, GIVES WIGAN A 1-2 LEAD.

Halftime and the holders are 1-2 up at Cardiff
Donny tie it up vs Barnsley and Dick York are two up at Argyle.
Orient are one up at Preston
Rangers being held 0-0 at Ayr United at the half.
Grant McCann scored the first Wigan goal, not Macmanaman.
Ben Watson , the cup final hero vs citeh scores today playing for a former Citeh player against a team managed by a former United player. Any questions?
MIdway through the second half and back to see that I did not miss any second half goals.Zaha wanted a pen for a challenge by Boyce , but went down too easily.
Bournemouth take a surprise lead vs Burnley while Hudders are two up at Brum and Donny now lead Barnsley 2-1. Burnely tie it up at Bournemouth and Brentford lead 13- at Crewe
Brentford lead 1-3.

A waste of a short corner from Cardiff.
Rangers four wins away from clinching a second consecutive promotion and Championship.
Oxford Shoe three up vs Jayne Mansfield
Kim on for Ekrem, a Norwegian signing spotted by OGS and wigan counter with Stephen Crainey on for Jordi Gomez.
wigan not known for their travelling support brought a surprising number of travelling fans, who are really vocal.
Frazier Campbell wins a free kick just outside the box.
Al Habsi does well to tip over a deflected shot from Daley and another great save by Al Habsi from Zaha off the short corner. The a foul is called against the Red Dragons
Double duty for Desmond as he chosen to watch Bristol City vs Tranmere and Southend vs Exeter City rather than this cup tie.
Mother tie it up vs Partick Thistle. It's 3-3.
Raith score vs Hamilton, but it's Academical as they trail 14-.
MIllwall tie it up vs Bolton.
Robert Preston tie it up vs the Orient Express . great new for Brentford and Wolves.
Craig Noone with a left footed curler high and wide.

Luton Airport win by seven vs Hereford Cow.
The big news in League One is that Brentford are top by three points and Orient drew at fifth placed Preston . As a result Wolves overtake by moving up to second after a 20 win over fourth from bottom Notts County
A moment's silence at the Etihad and the Chelsea fans refuse to shut it. Finally do. Really poor.
Classy example set by Jose leading a moment's applause well done.
They're off in the matchup that I picked for the Cup Final. GRRRRRRRR!!!
By the Way, I agree with Jose's remark about Arsene. It may not be nice, but he is correct.
Pelligrini has a horrible record vs Jose . One win, six draws and seven losses!
Pelligrini has a horrible record vs Jose . One win, six draws and seven losses!
COME ON YOU BLUES!!! BOTH TEAMS WEARING THEIR TRADITONAL KITS AS IT'S LIGHT BLUE VS ROYAL BLUE . WELL DONE AS PHIL DOWD AND HIS CREWE MUST HAVE EAGLE EYES.
UWS will be delighted that the US defeated Russia 3-2 in a shootout in hockey. Great decision by the coach to watch that match. Sounds like a cracker.
OH! How did Citeh not take the lead. Cech fumbled a long range effort from Yaya and Jovetic missed a wide open goal as he shot the rebound off the bar . Then
GOAL !!!! JERKO GIVES CITEH THE LEAD.
my APOLOGIES . Jovetic with the goal with a great finish off the inside of the post a minute after that missed sitter. Clichy with a run down the left, who passed to Silva , who passed to Jerko, who played through Jovetic with a nice through ball.
Panic for Citeh as Pantilimon fumbles a pass from Ivanovic and then a mix up with Zaba, but eventually gathers the ball.
Well wide by Yaya off a pass from Silva.
