Dog Days of Summer Footie
I'm thinking the same as this dog as I will be inside, escaping the South Texas heat. I will be watching Capital One Cup Action as well as the UEFA Super Cup. The Fake Dons vs The Real Dons play in the Capital One cup Bein televised on BEIN while Real vs Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup is being televised on FS1. Both matches kick off at 2:45 EDT and make sure to stay cool and hydrated.
170 Comments:
Both matches are in the UK. The Super Cup match is being played at Cardiff!
Afternoon, mate - I'm here for the start of the festivities. The delivery may interrupt proceedings for me but I'm hoping that the Leeds boys can bounce back from the bad loss to Evil Millwall over the weekend with a tasty win against "Who?" today.
And we're underway in the 1st Round of the League Cup. Here's the team news out of Elland Road:
Leeds - S. Taylor, Berardi, Wootton, Pearce, C. Taylor, Tonge, Cook, Bianchi, Ajose, Smith, Doukane. Subs: Silvestri, Byram, Austin, Killock, Poleon, Bendicic, Hunt.
Accrington - Simpson, Buxton, Aldred, Winnard, Mustoe, Mingola, Hunt, Windass, Naismith, Gray, Alabi: Subs: Lynch, Liddle, McCartan, Hatfield, Martin, Atkinson, Bowerman.
I've got a lovely link up through First Row for the Gillette Soccer Special.

Brentford are 0-2 up - over the hill and far away. Dagenham's League Cup campaign is just about over.
Not a Big Club have taken the lead vs Notts County.

Six changes by Hockaday today, a combination of Academy kids and Italian purchases. Yikes!
Skippy has a free kick deflected over. The corner from Modric is headed away then Bale has a shot deflected for a corner.
Forest have taken the lead at Tranmere.
Sounds like Hockaday is tanking the Capital One Cup match, his first time ever in charge of one.

Oh dear - Pleat will be lusting after Monkey Boy Bale's thrusting thighs all evening long.
The best chance of the match for the Real Dons. The Keeper fumbled a near post effort then the rebound was shot tamely to the keeper.
GOAL! The Fake Dons take the lead.
Port Vale are 3-1 up now - a hat-trick within twenty minutes.
It was a cheeky back heel volley at the near post from a corner. How about that?

Daggenham pull one back vs Brentford.
The Fake Dons win a corner and Bob will be pleased to hear that the travelling Real Dons fans refuse to give the ball back.
Hard to say. I had heard that he plays a bit wider than Ross did but I haven't seen him play yet. Good news though regardless.
A new ball is given and the Real Dons struggle to clear the corner. They've already conceded once from a corner.
Well in the Real Dons fans.

Sounds a bit spicy.
I agree, Bob.
Those substitutions really worked out for them.

BUGGER! MATCH OVER AS THE FAKE DONS GO THREE UP. EASY PEASY.
