We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

In this evening's other CL match-up, Leverkusen meets Atletico. Should be an enthralling afternoon of CL watching.
The teams getting ready at the Em:
Arse - Ospina, Bellerin, Mert, Koz, Gibbs, Coq Au Vin, Caz, Alexis, Ozil, Welly, Giroud. Subs: Sussudio, Paulista, Rosicky, Theo, The Ox, Nachos, Chambers.
Monaco - Subasic, Toure, Wallace, Addennour, Elderson, Dirar, Kondoggo, Fabinho, Moutinho, Martial, Dracula. Subs: Stekelenberg, Kurzawa, Matheus, Bernardo, Ferreira, Traore, Diallo.

The front line for Arsenal seems to be full of quality but I'm surprised by some of the choices that Arsene has made in the backline. Ospina? Coq au Vin?
I believe they are first choice players now.

wellie down as Bellerin won a corner despite appearing to trip Addennour. Wellie is okay. Giroud heads the corner from Alexis well wide.

Caz's free kick leads to a corner which Beaker takes. Decent service.

The fans are amused as Drac falls off a pass from Moutinho then the Gunners go straight up the other end Alexis shoots just over off a nice one two.

A bit sloppy there from the Arsenal and Moutinho nearly capitalized on it. Arsenal can't be complacent here at 0-0.

The shot took a wicked deflection off Mert and Ospina was rooted to the turf.

GOAL !!! Monaco take the lead with a deflected effort off of Merte. A swerving long range effort from Kondogbia off a nice run and pass from Moutinho, who has been bossing this match

Half-time at the Emirates and the home side trudges in not feeling very good about this at all. Monaco were seen as a good draw for them but they're making heavy weather of it so far.
0-1 Monaco
We're back on at the Emirates now for the second half.
Oh - nearly a perfect start there with Alexis bursting through and then nearly finding Giroud. Wallace put him off.
Nearly a carbon copy of the first half where Arsenal started quickly but then let the match drift away from them.
Caz earns a tasty free kick that he'll fight over with Beaker.
Forest lead 2-1 now through a Henri Lansbury goal.
Oh - really inviting delivery from Caz and Giroud had a free header that for some reason he put well over. Should have been the equalizer there.
Oh dear - Monaco have broken free quickly and Drac has doubled their lead.

Massive trouble for the Gunners now - the Neviller is scathing in reviewing that defensive catastrophe.
Oh dear - another terrible miss from Giroud. Alexis had a sharp shot that was parried straight to Giroud and the Frenchman somehow contrived to put it over from about eight yards.
Leverkusen have gone 1-0 up.
This one seems a lost cause, so I'm off home to clear some snow from the driveway.
