NBCSN.... What a fine Job!
I emailed this article to a few of you but it was suggested to post it on LOB
Interesting article about NBCSN and their coverage of the Premier League
Here's the website
Premier League on NBCSN
Your thoughts,

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Thanks for reposting this one, mate. It's well worth discussing here on the LOB. I think Rebecca Lowe is a fine host for the NBC Sports Network coverage but it's really the coverage and the Premiership itself that has won over ordinary American sports fans.
I recently had dinner in Austin, Texas with Kate's step brother, who is a test case for what Harris is on about here. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia as a sports crazy kid, loving the UVA basketball team and the Baltimore Orioles. When NBC got the rights a couple of years back, he decided to take a look - and he got hooked. His favorite team - Manchester United, of course (sigh).
I second that. NBC's coverage has been superb. They took over from FOX, who had done a mediocre job at best and really revolutionized the way football is covered in this country. As Bob stated, Rebecca Lowe has done an excellent job, but there are other excellent aspects as well such as NBC deciding to show the players coming out of the tunnel, the pre-match pomp and circumstance, and televising the closing stages of other matches once the main match is over. The two Robbies and Kyle talk about football instead of making moronic remarks. The fans get a fell for the emotion of being a football fan, not just the Xs and Os.
Just looking at the sheer numbers of the US market (a population over 5 times that of the UK) the possibilities seem positive. When my girls get older I plan to invest in some channel or other that shows footie, but until then, I'm mooching off of Bob a couple of times a season. ;)
I just hope NBC see how important this is and extend their contract
I was worried when they announced this deal during a Sunday Night NFL game because Fox had done a good job BUT I was wrong! Fox only did an okay jump and NBC have been brilliant
LONG MAY IT CONTINUE
You've just reminded me, Red Devil, that I need to get the gang together for another Premiership morning. Thanks!
