The Europa League Crunch Time!
It's crunch time in the Europa League, chaps. This evening, they'll sort out the finalists who will meet up in Warsaw on Wednesday, May 27. I'm all in for Sevilla who are my last, best hope for the PPP title. Fortunately, the current holders put Fiorentina to the sword at home, which means they go into the away leg 0-3 up. Barring a disaster in Florence, my boys should make it. Meanwhile, in the other tie, Dinipro scored an impressive 1-1 draw away to a powerful Napoli side. I would love to see the Eastern Europeans manage their home leg, as they would seem the easier match-up for Sevilla in the final. Join me from 2:45pm EST onward for all the Thursday afternoon EL action!

Sevilla - Sergio, Coke, Carrico, Kolodzin, Tremouli, Mbia, Krychov, Vidal, Banega, Vitolo, Bacca. Subs: Beto, Navarro, Figueiras, Gameiro, REyes, Iborra, Suarez.
Good afternoon, Bob. It's between you and Strose. If Sevilla win the EL then you win the shield in the battle of I-90.
Afternoon, MUR - how's your week going? I've got the coverage from Fox Soccer 2 Go up and running in the office here.
I hope you are having a better week than yours truly. It's been sort of a crappy week at work, so this is a temporary oasis . I hope all is well with you.
Sorry to hear that, mate. I hope this match will be a tonic.
And we're away in Florence tonight.
Good early pressure from Sevilla, with Bacca earning an early corner. Lovely.
Oh - great chance there with the ball fizzing across the goal-line. No one there to tap in. Another corner.
Sevilla attack from the of, winning an early corner.
Bacca's the real danger man - Sevilla are trying to kill off the tie straight away.
Cheers mate. I'm glad that I can retire in just a few years. I'm ready.
Another Sevilla goal should clinch a place in the final.
Some of the early Sevilla defending has been to lax. They don't want to let the violas back in early doors.
Wycombe wanderers lead Argyle 1-0 in a L2 playoff semi and 4-2 on agg. Sorry mate.
Oh - Vidal went down there in the box but got nothing. Sevilla definitely knocking on the door.
Not going to be Argyle's year to go up, I'm afraid.
A Sevilla clearance is sliced away for a corner.
A clumsy, but unintentional elbow.
Well over by Ilicic of the Violas, while Basanta is still being treated for that elbow and we're not talking pasta.
OH!!! A superb reflex save by Sergio from a header off a corner to prevent the violas from scoring
Very open match - I'm loving it.
It gets worse for Argyle as Wycombe go two up and now lead 5-2 on agg. Sorry Bob.
Savic gives up another corner to Sevilla. Cracking tie.
Me too, but that was a close call a minute ago.
Salah and Savic are two Prem rejects that are suiting up for the violas.
WAY HAY!!! I WENT TO THE LOO, BUT LOOKED AT THE REPLAY AND SEE THAT BACCA HAS GIVEN SEVILLA THE LEAD. SURELY THEY ARE IN THE FINAL
My last class is about to start. I will see if I can be around for the second half . Cheers mate,
I missed it too - had a colleague come by and interrupt me mid-match. Great news, though. Sevilla are on their way.
The nice thing is that you can go back and watch the highlights (goals and red cards and the sort) on this Fox Soccer 2 Go link.
GOAL! It's 0-2!!!!!
Daniel Caricco in at the back post for another scrappy one.
One last chance for the Viola with this free kick. Ilicic well wide with this one. Disappointing.
And that's it for the first half. Sevilla are now 5-0 up on aggregate, with two away goals.
Into the second half now - the pace has slackened noticeably. Sevilla realize that they've got both feet firmly planted in the final in Warsaw and Fiorentina haven't mustered much.
In the other fixture tonight, Dnipro and Napoli are still at 0-0, deadlocked as they were in the first leg.
I'm off home now - cheerio!
I am glad to see that we are five up on agg, secure in the fact that our team is headed to the final in thirteen days.
As things stand, Dnipro are headed to the final on the away goals rule.
Dnipro have taken the lead vs Napoli , now leading 2-1 on agg, but Napoli still need a goal to stay in the tie as they did at kickoff.
It's over and Sevilla win 5-0 on agg and are in the final in thirteen days.
In the other semi, Dnipro are one up and lead 2-1 on agg. They are two minutes into stoppage time with three minutes remaining.
Dnipro had a shot come off the upright and nearly put the tie away
It's over as Sevilla will face Dnipro in the final.
