Champions League Semi Final Wednesday!
It's Champions League semi final time, chaps. Unfortunately, I had to miss the tense, cagey first leg between Juventus and Real Madrid yesterday, which ended in a 2-1 victory for the home side thanks to a second half penalty from Carlos Tevez. But I'll certainly be watching today as Barcelona take on Bayern at the Camp Nou. It's a classic European evening - don't miss it. Join me here at 2:45 for all the action.

It actually wasn't a cagey first leg
It was end to end stuff... especially in the first half
Afternoon, UWS - great to have you on board. Here are the teams lining up in the tunnel now:
Barcelona: ter Stegen, Dani Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Rakitic, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi, Suarez, Neymar.
Subs: Bravo, Xavi, Pedro, Rafinha, Bartra, Adriano, Vermaelen.
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Rafinha, Benatia, Boateng, Bernat, Alonso, Muller, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Thiago, Lewandowski.
Subs: Reina, Dante, Javi Martinez, Pizarro, Gaudino, Gotze, Weiser.

Teams coming out now on a perfect night in Barcelona - a great occasion. I hope the match can live up to it. Martin Tyler and the Neviller on the mic tonight - marvelous!

Pep Guardiola making a late entrance, perhaps to avoid a lot of hullabaloo. This must be a tense evening for him, on his return to the Camp Nou. He's gone straight to the opposition dugout. And we're ready to go.
In the absence of both Ribery and Robben, Guardiola has been forced to press into service Robert Lewandowski who was concussed in an incident just ten days ago.
Suarez is bundled over by Boateng, a real liability at the back for Bayern in my estimation. He gets nothing for it.
Bayern are pressing Barca high up the pitch. That's the only way to do things tonight - get after them.
Boateng's in trouble again, hacking Neymar. It's going to be hard for him to avoid some cards tonight.
Oh - Suarez was straight through now but Neuer saved brilliantly with his feet one-on-one.
Bayern really under the cosh now against perhaps the most dynamic front line in the biz.
Oh - Suarez gets to the by-line and pulls back to Neymar who fluffs his chance. Corner.
Bayern have just about weathered the early storm. They'll be looking to get out of this leg, merely keeping the scoreline down.
Brilliant work from Thomas Muller down the right, who does well to hold off Jordi Alba and drill the ball low and hard across the face of Barcelona’s goal. Robert Lewandowski slides in but fails to make contact by this much. He should have scored.
Great weaving run through the area by Messi but his dish off to Neymar was too far ahead of his teammate.
Messi has a go at goal from a freekick about thirty yards out, which Neuer handles brilliantly. He's been Bayern's best player so far.
Alves was in on the keeper and Neuer saved wonderfully once again.
That's the end of the first half, an absorbing one. Bayern have survived, much due to the brilliant performance of Manuel Neuer. Otherwise Barca might be two or three up.
Hello Bob. I saw the last few minutes of the first half on a busy Wednesday. Juve vs Real is finely balanced while this one is 0-0 at the half. Two competitive semis.
Hiya, MUR. Yes, two very competitive semis that will likely turn on one or two key incidents. Teams coming back out now.
Barca get us underway again....
The second half is underway
Oh - Lewandowski nearly got through and was pushed over by Dani Alves just on the edge of the box. Close call there.
Agreed. There is little to choose between the teams. As I type, Dani Alves fouls Lewandowski just outside the box and is booked.
Dangerous free kick here for Xavi Alonso to take....
Into the wall - disappointing.
Into the wall by Xabi Alonso and out for a corner.
Lots of tango in the box and a poor corner is caught by Neuer.
Medhi Benatia is harshly booked for what looked like an accidental collision with Andres Iniesta, which sends the Barcelona midfielder sprawling. I’m not so sure it was even a foul, let alone one worthy of a booking.
Bayern are now in the position to push for that vital away goal. Even if they gave up one goal now, it wouldn't be a tragedy.
Now it's Juan Bernat who's booked for leaning on Messi as he broke away.
Oh - nice interchange between Messi and Neymar, but the Argentinian maestro's shot was straight at Neuer.
A half chance for Neymar now but it's well blocked over for a corner.
This looks to be an excellent result for Bayern if it continues to play out this way.
Pique is booked for a rash challenge, setting up another free kick chance for Bayern.
Good ball in but Busquets clears well.
I'm back . My students are taking a test and I completed some other last minute grading before progress reports go out. It appears to still be 0-0.
Ooh! Thiago Alcantara unleashes a fizzing drive from the edge of the area that takes a wicked deflection off Pique’s knee. Luckily, the ricochet takes all the pace out of the wild shot, allowing the wrong-footed Ter Stegen to get down low to his left and save it.
Welcome back, mate - yes, still 0-0 with 15 minutes left.
Fifteen minutes remaining and still 0-0. Advantage Pep against his former club.
GOAL! It's that man Messi again!!!
Neymar goes down, asking for a penalty and
GOAL !!! MESSI GIVES BARCA THE LEAD WITH A NEAT FINISH
Messi is level with Ronny again on 76 CL goals as fires in a left-footed drive from just outside the area.
Mario Gotze is coming on to replace Muller.
Great work by Dani Alves as he cut inside then passed to Messi, who beat Neuer at the near post with a powerful shot
1-0 is still a really serviceable result for Bayern.
Goetze on for Mueller as Bayern look to tie it up
I think 1-0 would leave this semi evenly balanced with either team having a chance to progress.
GOAL! Messi again with a brilliant goal!
GOAL !!! 2-0 BARCA AS MESSI SCORES WITH A TYPICAL SOLO RUN AND A TYPICAL CHIP
Messi has destroyed Bayern in a matter of five minutes.
Rakitic started that one, cutting out the Bayern move and then feeding Messi. Messi made a monkey out of Boateng who basically fell over and then chipped the big figure of Neuer into the corner. Great stuff.
Messi made Boateng look like a real mug as hew went past him as if he didn't exist then beat the on rushing Neuer with a delightful chip
Xavi coming on to replace Rakitic.
Xavi is on for Rakitic.
Bayern will feel hard done by but their defenders let them down there. They have to go for an away goal now.
Now it's advantage Barca as Bayern lost in Spain to real in the semis then couldn't recover. is history about to repeat itself for Pep's lads?
Oh - Suarez was in there, but he blazed the shot over.
Suarez got behind the Bayern defense and blazed over with just Neuer to beat
I think so; it's odds on for an El Classico final now in my humble opinion.
That is true, but at this stage of the competition the teams are so talented that they will punish any little mistake and Messi did just that
I think Juve are in with a chance if they can prevent Real from scoring early. The Old Lady has yet to sing.
High and wide by Pig Stick, who shot like one.
A standing ovation for Iniesta as he's replaced by Rafinha.
The final roll of the dice for Luis Enrique as Masch gets a standing ovation as Marc Bartra is on in his place.
Rafinha fouls Suarez by the corner flag and the two get into it.
Four minutes of stoppage time.
GOAL! As Bayern chased that away goal, Neymar was put through to slot home unopposed.
3-0 Barca - this tie is over!
I'm off home, mate. Cheerio!
GOAL !!! 3-0 BARCA DEEP IN STOPPAGE TIME AS BAYERN WERE CAUGHT CHASING THE GAME AND NEYMAR SLOTTED IT PAST NEUER AS BAYERN WERE CAUGHT UP FIELD AND THIS TIE IS EFFECTIVELY OVER.
Cheers mate . Not a happy return for Pep.
It's over and Barca thrash Bayern 3-0 with three late goals.
