Join me from early doors to find out which side - the Canaries or Tractor Boyz - will take another step closer to Premiership footie.

Morning, chaps! They're calling it "El Agriculturo Classico." I hope it's going to be a cracker. It's the East Anglian Derby live from Portman Road. Don't miss it!
Good morning Bob. I' here for a very important trip down memory lane.
I saw the match Yesterday on the DVR and would think that the Canaries and Jose's AAA ball club will meet at Wembley on Memorial Day.
The Canaries team that was relegated last May is almost completely intact.
They're off from Portman Road.
Here are the teams for today's classico:
Ipswich: Bialkowski; Chambers, Smith, Berra, Mings; Bishop, Skuse, Bru, Varney; Sears, Murphy. Subs: Gerken, Parr, McGoldrick, Anderson, Stephen Hunt, Noel Hunt, Tabb.
Norwich: Ruddy; Whittaker, Martin, Bassong, Olsson; Howson, Tettey, Dorrans, Redmond; Johnson, Jerome. Subs: Hooper, Hoolahan, Elliott Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Rudd, O’Neil, Odjidja-Ofoe.
Referee: A Taylor
Morning, MUR - we're away from PR.
The announcers are Andres Cordado and Gary Bailey.
How was your week, mate?
The teams are playing for presumably a place in the final against Chelsea's B team.
I had an extremely busy week. It's near the end of the school year , so I worked late some evenings doing tutoring jobs. How was your week?
Oh - Freddy Sears nearly with the opening goal for the Tractor Boyz.
OH!!!!! Freddy Sears nearly put Ipswich in the lead as John Ruddy made a fantastic double save from Sears and Daryl Murphy .
Now the Canaries have a free kick in a dangerous position.
Sounds like we had similar weeks, mate. Getting set for Finals next week.
Bradley Johnson drags the free kick well wide. was that learned behavior from ER?
We still have four weeks of school. I'm sure it will be a relief to have the semester end.
The double save was from Freddy Sears and Luke Varney. Sears , just like the ones at the Sears store were not firing on all cylinders.
It will be; this was a weird semester with lots of student issues to sort out.
El Agrilculturo Classico is muy agriculturo
Sounds like a typical year at our school. I'm sure you will be relieved to get a well deserved break or at least a less stressful schedule.
It is - with characters like Tetley about, you're going to get some agricultural challenges.
Mick is having a go at his own keeper there - already pretty sweary on the sideline.
Portman Road is significant for Gary Bailey and family. Dad played for the Tractor Boyz while Gary made his United debut against Ipswich, keeping a clean sheet. He also played in a United team that lost 6-0 despite saving two penalties in that match.
Correct. Mick doesn't mean taking the Micky. He's a no nonsense character.
Absolutely - I'd love to have him back in the Prem.
Some Canaries fans , who made the short Journey were pretty sweary towards Tyrone Mings of the Tractor Boyz.
I have a feeling it will be the young , promising Alex Neill or Aidar, the Jose protegee leading their team to the promised land.
Johnny Howson heads wide from a great cross by Nathan Redmond, but he was well marked.
Love the ads for Greene King beer. That takes me back.
This is still the nucleus of the Norwich side that got relegated a couple of years back, without the fancy dans they bought that season.
The Canaries nearly took the lead as Tettey had a curler go off the outside of the post for a goal kick.
Oh - off the post for Norwich. Close call there.
Greene King is definitely the dominant EA beer. Those were great times.
This is actually their first season down, but it is basically the same side that went down last May with the exception of Graham Dorrans. They should stay up if they get promoted.
They were indeed. I remember consuming half a crate of Abbot Ale with "Mellow Milton" once.
Luke Varney is down for the Tractor Boyz.
Hey Boys
I don't have the derby on the telly
I'll get a link
I fancy Boro to go up after their performance yesterday at Brentford. Not sure any of the promoted sides will stay up.
YIKES!!!! I'would be surprised if you got up the next morning without being any worse for wear.
Z Cars theme as the teams walk out of the tunnel

Morning, UWS - great to have you on board.
Varney is being stretchered off!
Not good
It's hard to say. It will be really close. I think the teams are comparable to the Foxes. Watford's wealthy Italian owners claim that they will put a lot of money into the team, Bournemouth is hard to figure and either playoff team should do just enough to stay up.
Good morning UWS.
They're off at Goodison
This would be a huge loss for Ipswich - Varney has been a big part of Ipswich's success. We've missed him this season.
Paul Anderson came on in his place.
Cheers for the link but I already have one up and running
Unfortunate haircut for Nathan Redmond.
You got it, mate.
He's the joker in the pack, so I guess that includes the Barnet
Everton don't seem to be playing as well as their last home game.... BUGGERS!
Leon Osman was not far off with that effort.
Why are you supporting the Toffees this morning?
The EA Derby has been disappointing up to this point.
He wants the Toffees to win to show that United lost to a great team, not because they were pathetic that day.
Bassong heads out for a Tractor Boyz corner.
The corner from Tyrone Mings was headed out by Tettey
Oh - that makes sense....I guess.
Bloody Leeds academy
GOAL !!! JOHNNY HOWSON SCORES WITH A GREAT FINISH OFF A RUN AND PASS FROM CAMERON JEROME.
GOAL! LUFC Academy pops home Norwich City's opener and the crucial away goal.
Quality finish there from Jonny. Took it with aplomb. The Canaries fans are going potty.
0-1 Norwich!
I am pleased since I picked the Canaries to get promoted via the playoffs. I have a chance for a mid table finish
Panti did well to rush out and block from the Chunk then Leon Osman shoots just wide.
It wasn't the best defending from Skuse as Jerome made that great run down the left
I like the name that one of the web sites named this game
Glasgow has the Old Firm derby
East Anglia has the Old Farm derby
Well in, mate. Sevilla are giving me an outside chance of reclaiming the Shield.
Into the last minute here at Portman Road. Advantage Canaries.
six minutes of stoppage time.
Bradley Johnson looks as if he's been living in the woods this season.
Ipswich have a late free kick chance now.
Great description, UWS. It's rather agricultural.
Tyrone Mings has a free kick deflected for a corner.
GOAL! The equalizer comes from Paul Anderson right on the stroke of half time!!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!
1-1!!!!!!!!!!!
Varney's replacement scores
The blame has to go to Ruddy who bobbled Freddy Sears' shot into the path of the Ipswich man.
GOAL !!!! PAUL ANDERSON SCORES A REBOUND OFF A FUMBLED SHOT FROM FREDDY SEARS THAT ALL POOR CLEARANCE FROM RUSSELL MARTIN . IT'S 1-1
I don't think away goals count in the playoffs
Maybe after ET of the second leg but not before
The Old Farm Derby has come to life.
Correct . They count after ET,
Christohe Berra should have given Ipswich the lead as he headed over with a free header off a great cross from Bru.
half time at PR
COME ON YOU BLUES!!
It's 1-1 at the half of the first leg of the EA playoff derby. A slow start that ended with a bang.
MUR, did you see my post about the Giggs movie on Netfilx
Defoe has a shot deflect off of Whickham for a goal kick.
I did see it. I definitely want to watch it. Thanks for the post.
do you have netflix
I don't . I need to set up an account.
The second half is underway from Portman Road.
A corner from Baines is headed out by Whickham for another,
Dorrans is booked for as poor tackle from behind on Paul Anderson, who won a great tackle and was headed out on a break.
Great block by Panti from the Chunk off a great pass from Barkley then Panti saves a side footed effort from McCarthy to keep it at 0-0/
Wes Brown has been booked for the Black Cats.
Ross Barkley wins a corner off of Wes Brown.,
Back for the second half after a refreshing shower. Kate and I are preparing for a shopping road trip today down into Western PA to an outlet mall town.
Whickham has a tame effort easily caught by Timmy.
I hope you have a great trip. Is it near Erie?
So you'll be missing United struggle against Palace
I won't be around all day either
A minute of stoppage time at Goodison.
Unfortunately, yes. I'm hoping that you lot can stop the rot.
Me either. I have to leave at the end of the EA Derby. I got hired for a summer program at school and orientation is today.
Half time at Goodison
Sunderland are better than United
It's 0-0 at the half at Goodison.
Are you going to be gone all saturdays now MUR?
Indfense yes, but not in attack.
That's great news, MUR. Not that you'll be MIA not the LOB but still great that you're getting the work.
No. just today. I will be working for just a few days. The program will be Monday through Wednesday the weeks off June 15th , June 22nd , and July 6th. I'm working half the days
Cheers mate. Ta very much. Another good point is that it doesn't conflict with the trip to Richmond.
Cameron Jerome booked for an off the ball foul on Berra.
Bialkowski saves easily from Bradley Johnson
Cam Jerome has already failed in the Prem with a couple of other sides.
He has. If promoted, Alex Neill will need to look for a proven goal scorer at the highest level.
At least it will be great weather for outdoor activities such as a picnic.
Davie Moyes has a thankless task as his Sociedad side visit the Nou Camp later today.
Gary Bailey said that Bradley Johnson has scored fifteen goals this season. That's impressive for a middie. He's been their key player this season.
Freddy Sears heads high and wide off a cross from Strange Bru. Just like the store, the striker was well off target.
We definitely missed that scoring potential at the Elland.
Just wide by Bradley Johnson. It took a deflection for a corner.
The second half is underway from Goodison where Barkley, the seventh beetle, and Whickham are also missed at ER.
Wes Hoolihan - another player who has failed in the Prem - is on as a sub.
Strange Bru coming off now.
Kevin Bru is off as he failed to cook just enough for a successful recipe and is replaced by Jay Tabb.
The Toffees win a corner and it ping pongs just wide off the Black Cats goal. Two more corners for the Toffees.
Free kick chance now for the Canaries. Cam Jerome sets up Johnson.
Panti tips over a free header from Jags. The fourth Toffees corner is finally cleared.
I thought Hoolihan did okay. The Canaries had a slump the second half of the season. Prior to that they did OK. If promoted they should do just enough to stay up.
Another Toffees corner and it's headed wide by The Chunk.
It's 1-1 with fifteen minutes plus stoppage time remaining.
Jonathan Parr, not Jack, is on for Teddy Bishop. The final roll of the dice from Mick.
Advantage Norwich, wouldn't you say?
GOAL !!! VERGINI HAS GIVEN THE BLACK CATS A PRICELESS LEAD AGAINST THE RUN OF PLAY
It was actually Danny Graham with a first time side footed effort in the corner from 25 yards out. a rare , but possibly priceless goal from Graham Cracker.
That could be the savior for Sunderland.
If it finishes 1-1 then I would say it's advantage Canaries. Will there will be late winner as there was yesterday?
think that moves Fred's team ahead of their rivals and puts Brucie's Tigers back in the drop zone ahead of their fixture vs Burnley
That could have been 0-2 Black Cats as Pat Van Arnholt went on a solo run, but sliced wide with just Timmy to beat
Mccarthy, not Mick, fouls Van Arnholt.
Fred will be delighted.
Lee Cattermole fouls MccArthy about 30 yards out.
The fizz has gone out of the EA Derby
Hull are in real trouble now. Apart from today, they've got a hell of a run-in. They need maximum points today.
The free kick from Baines was headed out then headed wide by Leon Osman.
Gary Hooper is on for Cam Jerome, who is on a yellow. Mirallis is on for Gareth Barry in an attacking move.
A win would put the Tigers on 37 points, which may not be quite enough.
Naughty by Jordi Gomez as the ref plays the advantage. It may be a booking in a minute or so.
Nice solo , skillful run by Coleman, but the final touch was just wide by the ball juggler.
It's a corner as Jordi Gomez is booked for the earlier foul and the Black Cats clear as the ball was ping ponging. The Toffees win another corner and now Defoe has been booked.
Bialkowski tips over a header by Redmond.
Three minutes of stoppage time.
A rare Sunderland corner.it's headed away and the Toffees counter. Cattermole clears off a poor touch from Lennon.
The Chunk wins a corner for the Toffees.
It finishes 1-1 at Portman Road. Advantage Canaries.
That's it for me. I have to run a quick errand then off to work. It was great chatting. Enjoy thew resat of your day and hope to chat with you tomorrow .
CHEERS!!!
As I leave , MccArthy nearly ties it up as he has a shot come off the post.
