We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I've just spent a blissful half hour putting together my "Book," including the 2017/2018 Leeds United squad with numbers and the fixture list. I'm an officially ready for the season to begin.
Good morning, Bob. Just finished brekkies. I will be watching the match on the computer and the scores on my phone. The late match is Villa vs Brucies's former Tigers. Two matches today that may give us a clue about the promotion race or that may further confuse us.
The Orient Express did not have a great train ride as they lost 2-0 in their first ever Conference match at Sutton United's plastic pitch.
Solihull Moors vs Chester has been postponed. I guess Chester couldn't muster up the funds to ride the Marrakesh Express.
The SPL started today as Celtic thrashed Hearts 4-1. No surprise there.

The speed merchant winger Ayite did really well to get into a dangerous position and whip a cross in that just clipped off the heel of Norwich skipper Russell Martin. Yellows won't be pleased with that.

I'm sure that's true. I used to love the test matches in the summer, because I had nothing else to do. I often would have it on in the background and keep an eye on it throughout the day. Sort of like, "Oh - Boycott still up at bat and has 105 now..."

I know what you mean, mate - we've had a load of projects going this summer and I've only had half an eye on the footer. But once the semester starts up again in a couple of weeks, I should be back to my usual rhythm. For the first time in a couple of years, i'm not teaching on either Tuesday or Wednesday, so I should be able to watch a bit more of the mid-week matches.
