Something a Bit Special
I've just about gotten over the disappointment of that Yorkshire Derby defeat yesterday and am looking forward to a tasty Saturday schedule in the Premiership. We start with two of the most in-form sides - Man Utd hosting Spurs at the Theater of Dreams. At 10am, we've got the current leaders Citeh visiting West Brom and then finally at 12:30, it's the two German chums Jurgen Klopp and David Wagner meeting up for the first time as managers. Join me of all the action this morning, eh?

Morning Bob
I am concerned of how Jose will have them play
I thought things had changed this season but the last few games(Pool, Ben and Hudd) have been dire
Up earlier for United... will they bore me to tears again?
Rebecca Lowe explaining the symbolism of the poppies worn for Remembrance Day now.
No Harry Kane this morning - can United take advantage?
Well done both fans for impeccable silence for Remembrance Day
Away we go
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
Peter Drury and Jim Beglin on the mics this morning - and we're away at OT.
Oh - Lukaku was behind the back there and nearly found Rashford in the middle. Lloris saved well.
ooh, Lukaku almost finds Rashford as he fires it across the box
Serge Aurier wins the silliest haircut of the week award.
United have already attacked more than they did at Anfield
Good morning, Bob and Dave. Here to join you for the big match. Good morning.
I thought he was bleeding the I first saw it
Of course, if Pogpants was out there... it would be a close competition
Nice run by Young into the box...fails to find a teammate
Bugger
Oh - now it's Yashley round the back - his final ball didn't find anyone. Good bright start from United.
Morning David
They are playing with pace and in the right direction
United have done all the attacking up to this point.
A furious pace to this match so far.
Two great tackles by Valencia and one poor pass from Miki Mouse.
Morning, MUR - how are you, mate?
Good News
Manchester United have now officially been world club champions twice following a ruling by FIFA on Friday to recognize their 1999 Intercontinental Cup triumph
Is Harry Kane out injured or was he too nervous to play at OT?
ahhhh...United almost in again
Weak shot by Lukaku
Oh - Lukaku nearly fed it through to Rash - and then he got it back and made a hash of the cross cum shot.
BLOODY HELL!!!! Superb by Rash to get the ball past Dier before a shot was wide by a Chunk
I'm doing well on an unusually cool morning. Thank you for asking.
Aurier with a shot from the parking lot
I remember Le Tis taking a shot like that against Taibi and it wen thru his legs!
That is great nice regarding the 1999 triumph. I would not have known. Thank you for the great news.
Rashford takes a free kick from miles out.. Lloiris has to save it
Decent corner follows... well it beat the first man
LLoris turns around a free kick from Rash that may have been going wide then Lloris fumbles the corner and catches at the second attempt.
I remember that shot from Lloris . It's a suppressed memory
Spurs attack...Dele Alli with a very poor pass
He should not be an England automatic
If Taibi was not the worst keeper to play for United then he sure was up there along with Paddy Roche.
The match has settled a bit after that fast start.
Vertonghen took a Chunk out of his fellow Belgian international teammate.
We get an extra hour of sleep tomorrow due to the time change in Europe unless any of us have early commitments.
United have lost their way again.
COME ONE!!!
Sissy with a long range effort that's basically a pass to De Gea.
Toby has a pop from distance and his teammates aren't best pleased by it as it settles into the side netting.
Then another long range effort that's harmless , this time from Toby and Number One Son is calling Toby anything but for that
Tottenham are now on top...why???
Spurs were incapable of stringing more than two passes together during the opening ten minutes. But now they’re pinging it around in the most pleasant style.
Smalling clears a pass from Sissy for a Spuds corner.
Then the Spuds Number One Son prevents a United counter as if he was tackling Miki Mouse
Come on United
Start attacking again!!!
A long through ball from Yash , but United offside by a Chunk.
Starting to nod off a bit in my easy chair.
If Tom Can't find Mickey Mouse then like us, he can watch United's version.
United are now second best
We are at home!!
I'm still awake in the hard chair.
That woke me up. Twilight made a hash of that cross and then Aurier blasted it over.
De Gea drops a cross after being barged into by Jones then thankfully, Sissy fluffs his lines.
Peter Dreary refers to Jones as the best English defender in the Prem. He must be joking!
Wow, a real drop ball... and then there is a foul
Now Delle Ali being a PUNK again
GROW UP
Yash fouls Sissy when a drop ball was contested then Delle Alli being a typical punk.
I could still be having a kip!!!!
Don't like Miki's decision making quite often
Sissy fouls Herrera.
I was thinking the same. I felt like sleeping in today
Agreed, Dave. It's like watching Miki Rooney.
United's free kick just given away!
Why always go short... what's the point of having a free kick?
It's a kick that is FREE...they can't tackle you...get it in the box!
The Queen of Hearts takes he lad vs Rangers
Bob will not be pleased that Not a Big Club is in the lead vs Barnsley in a South Yorkshire Derby,
Veronghen wins a Spuds corner.
Dele Alli almost netted the header from a corner
It was blocked
Phew
Sissy tackles Miki Mouse on a United counter and thankfully it was a weak effort from Delle Alli . Then Lloris rushes out to gather from the on rushing Rash
United attacking a bit
KEEP IT UP!!
Toby clears for a United corner.
Things picking up again toward the end of the half. I need a nap.
Herrera with a useless effort
He's been pathetic this season
Aurier has a cross deflected for a corner.
Not pleased at all about that Not a Big Club lead.
United fail to clear a corner... Dier has an effort saved by De Gea
De Gea snatches away a shot from Dier after United failed to clear the corner./
Jones sandwiches Delle.
A minute of stoppage time./
Just into one minute of stoppage time
I am not a happy camper
One last chance for United from this free kick - cleared out and that should be that.
Rashford fails to be a the first man.... a waste
HT: Well, a match that started brightly turned into a bit of a damp squib. Not a lot of good football or chances. I'm off to revive myself with a strong cuppa.
0-0
Half time
Not good enough
Jose doesn't know the United way....ENTERTAIN
It's 0-0 at the end of a half that was observed more for persistent fouling than anything else.
Drawing two games in a row is WORSE that winning one and losing one... Jose doesn't seem to care about that
We are off
COME ON UNITED!!
A message for United
ATTACK ATTACK!
The second half is underway
Managerless Rangers tie it up just before half time at Hearts
Off we go for the second half.
Valencia wins a free kick off of Ben Davies.
Useless free kick by Miki....sigh
Miki Mouse burnt the food as his free kick was overcooked by a Chunk
I don't know how a professional football can mishit a free kick like that.
England play in the U17 World Cup Final today against Spain
Another bad pass by Miki....get your finger out!!!
Has any United player played well?
Oh - Yashley fizzes a lovely cross towards Miki but Lloris grabbed it first.
Valencia has had a decent match and Rash would if he received better service.
Yash has been decent too.
COME ON ENGLAND.
Just turned on Only Fools and Horses on the computer from that website... I have to be entertained somehow
Maybe Yashley? United always seem to keep clean sheets.
Try this classic, mate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wQJkfXOoZM
I was thinking just him
oooh, a weak shot spilled...Rash couldn't get the rebound
THEN.... Lukaku couldn't get it from two feet
A couple good minutes from United
COME ON!!
OH!!!! United nearly take the lead as Lloris spilled a shot then Ben Davies dove in to clear before Rash could put away the rebound. Then a pass is just too far ahead for the Chunk to divert into the back of the net.
Brazil take the lead vs Mali in the second half of the third place Final.
I want to see Young swing the ball in the box
That match is available on the Euro Sport which from my website
Great to hear. Thanks for the update.
Corner now. Hits the first man on the post. Sigh....
Rash's first corner very weak but gets another shot at it
Second one was even worse!!
CRAP!!
Professional footballer
Ball standing still
No one is pressuring you
It's a FREE kick
Totally agree, mate. Time for some changes. Son off and Llorente on. Sissoko off and Dembele on.
Cometh the hour cometh the double change from Mo Po. A drenched Number One Son takes a ride down the Llorente Express to be replaced and a real Sissy is replaced by Dembele.
Jose is several minutes late with his substitutions. Will that result in a fine?
Another United corner
Miki taking this one
Same result.. BLOODY HELL
A corner from Miki Mouse is out by the first man for another.
oooh, Valencia hits it just over
Just take a bit off it and hit the target
Llorente heads out the next corner from Miki Mouse and Valencia blasts over.
Miki off for Lingard
Lindy on for Miki Mouse.
lashing down with rain
The rain is really swirling. Well, this is Manchester,
If it stays like this.... 2 points out of 9.... dropping out of the title race form
Rangers have thrown some cards in the discard pile as they have come from behind to lead at the Jack of Hearts,.
I remember people saying at the beginning of the season when United were winning every match 4-0 that they hadn't played anyone big yet. These matches are the test of that. 0-0 against Liverpool and now it appears 0-0 against Spurs. They're not getting turned over by teams but they're not beating the top four sides either.
Citeh appear to be the favorites to win the title.
They aren't trying to win
Jose is playing not to lose
The math doesn't work
Wining is 3 times better than drawing!
Rash off for Martial
Rash is karate chopped off the pitch
Oh - Martial tried the acrobatic. Completely mistimed his effort though.
Young just misses Lukaku in the box
Martial tries an overhead
Under 20 to go
Agreed, Dave. it's really frustrating to watch
Barnsley ties it up at Hillsborough.
Still not making Lloris work
I won't be able to listen Jose after the match
He'll be happy
Luk with a shot...saved or wide?
Valencia gets booked for "simulation."
Great attack by United , but the ball in the box by the Chunk found nobody then Valencia booked for diving.
You're right, UWS. I was wondering last night how Leeds are as high as they are in the table, given that we've lost so many matches recently. The answer is that we've won a load of them. We've won seven matches and haven't drawn many at all. So even if we've lost a few, we've racked up 21 points through those.
Eriksen with a long range effort that lands in Row H.
Rangers now lead 1-3 at the Queen of Hearts after trailing early on. That managerial change sure helped.
Draws are overrated
Ali almost in there!
Oh - Dele Alli snuck in there and should have scored.
PHEW!!!! A nice chipped pass from Eriksen is sandwiched just wide by Delle Sandwich past the on rushing De Gea.
The Spuds have their fair share of draws , but most of theirs are at Wembley/
Oh - off the post from Lukaku!
oooh, Lukaku with a great header... of the Sunday roast
OH!!!!A header by the Chunk is off the post. United nearly took a surprise lead. Great run and cross by Lindy
Jim Beglin agrees with us about a draw not being good enough for United.
Aurier offside off a nice Spuds attack.
GOAL! Kung Fu wins it!!!
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! THEN UNITED KARATE CHOP THEIR WAY TO THE LEAD.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MARTIAL SCORES FOR UNITED INSIDE THE LAST TEN MINUTES!!
Route 1 from United - they all count.
Weak effort really. He hit into the ground first
A long free kick from De Gea off the offside decision was headed on by the Chunk and a great finish past fellow French teammate, Lloris has resulted in United karate chopping their way to a late lead.
Dele Alli did leave his foot in there
Young was acting too... hate it
Brazil go two up vs Mali really late in the Third Place match
Just blow up ref
No need to play any added time
No need to play the full ninety in fact
Lingard with a break... hopeless effort!!
Oh - Lindy was away there but he blasted well over.
3 added minutes
Come on United... don't concede
YIKES!!!! Lindy was off to the races on a counter off a Spuds free kick and blasted halfway to the Potteries with just Lloris to beat as we enter a triplet of minutes of stoppage time.
Don't just sit back!
Jones could have cleared better than that!!
Straight into the stands
United rush the throw in but Lingered didn't win the ball
United going to to waste more time
This subbing should be banned!
Darmian on for Young
Darmian on for Yash so that Jose can run time off the clock.
Free kick to United
Smalling flopped
United still haven't concede at home all season
Jose looks like a drowned rat but he'll be happy in a few minutes.
3 minutes up
That is it!!
United win
I am happy but I want us to play better
Up next..... a trip to Chelsea
It's over as United record a great 1-0 win over the Spuds thanks to a late winner that was karate chopped in. A great win , Kane or no Kane.
Off for walkies
I'll be back for the 3 o'clockers
Off to take Sparky walkies on an unusually cool morning.
So, United are back to within two points of their cross town rivals. Great win for United. Keep a clean sheet and you always have a chance to nick a win.
United win 1-0.
I'm back from a lovely shower to follow the 10am kickoffs. I'll be watching the WBA v. Citeh match on NBC Sports. Here is the team news out of the Hawthorns:
West Brom (5-3-2) Foster; Nyom, McAuley, Hegazi, Evans, Gibbs; Livermore, Krychowiak, Barry; Rodriguez, Rondon.
Substitutes: Myhill, Chadli, Brunt, Phillips, McClean, Yacob, Robson-Kanu.
Manchester City (4-1-2-3) Ederson; Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Delph; Fernandinho; De Bruyne, D Silva; B Silva, Jesus, Sane.
Substitutes: Bravo, Mangala, Danilo, Sterling, Gundogan, Toure, Aguero.
Back from walkies on our coldest and windiest morning in a while.
I am back from walkies
Not sure which I am going to watch
Probably the match at Anfield... WBA will be ripped apart by Citeh
A moment's silence for Remembrance Day
We are off at Anfield
First time they have met since 1972... didn't do the Terriers any harm last week!!
They're off from the Hawthorns and a few seconds later from Anfield.
And we're away at the Hawthorns.
Love to see a Town win today and they would overtake Liverpool in the table
I hesitate to say it in this company, but I'm entertained by Citeh this season. They play good stuff.
Northants one up at the half vs the Tangerines
Actually, that is correct, Bob. Citeh have been quick off the mark, slicing opponents apart.
I agree with you Bob
That's why I am so annoyed when United don't attack.... they should
Rondon had a chance to get in there but Stones stood up well to him.
The Baggies block several Citeh shots.
Argyle take the lead vs Rochdale while the Gils do the same at Rotherham.
Tranny takes the lead vs Halifax as do Wrexham vs the Orient Express.
Scunny take the lead at Oldham
No goals of yet in the Premiership.
GOAL! I spoke to soon. Sane puts Citeh 0-1 up.
