Jose and Arsene Meet for the Last Time!!
So, this is the last time Arsene Wenger takes on Manchester United. He used to be the #1 advisory to everyone at Old Trafford. How things have changed. Jose and Arsene have had their run ins as well and they don't particularly like each other! Will the pizzas fly at Old Trafford.
There is the boring City walloping of West Ham as our curtain raiser.

Good morning, Dave. Here to join you for the late season doubleheader.
Celtic about to clinch the SPL in the best way possible by thrashing Rangers 5-0 in the Old Firm Derby. Does Stevie G really want the Rangers job. Is it worth it?
Allegri the favorite to take over the Gunners?
August 23, 1986....almost 31 1/2 years ago... the last time Manchester United and Arsenal played a match without SAF or AW on the sidelines!!
Arsenal beat United 1-0 at Highbury on the opening day of the season
George Graham's side beat Ron Atkinson's side 1-0 with Charlie Nicholas scoring a late winner
Morning, chaps - thanks for getting us going this morning. Great image, UWS - it's the end of an era. Hope that Wenger goes out with a bang today.
NO WE DON'T!!
Morning Boys
Good morning, Bob and Dave. I agree with Dave
I don't mean an Arsenal win; I mean fireworks between Wenger and Mourinho!
Thank God Derek Rae is on the mic... so we don't have to listen to Arlo White go gaga over City
Teams gathering in the tunnel now at the London Stadium:
West Ham: Adrian, Rice, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Zabaleta, Kouyate, Noble, Evra, Fernandes, Lanzini, Arnautovic. Subs: Carroll, Hugill, Hernandez, Joao Mario, Masuaku, Cullen, Trott.
Man City: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Delph, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Sane, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling. Subs: Bravo, Danilo, Bernardo Silva, Mendy, Toure, Nmecha, Foden.
Referee: Neil Swarbrick
The team that I think is in trouble is the Terriers. The are on 35 points, poor goal difference. Last three matches are Citeh and the Gunners at home and away to Chelsea. Hard to see them getting anything out of those matches. If Saints and Swans do then they may not make it across the finish line.
Man City going to be given another guard of honor
City wearing their regular kit...surprising because of the same color in the West Ham shoulders.... I am all for it though
Why a guard of honor. I thought that was just the first match after clinching the title. Is this for the remainder of the season?
I was going to say the same think MUR... I think they will stay on 35 points... one win by Southampton and they will over take them
Agree with you about the kit, but not the additional guard of honor.
The players are out at London Stadium. Bubbles are being blown. West Ham are generously offering City a guard of honor.
Saints away to the Toffees in the late match on Saturday then that big match at the Liberty before facing Citeh on the final day. Will the Saints get anything. Two draws probably won't be enough
And we're underway at the London Stadium. Bubbles floating about the pitch.
A minute in to the match at The London Stadium
I agree, MUR. The Saints need a win against Swansea on Tuesday. A point isn't enough, as they probably won't get anything out of the other match.
The Hammers also on 35 points, but I think they will do just enough to stay up.
Agreed. They won't get anything today or against you lot. But a win against the Toffees on the last day should be enough.
Nasty challenge from Noble on Ginger. Could easily have been a yellow if it hadn't been so early.
Passing fancy! Then KDB marked by a less than Noble challenge
First real threat of the match by Citeh . Sterling passed to Walker, but his pass across the box was not diverted in.
Stoke have a chance, in my view. They've got Palace at home next weekend and Swansea away on the last day. A win yesterday would have given them more of a chance but if they were to win both and end up on 36 points, they might survive.
Thanks, Bob. Hopefully a win at The London Stadium will clinch second place for us.
That's true, Bob, but that's their only chance of survival. Both matches are must win matches.,
Had to miss the first ten minutes
What did I miss?
GOAL! Sane tries a pop from distance and it flies in off a deflection!
One nil
Sane with the goal!!
Seemed pretty weak....a header by Evra!!
So, Moyes' Plan A hasn't worked. What's his Plan B? I assume that he started with merely Marco up front to see if his lot could nick a point from Citeh. Hasn't worked. Now they're going to need goals. I would love to see a manager make an early change to indicate that they're plan from the outset hadn't worked. Bet you he won't though.
GOAL!!! LONG RANGE EFFORT FROM SANE TAKES A WICKED DEFLECTION OFF OF EVRA, WRONG FOOTING ADRIAN. WILL IT BE CREDITED AS AN OG?
This one has settled into a predictable pattern, with West Ham dropping deep. That's pathetic to see from a home side. Why not have a go?
Citeh one goal away from a century of Prem goals for the season.
A United win today would wrap up a CL place.... will Chelsea sneak in?
Such a big match next weekend when Liverpool visit the Bridge
Nice interchange between Marco and Lanzini there creates the first decent chance for the Hammers. Now they've got a free kick.
Off to empty dishwasher
First Hammers threat of the match as Kyle Walker concedes a free kick after Ederson pushed away a pass from Arnautovic.
If that goal is credited to Sane, it'll be his 10th of the season. A very good strike rate for a player who doesn't always start. Citeh have four players on double figures.
Not sure if the Nocito Curse applies in that case. Perhaps a player gets sent off when you're emptying the dishwasher, mate?
Oh - Sterling should have hit the target there when the ball came to him. Shanked his shot wide right.
It didn't apply to Yours Truly. Sunshine's pellets were soaking. Just finished fixing his brekkies.
Derek Rae namechecks the West Ham Academy. Does it still exist? I can't see a single player in the squad today that is an Academy player.
Citeh with a tough finish to the season! Swans , last week, at The London Stadium today, host the Terriers and Seagulls then a trip to St. Mary's Such a tough end to the season!
Mark Noble and Declan Rice are the only players that come to mind. Good point. They used to have a fair number.
LOL! Nice one, MUR!
One Southampton win and they will be above West Ham and Huddersfield!
West Ham aren't safe.
Of course, United visit the London Stadium...they may be lucky to get the crappy United playing that day
The Foxes looking set to replace another manager according to the rumor mill.
That's a fair point, UWS. Hammers away to the Foxes and home to the Toffees. I think they will get something from at least one of the matches.
Two....off another West Ham player knocking it in
100 up for City
All of the guys go so gaga over City
"What a ball"
You see them every week
Spot on, MUR. Noble and Rice are West Ham products.
Oh dear, just as I type that, Rice sticks one in his own net, WHU Academy style.
0-2
They are pretty good, don't think, UWS?
GOAL !!! OG BY DECLAN RICE WHICH THE 100TH CITEH GOAL OF THE SEASON OFF A FIZZING PASS FROM KDB. ADRIAN SLIDE TACKLED STERLING THEN STERLING HAD A SHOT BLOCKED BY OGBONNA, SANE PASSED TO KDB , WHOSE PASS CAME OFF THE UNFORTUNATE RICE.
So much for those Academy grads! Hard to blame Rice , who found that pass too hot to handle.
I do think they are good but I think everyone is going over the top about them
Play stopped as there's an injured Coyote on the pitch!
Citeh four goals short of the Prem record while the Hammers treating that injured Coyote.
Oh - terrible mistake by Cresswell let Jesus and then Sane in there. Didn't quite get a shot off.
OH!!! Sane should have put Citeh three up as he had just Adrian to beat after that poor back pass from Declan Rice.
Oh - nice headed clearance by Ederson as Marco was threatening.
Davie Moyes ready for the next match.
Otamendi chops down Lanzini and picks up the game's first yellow card.
AN Argie clash as Otamendi booked for a cynical trip on his compatriot, Lanzini.
Just turned it over to F1 on ESPN for the ending... interesting race
Apparently NBC aren't showing it any more
Oh - for the umpteenth time now, a dangerous backpass is played back to Ederson. He makes a hash of it this time and Marco nets it. I think that's a good goal.
Arnautovic thought he had scored for the Hammers , but was called for a foul on Ederson. There didn't seem too much wrong with that challenge. Ederson lucky to get away with being caught in possession.
Citeh appear to be taking the foot off the gas now, allowing the Hammers in.
Gundogan called for a foul on Gelson Fernandes just outside the Citeh box.
Hammers appear unlucky not to be rewarded with a penalty there as the foul occurred just inside the box.
oooh, The hammers get a goal back....nice free kick
GOAL! Cresswell nets the free kick! That was coming!
1-2!
GOAL !!! THE HAMMERS PULL ONE BACK AS A CURLING FREE KICK FROM CRESSWELL BEATS EDERSON AT THE NEAR POST. GAME ON.
Not sure why Ederson didn't fully extend himself and save that one. It was in the corner, but he should have been abel to tip it around.
Citeh come right back and Ginger fires one in from distance. Adrian behind it.
Perhaps the Hammers should have had a penalty, but it didn't matter as Cresswell scored from the free kick
There is no reason why the stadium could be a good home
They have formed the stadium into a football stadium
Agreed, Bob. Citeh pay for taking their foot off the gas.
I think that's how the modern stadiums are primarily being built.
They should have never left Upton Park, in my view. These clubs are getting too big for their britches.
A quartet of stoppage time minutes
Another pet peeve I have about modern football is having the goalkeeper having to be George Best these days
How about concentrating on saving shots
The keeper should be an outlet for a teammate not a top option
Ginger fires one in again from distance. Not too far away with the curler.
Long Citeh build up and a long range curler from KDB is not too far off./
Adrian does well to push away a powerful shot from Sterling.
Citeh are showing now that, if they can be arsed, they could put another 6-8 goals past West Ham.
I agree they shouldn't have left Upton Park...this stadium is not close enough to their old home either. At least Arsenal moved a short distance. Spurs moved a little bit to the left as Mrs Richards would have wanted
They want to be 21st century clubs and are losing their identity in the process.
Useless effort from the keep for the goal... but he's good with his feet
Another case of Argie fouling Argie as it's Otamendi on Lanzini again
Half-time: The scoreline flatters the Hammers right now, as they weren't really in this one and should be 3 or 4 goals down given the pattern of play.
Half time... this is a game
Off to the shower
It's the end of an entertaining first half where the Hammers pulled one back to make it interesting, trailing Citeh 1-2 at the half due to a pair of lucky deflections.
The second half is underway from The London Stdium
City threaten within 18 seconds, Zabaleta in very sharply to stop Gundogan getting a clear shot on goal from Sterling’s cutback.
GOAL! Gabby Jesus raps home Citeh's third goal. Gabby was injured in the process of scoring.
1-3!
GOAL !!!JESUS PUTS CITEH 1-3 AHEAD. JESUS PLAYED STERLING DOWN THE RIGHT AS HE GOT BEHIND CRESSWELL AND HIS PASS WAS TAPPED IN AT THE FAR POST BY JESUS.
Surely time for Carroll, or Hernandez? Or even Hugill?
Raheem Sterling goes to ground. Dead cert penalty. What on earth is the referee thinking?
OH!!! KDB has a shot come off the stanchion off a pass from Sterling after a superb long ball from Fernadinho.
I am back from a shower... it's all over
Sides announced from OT
Agreed. with both statements, Bob. Damage limitation for the Hammers, or still a chance of getting something from this match?
Undeterred, Citeh keep coming. They're not letting up at all in this half.
5Live all over the United/Arsenal rivalry
Like for like as Danilo is on for Kyle Walker.
The hour mark comes. Kyle Walker off and Danilo comes on. But it's really WHU who need a change, surely.
Sterling with his requisite missed sitter as a nice slide rules pass found him and with just Adrian to beat, shot against him.
Hope the match from OT lives up to expectations.
UNITED

Valencia
Lindelof
Smalling

A triple substitution from Moyes. Joao Mario on for Gelson Fernandes , Chicha on for Lanzini, and Masuaku on for Evra. No more rolls of the dice for Davie Moyes.
In the United Review... there is a feature... SIR ALEX ON ARSENE
This is Wenger's 60th and final time taking on the Red Devils
Citeh tie their club record with 102 Prem goals . A really simple goal as Fernadinho tackled Lanzini, played the ball wide right to Sterling and the return pass found him all alone from 12 yard out to pick his spot for an easy finish.
Not much hype about the rivalry between Jose and Arsene. Is it still a rivalry? Jose says he wants to be friends.
This one is over. Interesting 5live stuff on United/Arsenal so I am going to try and take Shad for a walk..if he wants to in the rain
Yaya on for Gundogan
This is precisely how I predicted this one. The only difference is that I didn't think that Citeh would take the foot off the gas.
Cheers, UWS. This one sure is. Look forward to chatting with you for the late match
Cheerio, UWS - enjoy your walkies.
Nearly a fifth a scramble as a close range effort from Fernandinho was blocked.
Not a lot going on out there save for keepball from Citeh.
Both teams would probably take the final whistle.
The final substitution of the match and an academy product makes his Prem debut as Jesus is off and replaced by Nmecha, an England under 19 international.
Sterling with a shot from the edge of the box not too far off.
A fair number of empty seats as this one has been done and dusted for a while.
So, as it stands now, who do you think is going down?
The Coyote called for a foul on Sane in the D
I'm picking the Potters, Baggies , and the last spot seems to be between the Saints and Terriers. Saints have a superior goal difference.
Into stoppage time.A trio of that
Off to take Sparky walkies. Will be back for the late one.
I'd have to go Swans, Potters and Baggies. West Ham well beaten today but should just about get there with a point against Leicester and a win on the last day vs. Everton.
I hope United play well and win
I want them to attack and get goals
A City fan, an ex-Gunner and an ex Blue/Rover on the mic
United will be the unfavored today
Wonder why Miki hasn't been playing for Arsenal? Has he been hurt?
Didn't play vs Atletico Madrid
I was always pleased this match came in between the two legs
I was in the loo
5Live saying hugging is going on in the tunnel
Not good by NBC... on a commercial
Are you Fox in disguise?
SAF getting a hug apparently
NOT GOOD NBC
Finally they are showing it
SAF gives Arsene a gift
Back from walkies and ready for the last ever visit to OT for Arsene and the last ever Jose/Arsene meeting and it looks to be a friendly greeting
"A magnificent moment'...why were you on commercial
NOT GOOD
We are off!
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
A rare photo with Arsene, SAFDC, and Arsene together all smiles.
They're off from a sunny OT
Welcome back, lads. I'm here after a late brekkies to enjoy the big one. Are you feeling confident?
All lovey dovey between Jose and Arsene.
Never confident with this side
Still upset with NBC for missing the sides coming out
What has happened to McTom... he played all the time and now hasn't played forever
Thanks, Bob. Hope you had a great brekkies. Feeling fairly confident as the Gunners haven't traveled well this season, especially against the big clubs.
Too much possession from United in their own half
Does he have a case of food poisoning?
Alexis stamped on his foot by old mate, Xakha Khan
Pogba with a chance... duffed it
Big chance... bugger
He probably didn't expect a deflected shot to land practically in his lap.
Poor pass from Miki. Sound familiar?
Tom just told me about some fan or club member from somewhere like Greece that was banned from the stadium for a year
He bought a crane and parked it next to the stadium and watches games from there
Decent cross by Arsenal... no one ran to the ball. Both players in the box just stood still at the top of the box
I don't think it has been a bright start from either
How is this for a stat? The same number of goals in the early match as all the televised matches combined yesterday.
Corner won by Lukaku... danger gone then!!
Kolasinac tackles the Chunk for a United corner.
Cleared....no one attacks the ball!!
Lingard gets the ball...hopeless cross.... then another one
A LOST ART
Could this be a 0-0? Will it depend upon the ref, our Friend.
Bit of a slow start to this one.
A lot of the changes in the English game can be traced back to Arsene. Could be an interesting discussion
Will De Gea be as busy as he was at the EM in December?
Sunderland manager Cookie Coleman has been SACKED
This should be an easy win for United, as their fielding a full strength side against a make-shift Arsenal side. The Gunners are clearly prioritizing that return match in Madrid on Thursday.
No surprise there. Sunderland have been a disaster this season. How does Fred feel about it all?
Why isn't Sanchez going all out against his old mates?
This match is just too damn slow
The Arsenal kids are certainly having a go. Nelson has a pop from distance. Twilight has no problem dealing with it.
GOAL! Pogba stabs home after The Chunk hits the post.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! POGBA GIVES UNITED THE LEAD.
YES!
Pogba nets the rebound after Sanchez hits the woodwork
Sanchez's effort was saved by Bellerin
Bellerin did so well to save the Alexis header onto the post. But it was futile as Pogpants was following up.
Back to Coleman
How his star has fallen
Euro semi... relegation to third tier!
Why did he take over there anyway...there were plenty of different options
It all started with a tackle by Valencia on Admiral Nelson. The ball broke to Lindy, who passed to Pogba. A cross was headed by Alexis from close range on to the post and Pogba smashed in from close range
That's funny!!
United fans singing to Wenger... WE WANT YOU TO STAY!!
Classic
Old Trafford fans now roasting Wenger with a bit of the old Beach Boys.
Agreed. Fred was pleased because he said Coleman didn't cut the mustard. Now which top club will take a chance on him?
Miki goes just wide!!
OH!!! Miki just wide on his return to OT off a pass from Maitland-Niles.
Coming to end of the season... Kane to score a boat load in his last few games like last season!!
Didn't he score like 8 in last three games last season?
Four goals at Wembley tomorrow?
With Arsene , leaving , what happens to the Gunners Academy ?
He did and he just may against a slumping Hornets side.
I nominate Fred for the Sunderland job. He could get paid in kibbles and bits. ;-)
Come on United... get a second!!
The Gunners to lose half a dozen consecutive top flight matches for the first time since 1956?
Kane is five back on Salah, who shows no sign of slowing down.
Nice roasting of Wenger.
LOL, Bob. He probably just might accept that offer. If the Black Cats don't finish top of L1 it would be the lowest finish in the club's history
Xakha Khan with his requisite booking after fouling Lindy.
I don't like the commentators these days
They just talk about everything as if they are so smart and tactical.
Alexis offside after the free kick from Pogba deflected off the wall.
The away fans enjoyed that rubbish free kick from Alexis.
