We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I've had a power morning of errands, so I'm just settling in to enjoy the Barnsley v. Fulham match on the Plus now.
This is the first look at newly-relegated Fulham, who were tragic in the Premiership last season and who haven't done a lot of business over the summer, apart from settling the contracts of Cairney and Mitrovic.
Barnsley on the other hand have been doing loads of wheeling and dealing over the summer. They're a new look side.
First goal in the Championship this afternoon goes to Hull City who are away to another recently relegated side, Swansea.
Scottie Parker looks a bit like a mannequin from Top Shop.
Good morning , Bob. Back from taking Elizabeth to market days and running a few errands myself.
After some technichal difficulties, was finally able to load Barnsley vs Fulham on Plus and watching Gladbach vs Chelsea on ESPN News. Gladbach one up early doors and Barnsley one up in the second half
Barnsley are 1-0 up now in the second half, and Fulham are having a rude reintroduction to the Championship.
Villa surprisingly leading Leipzig 3-1. Not sure how much we can read into that

Chelsea were caught on the break. A shot from Jorginho was blocked and Gladbach countered. A through ball found Hoffmann, who finished easily past the Chelsea Kept
Gladbach two up at the half despite Chelsea dominating and having several clear cut chances.
It's over and Barnsley start their campaign with a shock 1-0 win vs the Cottagers
Penalty Chelsea. Kovacic went on a solo run , but the replay shows it was a dive.
Tammy Abraham scores from the spot , sending Jan Sommer the wrong way. Chelsea didn't' deserve the penalty, but deserve the goal after forcing about eight world class saves from Sommer this match

Chelsea have come from two down to make it Desmond. The second goal also a penalty. Azpi was tripped in the box and Ross Barkley , scored , sending Jan Sommer the wrong way
BUGGER! Milan ties it up with a long range curlier from Suso
United were sloppy , cheaply conceding possession deep in their own half and several passes later , Milan tied it up
A very interesting day in the Championship. Wins for Evil Millwall, Brum, Barnsley, WBA, Swansea, QPR, Charlton, Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday, who are top of the pops after a 3-1 win over Reading.
Come on, Leeds - let's get off to a good start at Ashton Gate tomorrow!
