We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!

Yesterday, England became the first country to be World Champions in Football, Rugby and Cricket after yesterday's thrilling win against New Zealand! If you haven't seen the highlights you should take look. NZ scored 241 and England replied with 241. So, they went to a Super Over.... a penalty shoot out of sort. England scored 15 in their one over and NZ scored 15. England won on tie breaker of hitting more boundaries.... SO EXCITING

No team that can win the Cricket World Cup have teams that will ever win the Football World Cup!

Fantastic! In the end, I didn't watch any of the Cricket World Cup as I couldn't figure out how to access it. But hats off to the England side.
