Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

CONCACAF Gold Cup!

If the Nations League, Women's World Cup, Copa America and MLS weren't enough football for you this summer, today sees the start of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. I have to admit that, since I'm delinquent with watching MLS, I've lost track of Greg Berhalter's US team, so I'm looking forward to seeing these guys play. The proceedings begin tonight with the double header featuring Canada and Mexico at the Rose Bowl. The US begin on Tuesday night against Guyana.

You can find the full schedule of matches here:

Thanks for posting the schedule. I have watched a few Women's World Cup matches, but haven't planned on watching Copa America or the Gold Cup. Will resume watching real footie in August, but will be around if anyone wants to blog a match.

The two warm-ups to the Gold Cup were abject. I'm looking forward to seeing if Berhalter has learned a lesson from them. It's really alarming when you see Tim Ream and Omar Gonzales's name in the squad. That's job 1 for Berhalter to fix. I'd like to see him figure out how not to destroy Will Trapp too who was so promising, but paired with Rondon has also backslide.
