Footie in Casa Nocito
Happy Saturday, everyone! I'm currently enjoying the hospitality of the Nocito family after a conference trip to Saratoga Springs earlier this week. And we've got some good stuff to watch this morning. It all starts with Everton v. West Ham in a moment. That's followed by the usual 10am EST kickoffs, including Spurs v. Watford on NBC Sports and Leeds v. Birmingham in my heart. Finally, it's high-flying Palace against City in the late one on NBC.
Join me for all the fun this morning, won't you?

Morning, MUR - wish you were here, too, mate. We're all having a marvelous time. Spent much of Friday night watching the Leeds documentary on Amazon Prime.
Morning David
Enjoying the Prof Dahlgren visit!
Really enjoyed watching a couple of great shows on Amazon Prime.
A six part show on Leeds. It was behind the scenes from last season
We also watched a documentary on Bobby Moore
The Toffees vs the Hammers is underway from Goodison with the Toffees surprisingly in the drop zone
Good morning, Bob and Dave. Wish I was there. That sounds like a great documentary
The Toffees certainly need a big win today. Marco Silva is hanging on for dear life.
Well, it didn't have a happy ending....
A Brazi challenge as Rich Arlison fouls Felipe Anderson just outside the Toffees box
The free kick from Lanzini is well wide
Lanzini fizzes an early free kick well wide of Pickers' goal.
Why was it an unhappy ending?
Marco Silva's job rightly in jeopardy as the Toffees should be challenging for the to six, not being in the drop zone
Rugby World Cup update
England walloped the Wallabies this morning in the first quarter final
They took a lead of 17-9 at half time and then put their foot down and won 40-16
Looks like they will take on the might All Blacks in the semi
They are 22-0 up at half time over Ireland
Yanks extend the series and go back to Houston
Arthur Twosheds won the tidily-wink championship
Nocito Sportscenter is over
Dioup clears for a Toffees corner after Rich Arlison had a shot blocked
uhhh....Leeds didn't go up
Bobby Moore died
Great update regarding the Tiddly Winks Championship
Definitely a sad ending. I didn't read carefully and thought it was from last season. Very sad indeed.
The Toffees responding to being in the drop zone with early pressure on the Hammers. Roberto forced to make a good save
The Toffees win another corner
He was the second seed.
He beat top seeded Kevin Phillips Bong in the Final
Bob, were you disappointed with his performance?
A complete waste as a Toffees foul is called off their corner
I remember Kevin Bong- Phillips really well.
Two of Bob's favorite teams played a Championship match yesterday. Cardiff vs Not a Big Club finished 1-1
Barca one up at Eibar and a French combo as Lenglet assisted Griezmann. Barca top ahead of Real's match at Mallorca this afternoon, which is not supposed to be a vacation.
Not at all....as I always say, "Climb every mountain, forward every stream...(All Together Now!)...."
Huddersfield take the lead at Ewood
The Championship match being played is a War of the Roses as Blackburn hosts the Terriers. The 10 AM match on Plus is Barnsley vs the Swans
All Blacks extend their lead to 29 zip
Is there a Silva lining for the Toffees or is Marco about to walk the plank?
Wow...how did he score that!!!
GOAL! Bernard opens the scoring for the Toffees!
GOAL !!BERNARD GIVES THE TOFFEES THE LEAD
Everton jump over United!
Marvelous solo effort there from Bernard but how did he squeeze that past Roberto at the near post. Poor effort from the Hammers keeper.
It all started with a Toffees throw in their half. Michael Keane passed to Iwobi , who passed to Andre Gomes Addams. He put rough Bernard , who went past Dioup then beat Roberto at the near post from a really acute angle
Richie blows his chance after a nice move
Richarlison wins a Toffees corner off of Dioup
Strange as this may seem, that goal moves the Toffees up to 12th. So much for fighting relegation
1-1 at Ewood
The Saints replace the Toffees in the drop zone. Did anyone pick Saints to go down?
Richie hits the foot of the pas
OH!!! Rich Arlison has a shot come off the outside of the post and out for a goal kick as Roberto was nearly beaten at the near post again
Not a single person.
Just a reminder that my blogging buddy is joining us as well.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7587917/Marcelo-Bielsa-rocks-Leeds-100-year-celebration-black-tie-gala-TRACKSUIT-trainers.html
Theo has a go from distance. Roberto smothers.
Saints away to Wolves at 10 AM . Ralphie may find his team in the drop zone at the end of the day. Not exactly a Christmas Story
Poor form from Marcelo. But all is forgiven if he brings us a win against the Brummies today.
Thanks for the link. I will check it out
A win at Deepdale at Tuesday would be great as well.
Masuaku has a bloody nose after that clash with Ben Davies.
Play stops as Massouku is down with a schnoz bleed.
Indeed it would. After we get through the next three matches this week, with a big Yorkshire Derby with Not a Big Club next weekend, our schedule gets a bit lighter.
Wonder if Dave is singing that 80's hit, " The Final Countdown."
I think that match against your Yorkshire rivals is on Plus
https://www.90min.com/posts/6478005-leeds-united-unveil-striking-new-centenary-kit-on-club-s-100-year-anniversary
Decent effort there from Fornas, well handled by Pickers.
Bob surely must be familiar with my blogging buddy.
I'm having one of those kits!
Dave is on a roll with the anoraking this morning. It must be the LOB brekkies.
Fred's size is a Preemie onesie.
Blackburn take the lead
Bradley Dack and Lewis Holtby combined for both Blackburn goals . Blackburn up to 12th while The Terriers replace the Reading Railroad in the drop zone with a goal difference one less than that of the Railroaders
An LOB blogging trio of stoppage time minutes
Barca goes two up at Eibar as Griezmann assists Messi for the second goal
Yamolenko is warming up now - I'm surprised that he didn't start.
Tom Davies booked for delay of game, kicking the ball away
The Toffees are one up at the half in a must win game.
HT
Everton have a deserved lead at half
Blackburn leads the Terriers 2-1 at the half.
Half-time and the Toffees are happy to go in 1-0 up.
Manuel Pellegrini has seen enough and Andriy Yarmolenko is on for the second half for the Hammers.
Richarlison has the ball in the net but he's flagged off.
Richarlison goes down holding his face after wearing the point of Diop’s elbow. It was accidental.
Hammers go close
West Ham have been slightly better in attack since the break, with Fornals seeing a lot of the ball. He’s done bugger all with it, but it’s the taking part that counts.
Back from walkies and looks like I didn't miss much
The announcer said Yarmalenko was being rested after his exertions with the Ukraine in Euro qualifying. Nap time is well over.
Barca three up at Eibar with Messi assisting Suarez. Barca top ahead of Real's match at Mallorca.
Second Hammers substitution as Jack Wilshire is on for Pablo Fornals
The Terriers tie it up at Ewood Park to make it Desmond
OH! A rocket from Theo crashes off the corner of the post and the bar. Could have put the Toffees two up.
Andre Gomes Addams trips Lanzini just outside the Toffees box
Free kick from Yarmalenko straight to Pickers, who picked it out of the air
Ogbonna called for a mistimed tackle on Bernard
For some reason, I thought that Flappianski was still the #1 at West Ham. Who is this "Roberto" chap in goal for them. I"ve never hear of him.
I've just looked him up - he came from Espanyol.
A complete and utter waste as offside is called off the free kick from Digne
I think Flappy is out injured. Roberto is a 33 year old , who played his entire career in Spain prior to moving to the Hammers in the Summer.
Declan Rice booked for a foul from behind on Theo.
With that injury to Flappy, David Martin , the son of Hammers legend, Alvin , is currently the backup keeper. He was the backup keeper at local rivals, Evil Millwall.
Just checked. Flappy out with a hip injury until early January
Thanks for the info, MUR - I can always count on you for the deep dive.
The final roll of the dice from Manny P and a Prem debut for Ajeti as he comes on for the very experienced Mark Noble
Cheers, mate. True knowledge is found in the depths.
Bernard wins a corner off of Ryan Fredricks off a tricky run
Haller called for Digne in on his compatriot.
OH!!!!! Iwoibi put through and should have put the Toffees two up with just the keeper to beat, but shot straight at Roberto
Oh - great save from Roberto at the feet of iwobi.
And then Mina is flagged off when he nods home.
OH!!!!! Iwoibi put through and should have put the Toffees two up with just the keeper to beat, but shot straight at Roberto
Iwobi should have doubled the Toffee's lead
Well saved but still should have buried it
Diop fouls Rich Arlison and is booked for cumulative fouls.
An early lunch for Bob as he''s caught in the middle of a Goldy sandwich
Oh - another save by Roberto. He didn't know much about it.
Rich Arlison lays a pne two with Theoi then his pass into the box is cleared away by Diop just a few feet in front of the goal
Theo with a shot into the Gladys street end. Was a lot like Gladys with that poor finishing.
Massouku wins a corner off of Sidibe off a nice pass from Yarmalenko
Oh - mad scramble in the Everton box now. Pickers did well.
Corner from Lanzini headed down and Pickers makes a save from point blank range
Another corner leads to another for the Hammers
Rich Arlison down injured as he is several times a match
A substitution for Marco Silva as Moise Kean on for Theo .
Will a Toffees win provide them with a Silva lining?
The final roll of the dice from Marco Silva as Siggy is on for Iwobi.
OH! A long range rocket from Siggy is athletically saved by Roberto
No stoppage time substitutions to ruin UWS's day.
Andre Gomes Addams booked for a foul on Haller.
A Barber Shop Quartet of stoppage time minutes
Roberto with a season high nine saves. He's more than made up with the error for the goal
GOAL !!!SIGGY PUTS THE TOFFEES TWO UP WITH A BRILLIANT FINISH IN THE UPPER 90 FROM 25 YARDS OUT. THAT SEALS THE POINTS FOR THE TOFFEES.
A stoppage time substitution to ruin UWS's day as Mason Holgate is on for Jerry Minor on the final roll of the dice from Marco Silva
It's over at Goodison as the Toffees defeat thew Hammers 2-0
Blackburn vs the Terriers finished Desmond
We didn't comment at the end of the match... busy eating breakie
Way hay....Soccer Saturday has started
Jeff is still missing
Nearly a year ago was the helicopter crash at the King Power!
This is the closest home game to the actual date
I'm back after a scrumptious brekkies courtesy of Kathy for the 10 am matches.
Have Soccer Saturday up and running thanks to Dave
WOW ! That will be a somber occasion at the KP.
Me too!
They're off from the Tater Tot
We are off down the Lane
What was on the menu this morning?
Scrambled eggs, bacon, English toasting bread and Peach coffee cake
The Prem emphasizing no racism. By the way, Bulgaria's manager and the entire board of their football union resigned.
Welbeck is down hurt!
Why isn't Watford wearing their colors??? They don't wear white!!
Wellie down for the Hornets!
Looks like Welly has a Hammy
He is done
WOW! That's a first class brekkies
Twas
Bob refused to eat it!!
Troy Deeney , himself out injured, watching from the stands
Celtic take the lead against Ross C
Leeds are celebrating their centenary today with a match against Birmingham City. Let's hope it's a winning affair for the punters.
Celtic takes the lead vs Ross County and go top of the table . Rangers play tomorrow and may go back on top
Poor old Danny. His career has been so interrupted by injury.
Deulofeu on for Wellie
Leeds wearing their special shirts...hope they play special
Never - I loved every bite. Cleaned my plate.
Welcome Steve
How hilarious! It's Bob's loss
Good morning, Steve
GOAL! Great move from Watford and Spurs have been stunned by an early blow.
Great goal by Watford!!
Great pass out the wing, great cross
ONE NIL
GOAL !!! THE HORNETS TAKE A SHOCK LEAD THE TATER TOT
Well, that's a welcome start for Dacoure. I really enjoyed that spursy disarray that ended in Dacoure's tap-in
Nice long diagonal played wide right to Janmaat and his pass well diverted in by Doucorre.
The All Time Classic Match is on today
East Fife take on Forfar
East Fife one nil up
Let's hope it ends East Five 4 Forfar 5
Oh - Alioski forces a save out of Lee Camp in the Brum goal.
We knew you'd enjoy that goal Gooner
Potchie's getting sack in the morning, la la la la la la la la.....
Welcome, Gooner - how's your weekend going?
Charlton take the lead vs the Rams
Nice one, Gooner - I was just thinking the same thing.
Are you able to watch Leeds today? Where?
Hornets still bottom, a point behind the Canaries and two behind the Saints
Unfortunately, not. The Plus have the Swansea match on. So I'm just following the live text on the LUFC site.
Banjo Boy's lads take the lead vs the Rams as Banjo Boy starts a touchline ban
And listening/watching to Soccer Saturday
Are you watching it Steve?
We'll see how well depending on what happens in Toronto this evening. The one and done playoffs are a disappointment force by this idiotic Nations League the US is participating in.
Not at the moment. I've got the Watford match on. Though they are playing very inferior opposition. I may switch.
You watching on the match on the telly?
Tune in SS on the computer
Berardi wins Leeds a corner now. Come on - this one needs to fly in!
I don't understand the CONCACAF Nations League nonsense at all.
Reading's Director of Football fired their manager last week
Hired himself this week
Aberdeen takes the lead at Motherwell.
That was a dive and half from Rose
Lucas wins a Spurs corner
Nothing like promoting yourself. Great update, Dave. I think Barnsley had a managerial switch as well./
Goal at Stoke.... Stoke take the lead against Fulham
The Potters take the lead vs the Cottagers
Oooh, good shout Dave. It's early here at GoonerGHQ and I hadn't clocked that yet. Just in time to listen to that dourest of Scots. Kevin Campbell's kid with a gold for the Goblins
Kal Phillips wins us another corner.
I think that CONCACAF Nation's League is a joke. Either way, the U>S. is all but done after that disgraceful display in Toronto.
Goblins...hahahaha
Now it's Stu Dallas winning us a corner. The chances are racking up now. We just need to finish them.
You know, if the refs start carding Danny Rose for that kind of cynical crap, he'd stop it. And England would be better for it if he stopped that clown crap.
Totally agree Steve
Steve must be loving proceedings at the Tater Tot AKA Shite Fart II. A Hornets win calls for a celebration of the Spud of your choice
I would have thought so. It's unhappy days for the USMNT. Losing to Canada and its star player not getting a game at Chelsea. It's all gone pear shaped.
Free kick chance for the Whites out wide right - bring the big boys up!
I agree with Steve as well. This diving / cheating needs to stop
Brighton take the lead at Villa Park
Dictionary Boy scores... Webster
I defer to people , who follow MLS more closely than myself. I realize Greg Berhalter has just been appointed USMNT manager, but surely it's time for a change. The players are definitely not playing for him. It's really obvious
I want goals from Leeds, Ipswich, Pompey and Cambridge
The Orient Express go two up at Grimsby while Hibs take the lead at George Hamilton , which is academic
Pulisic wants too much too soon. Dortmund was perfect for him. The cesspool of the Prem is too hot an environment for him. But he's that kind of modern player. If you watched those matches, who do you think was more in form because he gets a match frequently, McKennie or Pulisic? Dumb, dumb, dumb move for him at this time.
Argyle take the lead vs Carlisle in the longest journey in English League Football
Oxford Shoes kick their way to the lead at the New York Stadium. Isn't that around the corner from where Bob and Dave are?
