A Busy Sunday Morning Headed Into the October International Break

It's a busy Sunday Morning that starts with a 9 AM triple header with Citeh vs Wolves on NBCSN, the Gunners vs the Cherries on CNBC , and thanks to UWS you can watch Saints vs Chelsea on Gold. It's a quiet end of the day with the Toon vs United kicking off on NBCSN at 11:30 M. That will be the final Prem action for nearly a fortnight. Join me if you can

Morning, MUR - thanks for getting us going this morning. Given the European schedule, the big boys are all playing this morning. Should be fascinating.

Good morning, Bob. Great to join you for a busy Sunday morning. Will be watching three matches at once on a busy start to the day

8:57 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

WOW ! A real upset in the SPL as Livingston defeated Celtic 2-0. Stevie G's Rangers will go top with a win vs George Hamilton Academical

8:59 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I've also got the Arsenal match on the PIP.

9:00 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

They're off from the EM

9:00 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Then from St. Mary's

9:01 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

And then from the Etihad

9:01 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I can't be arsed to watch the Chelsea match. They're not very good.

9:02 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

OH!!! A shot from NAthan Redmond was just a couple of inches over. That would have been a shock lead

9:02 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

As I remember, Wolves really pushed City in both matches last season. I'd love to see that again.

9:02 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The late match between Toon and United featuring two out of form sides. Not a good way to head into the break

9:03 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Some incisive play from City and Aguero has an early chance blocked.

9:04 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

That's correct. They drew at Molineaux and Citeh won 3-0 at the Etihad, but Wolves played most of that match with ten men and it would have been much closer with 11 vs 11.

9:04 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

A good win at St. James's Park would be a tonic for you lot going into the break.

9:05 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Ryan Bertrand wins a Saints corner against the team where he started his career

9:05 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The corner from JWP headed out and Hoijberg with a shot that lands in Row J

9:05 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Aubama has a shot curled just wide as Shane Long wins another Saints corner

9:06 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Oh - a chance there for Cutrone, but he fluffed it.

9:06 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Wolves with a rare chance and it's shot wide

9:07 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Agreed, Bob. Brucie is a United legend and mates with OGS, but we cannot do him any favors. We need a win that we cannot guarantee even at the out of form Toon

9:08 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!!! SIDE SHOW BOB GIVES THE GUNNERS THE LEAD OFF A CORNER

9:08 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The corner was curled in, he lost his marker , and easily headed into the corner

9:09 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

That is Pre Saiss ly what Wolves did not need as their central defender is down and may not be able to continue

9:10 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

It looks like one of the Wolves defenders has done his hammy. He'll have to come off.

9:11 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Tammy Abraham with a shot comfortably saved by Angus Gunn. Nice ball down the right by Azpi to Hudson-Odoi and he laid it off for Abraham

9:11 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Well done, the Arsenal. A great start for them.

9:11 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Jorginho with his requisite booking as he cynically fouls Shane Long

9:12 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

If Tammy Abraham continues to score goals, could he find his way into the England squad for the Euros?

9:13 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Agreed. The Cherries were more like Thelma N Luiz when defending that corner

9:13 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Yikes he's still down. It's going to be Ryan, not Roger Bennett to come on for Saiss

9:14 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Ryan Bennett is putting the sports bra on and is about to replace Sais.

9:14 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Correct, Bob. I think Abraham could force his way into the squad , especially, if one of the England strikers is out of form this season. That's the value of depth

9:15 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Well, if United were to purchase a superstar striker who pushed Rashford out of the starting line-up, he might have to make way.

9:16 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Just a reminder , England have two qualifiers in Eastern Europe this week. At Prague on Friday, which will be on Plus and playing in Transylvania a week from tomorrow.

9:17 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!TAMMY ABRAHAM GIVES CHELSEA THE LEAD. A LONG BALL FROM WILLIAN FOUND TAMMY ABRAHAM BEHIND THE SAINTS DEFENSE. HE CHIPPED ANGUS GUNN AND YOSHIDA CLEARED IT INCHES AFTER IT CROSSED THE LINE. CHELSEA IN THE LEAD

9:18 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

OH!!! Nearly a second for the Gunners and curled inches wide by Joe Willock

9:19 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

OH!!!! Nice double save by Ederson on a Wolves counter. Thought they took the lead.

9:20 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Actually, the replay showed that the first shot was a nice defensive block

9:21 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Tammy is putting pressure on leading scorer Aguero.

9:22 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Oh - Raul broke through and Ederson had to save at his feet.

9:23 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Cursing in the Streets of Alex? Surely , Rico fouled Pepe in the box. Martin Atkinson waiting for the VAR check. No penalty. How is that? It was a stonewall penalty. Steve and Simon have a right to feel aggrieved.

9:24 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Wolves are pushing City now - Traore did well to get to the by-line and pulled back a teasing ball.

9:25 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!!MASON MOUNT PUTS CHELSEA TWO UP. A LONG CLEARANCE FROM ANGUS GUNN WAS HEADED BACK, THEN A POOR SAINTS DEFENSIVE HEADER FOUND JORGINHO , WHO PASSED TO WILLIAN. HIS NICE THROUGH BALL FOUND MASON, WHO MOUNTED AND GUNNED CHELSEA TO A TWO GOAL LEAD WITH A GREAT FINISH

9:26 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Ralph , looking Ralphie from a Christmas Story and Gunn , his keeper , is making him think of that BB Gunn.

9:27 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Nearly a third for Chelsea as Abraham cuts back to Mount, not on the Mount, and he shoots inches over.

9:28 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

How about Mason Mount, mate? Abraham on the Mount as stated in Genesis!

9:29 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Sterling pushed down by Dendoncker while Ramsdale in the Cherries goal is down

9:30 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Gundogan with a free kick well wide of the mark.

9:31 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!!DANNY INGS PULLS ONE BACK FOR THE CHERRIES.VALERY TOOK A THROW AN GOT THE BALL BACK. THEN HE WENT PAST FOUR CHELSEA PLAYERS BEFORE HE PASSED TO DANNY IN GS TO TOE POKE IT IN FROM SIX YARDS OUT. NOW 1-2

9:31 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

A Saints free kick from the training ground. Taken short near the halfway line then chipped behind the Chelsea defense and Redmond shoots into the side netting from an acute angle.

9:33 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

That goal was the earliest Prem goal of the season. The shot from Ings took a deflection off of Zouma and may be credited as an OG

9:34 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

You should be watching the match on Gold. It's the most open of the three Prem matches

9:35 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Rui Patricio does well to turn a way a long range Citeh shot , while Ramsdale comfortably saves from Bakayo Saka

9:36 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Valery wins a Saints corner . A great block by Zouma off the Saints corner

9:36 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Great defensive header by Conor Coady to clear the danger in the six yard box

9:38 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!!KANTE SCORES WITH A LONG RANGE DEFLECTED EFFORT TO PUT CHELSEA 1-3 UP. BALL PLAYED WIDE LEFT TO MARCOS ALONSO AND IT WAS PASSED BACK TO KANTE, WHO HAD A SHOT TAKE WICKED DEFLECTION OFF OF HOIJBERG

9:41 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

It sounds like it. I'm still enjoying the City v. Wolves though. It's a fascinating battle.

9:42 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Loads of goal there at St. Mary's.

9:42 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

VAR checking for possible penalty to the Gunners . Nothing doing

9:42 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

A pair of stoppage time minutes at the EM

9:45 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The same at St. Mary's.

9:46 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

OH!! Danny Ings nearly scored again for the Saints. Shot past the Kepa , but Jorginho cleared off the line

9:46 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Same amount of stoppage time at the Etihad

9:47 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Gunners one up at the half

9:47 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

10:07 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

OH!!! Thought the Cherries equalized . Rounded Jay Leno , but the shot cleared off the line

10:08 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Then Hudson-Odoi through for Chelsea and a kick save with just Angus Gunn to beat

10:08 AM
