Another Big Match Sunday
I don't know how the Premier League suits keep doing it but they seem to be able to schedule a big match every Sunday at 11 or 11:30. This weekend, it's Liverpool v. Chelsea. Can Frankie Lamps' Chelsea put a stop to Liverpool's incredible run of form or will the Reds continue their march to the tittle?
Before that we've got the undercard match of West Ham v. ManYoo. Join me for all the fun.

Substitutes: Jimenez, Balbuena, Zabaleta, Snodgrass, Sanchez, Wilshire, Ajeti

Substitutes: Romero, Lingard, Rojo, Fred, Gomes, Tuanzebe, Chong
The good news for Manchester United? They come into this one on the back of successive wins, and back-to-back clean sheets to boot. The bad news? Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side are winless in six away matches, another failure to take three points on the road away from matching their miserable Premier League record.
Beat me to it Bob
Things here are fine
Still have the Starks here
We are off at West Ham as United are wearing their reptile shirts
United to get us going wearing something between canary yellow and tan. Never seen that one before. Your thoughts?
What were you up to with the Starks yesterday?
Haven't won away from home in the Premier League since FEBRUARY
We were going to go to Cooperstown but probably just to Toga
Good morning, Bob and Dave. Here to join you for a Big Sunday
Just about to tune in Palace Wolves on Gold
Morning MUR
So bad by Matic!! Wouldn't know he would be tackled in the midfield!!
Palace vs Wolves on Gold that we can watch thanks to Dave
I'm surprised that Wolves have been so poor this season. Second season in the Prem syndrome?
Good Morning, Dave. Sounds like a great weekend with the Starks
Went to Amsterdam in the evening to meet Lina's family and some nice Italian food and then saw a band play in an outside barn
Morning, MUR - how's your weekend been?
It could be the EL syndrome for Wolves as well. They may be like Burnley and recover around December
That's sounds like a superb Saturday evening out.
More patheticness by United.... VERY SLOPPY AND SLOW!!
Wake up!!!
Doing well, thank you for asking. How about you and Kate
Agreed. definitely sounds like an interesting evening
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
UWS will be interested to note that England defeated Tonga 35-3 in Pool C. Looks like a group of death with France and Argentina in the group. Not sure how many teams advance out of the group.
I have the Palace match on...I. don't think there is a commentator
I like that!
I watched the second half after I got up this morning
It was on NBCSN
Just to mention that despite United winning only 1-0 on Thursday, it was a decent performance. The lack of goals was due to missed chances and hitting the woodwork a couple of teams than actually playing poorly.
Correct. No commentator at Selhurst , which may be good.
Useless pass by Mata!!
I watched the final fifteen minutes once I got up. Am I correct England got a tough group? How many teams advance?
Gary Cahill blocks for Jota for a Wolves corner that Palace struggle to clear
I think two advance
England are favorites to go thru
No EL hangover for Wolves , but appears to be one for United
Yeah - it's been a good weekend. We went out for a hike in a nearby state park after my open house and then we ended up a lovely seafood restaurant near Lake Chautauqua.
Thanks , UWS. I guess France along with them, but the Argies gave France a tough match
Come on United!!
Matic with a shot
Still too hot for that here. It will be pleasant enough for outdoor activities in this area in about four to six weeks. Can't wait.
Of interest to Bob is the fact that the Baggies defeated the Terriers 4-2, moving the Baggies up to fourth. The Terriers stay bottom, looking at a second consecutive relegation.
United have a corner...of course it won't come to anything
NO ONE ATTACKING THE BALL
Commentator has shown up late at Selhurst...must have been held up on the tube
Ryan Fredricks tackles for a United corner that is headed away
Rash on the right...puts it in the box but only one guy in the box
United starting to attack, but the crossing is off.
Commentator just made my point
Noticed that too at Selhurst. Must be the London traffic and lack of parking near Selhurst
Rash breaks.... and blows it!!
PATHETIC!!
That's our striker!!
A cross... Rash didn't go for it! ATTACK THE CROSS
Poor touch by Rash on a promising attack that Dclan Rice clears then a cross headed out for a United corner
Useless corner
Why can't United take corners like England did in Russia
Then Ryan Cresswell clears for another United corner
Adama Traore with a long range effort deflected for a Wolves corner
United's attack is toothless!
VERY frustrating
EVERY game is like this
Useless United cross.
Still pathetic
Schlupp blocks a cross from Matt Doherty for a Wolves corner
A Pre Saiss tackle on Zaha for a Wolves corner
In both matches , the away team doing most of the attacking and both with pathetic crossing
Thanks for the Championship update, MUR. I had a feeling that WBA would win that match. They're now a point behind us in a very congested top six.
Baggies were down twice
United definitely bossing this match, but with no finishing product.
A Pre Saiss tackle on the Coyote for another Palace corner. Andre Ayew heads the corner from Milovojevic straight to Rui Patricio
BLOODY HELL!!
United are putting useless crosses but no one attacked it
There is the problem
Mata gets the ball with space ahead and right...he goes back
Glad to help. It's a typically congested Championship race. Sounds like a comeback from Slaven's lads
I better stop commenting
They are upsetting me so much
Guaita superbly turns over a header from Matt Doherty off a superb cross from Raul Jimenez
Vent away, mate. I was amused that Ashley Young seemed to think that his teammates could have gotten onto that free kick.
Corner headed out by Milovojevic then a long range effort from Traore lands in Row E
Zaha turns Boli and wins a corner off of Rui PAtricio
That one cross at Selhurst was the first good cross in either match
Long range effort from Pereira deflected for a United corner
I'm still ticked off by that last minute Derby equalizer. There have been three last minute goals from opponents - Forest, Swansea and now Derby - that have robbed us of seven points. We've been on top in every match this season and should have a perfect record - with 24 points.
United's fourth...everyone just standing
The ball bounces inside the six...how doesn't a United man put a foot on it!
Based on UWS's statement, it doesn't Mata whether or not United dominate possession
I don't blame you, Bob, but I'm sure Bielsa will put that right
Totally agree with you Bob...Leeds should be undefeated
Are all the drop points come at ER?
Hammers have a free kick near the touchline
Looks like something practiced on the training ground as an out swinger goes to the D and a volley from Mark Noble is comfortably saved by De Gea
Free kick out to Noble...volleyed toward goal saved
Not exactly a Scholes effort
Boy I miss him and others
Not just the title winning teams
I miss Robson, Pearson, Coppell, Hill, Macari and of course Jimmy Greenhoff
United look tired
Yes they did. That must be frustrating for Bob. Perfect on the road.
Agreed with both statements. Great players and United had to exert themselves more on Thursday than Wolves, who almost tanked their match
Yeah - all three at home. We've only had the one win - a 1-0 - against Brentford at home. Otherwise we've struggled to put teams away. Whereas we've won all of our away matches by multiple goals.
How did Noble not get a yellow
Comfortable near post close range save by Guaita from Jota off a two with Jimenez
It was a clumsy foul on Daniel James.
It could be that Leeds face teams that defend when at home and struggle to break them down, but yesterday, it was more missed chances
Last goal we saw in any broad cast match was Citeh vs the Hornets . It was 0-0 in the late match and 0-0 in both these matches
Traore with a cross headed out for a Wolves corner
BLOODY HELL
United one down
That missed penalty was just unacceptable. Bamford also missed one in the Forest match. But Klich looked like he couldn't be bothered. Far too casual.
BUGGER! THE HAMMERS TAKE THE LEAD
Sorry, chaps - Yarmolenko opens the scoring for the Hammers.
Still no urgency by United
A minute of stoppage time at the London Stadum
Half time...not bloody good enough
Hammers one up at the half while MacAthur booked for pulling back a player from behind
Same amount of stoppage time at Selhurst
It's 0-0 at the half at Selhurst
Scoreless at Selhurst Park at the break
Back to the Hammers goal. It was their longest possession of the match. It culminated in Mark Noble passing to Lanzini who passed through a gap in the United defense for Yarmalenko to score with a great finish
Away we go...United MUST do better
Second half underway from the London Stadium while Wolves players still in the dressing room at Selhurst
We're away in the second half. I'm hoping for some goals for the boys in...tan?
Come on, you Red Devils!
Agreed.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
COME ON MAN UNITED!
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Cheers, Bob. Tanks for your support
Rashford has a break.... comes to nothing
Second half finally underway at Selhurst
Palace take the lead
How did Mata miss that!!
DAMN IT!!
OPEN GOAL!!!!
Oh - that should have been a tap in for Mata.
Surely the Palace goal was an OG
GOAL !!! JOE WARD SCORES WIOTH A DEFLECTED EFFORT FROM THE D. SCHLUPP WENT ON A RUN AND WENT PAST BOLI . HIS SHOT WAS BLOCKED OFF THE LINE . THE COYOTE THEN PASSED BACK TO MACARTHUR, WHO PASSED BACK FOR THAT RARE JOE WARD GOAL
United are going forward more...Mata takes a shot... should have passed
A Wolves player booked for a less than Pre saiss challenge on Zaha
Bot matches in London and in both the home team leads 1-0
A weird stat for Wolves. They have not scored the opening goal in a Prem match this season. No wonder why they're struggling
Definitely an OG by Dendoncker. Joe Ward will have a rare goal chalked off.
Never a pen
Hammers cross blocked by Yash for a corner
RASH is TOOTHLESS
And he has no help!
Rash gets the ball but the ball was never shot or crossed
Passed back...of course.... and possession lost
NO ONE IN THE BOX!!
Mata...get it to James!!!!
it must be a case of McTomain poisoning due to that poor finish. Hard to stomach
United are dominating play once again but Rashford is looking like Bamford - a lack of confidence in front of goal. United should be a couple of goals up.
United are so pathetic
What happened to Solskjaer telling his players to shoot!
United were lucky to score as many as they did against Chelsea but now have only scored one goal in every game!!
Cross from Ayew headed out then Milovojecvic with a shot deflected for a Palace corner
Marstink Rashsuck
Rashford down hurt!
Knee?
Wolves bring on Ruben Neves for Matt Doherty. Meanwhile, the Coyote has a shot deflect off of Moutinho for a Palace corner
Lingard to come on... he's not exactly at striker!!
MAson Greenwood, who was the MOTM Thursday not in the squad due to tonsillitis . NOT McToamin poisoning
Looks like Lindy going up top
De Gea with a decent save... ball should have been put across the box
Oh - good sharp save from De Gea there from Anderson.
United's tan shirts symbolic that their performances make you want to puke
Shame - didn't Greenwood score his debut goal in midweek?
Great close range save
James beats a man...hits the guy in the front row
Why isn't Ollie getting up and yelling
Useless cross from Daniel James. He's better than that
Correct, Bob. Mason Greenwood scored his debut goal and what a vital goal it was
Untied are CLUELESS!
What was Matic attempting to do with the run
Jimenez flicks a volley straight to Guaita off a cross from Jonny. Ayew booked earlier for kicking the ball away after a Palace foul was called.
A win would move West Ham up to fourth and United down to eighth. United would swap places if they were to score twice in the last half hour.
W-B can't find a teammate with an open cross
United so toothless it's as if they just came back from the orthodontist
AGAIN!!
Pedro Neto on for Dendoncker as Raul Jimenez won a corner off of Gary CAhill that was punched away by Guaita
HOW DID MAGUIRE MISS!!!
Oh - Harry Maguire must score there!
Corner from Yash and great close range block by Flappy from Daniel James
Sorry. Maguire, not James
This United, if they don't score soon, will lose because they will become ill-disciplined and foul
Jack Wilshire n for Felipe Anderson for his first first team appearance in ages
The chances will come in the next twenty minutes or so. They just have to take them.
Why Fred? Isn't he a defensive middle? Straight swap with Matic. I don't get it.
Now Fred about to come on... for Matic!
I don't think Fred is that attacking but is better than Matic
Bring on Chong or Gomes
Tommy Chong would have been the more attacking option there, right?
Like for like as Fred is on for Matic. Not what United need being a goal down
Andre Ayew on for Beneteke
How is Young playing
I would play Rojo there
Fred nearly scored a spectacular long range goal on Thursday. Chong played more like Tommy Chong on Thursday. Wasn't impressed with him
Noble now gets a yellow...that should have been his second
MArk Noble more like DArth Vader as he's booked for a foul on Obi Wan Bissaka. His requisite booking
Not a lot of attacking options of United's bench today, I suppose. Why don't you have more strikers around?
I have no confidence that United will score one let alone two
It goes from bad to worse for Wolves and another Impre Saiss challenge. He stupidly pulled down Zaha for a second yellow . His first yellow was on the same player for the same challenge
Because we sell them to Italy and not replace him
Free kick to West Ham as Fred fouls Wilshire
Fred's first action is tripping up a player and setting up a free kick for West Ham. Not exactly what you needed.
Cresswell fires well over.
The Hammers with a free kick that's taking ages. It's over by Aaron Cresswell.
Starting line up for the late one
Chelsea XI: Kepa; Christensen, Tomori, Azpilicueta, Emerson, Jorginho, Kovacic, Kanté, Mount, Willian, Abraham
Liverpool XI: Adrian; Robertson, Matip, Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Fabinho, Salah, Firmino, Mane.
The final roll of the dice from Nuno the Saint as Cutrone is on for Jimenez
United go in..Lindgard fails to net the rebound
Short corner... then give away a throw in
Chelsea vs Pool definitely the match of the weekend
I really don't like Edward Woodward....he is clueless
OH! Palace should have gone two up. Beneteke through and shoots straight at the keeper from a few yards out
Mata off for Gomes
United have ten minutes to do SOMETHING
Angel Gomes on for Mata. I don't know anything about him.
United break....such a poor pass!
Agreed. Is he having the same conversation that he did in Jose's last match in charge?
Skillfull guy but not as good as Greenwood
I called... such a stupid foul by Young...United are clueless
Angel Gomes played Thursday and put in a decent performance. Was not any worse than any other United player and played as an attacking midfield player
Two nil
Creswell with a great free kick
ALL FROM A STUPID RETARDED MORONIC FOUL
Close range effort from Traore blocked by OVA for a Wolves corner that's caught by Guaita
DAMN ! CRESSWELL BENDS IT LIKE BECKHAM FROM THE FREE KICK TO PUT THE HAMMERS TWO UP
Sorry, chaps. This one is over. A disappointing weekend for our teams. I'm off to the shower ahead of the late one.
Midfield General, MacArthur , replaced by James McCArthyism in a like for like swap
This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Again, no urgency
Just fouling
Cheers, Bob. Looking forward to chatting during the late match. I'll shower after this shower of a performance
