Sunday Prem and Cup Action
Morning, chaps - it's time for some more league and Cup action this morning. It starts with a crucial London derby match at the Emirates where Arsenal are desperately trying to assure some European football while Fulham need a win in order to continue to hope for continued Premier League action next season. That's followed by Man Utd, who will want to close the gap on a faltering Man City against Burnley who are now looking over their shoulders at relegation. Later in the day, we've got the second semi betweeen Leicester and Southampton. Join me for the fun, boys!

Peep peep! Arsenal kick off from left to right.
Oh - Martinelli nearly puts the Gunners 1-0 up! Just wide.
Morning Bob,
I am just back from an early walk with Shadow. Got back for kick off
Was watching the show before the pregame...it was Goals of the Season 02-03.... the game was so much more exciting!!!
It's all Arsenal so far. Fulham merely parking the bus.
I need some points from Saka
Oh - good save by Ariola after Smith-Rowe got to the by-line and teed up Aubama.
Arsenal go close again.. Smith-Rowe with a nice run and cross. I think the Gunners got in their own way! Wrong guy took the shot
Morning, Dave - how are you mate?
Two big games at the bottom of the Championship today
Waza will be following the Rotherham Birmingham match. It is 0-0 with 15 minutes left
If it stays like this, Rotherham will be 3 points behind Derby with a better goal difference and TWO games in hand
Brum will be six points ahead but the same but less games and worse GD
Really fluid play from Arsenal so far. I don't know what Fulham think that they're doing.
Both Birmingham and Derby need aa Brum goal
Coventry take on Barnsley
Scott Parker with another absurd fashion statement today.
Doing well
Yourself?
I do hope United can make easy work of it today.
I'm not that confident they will
Rangers host Celtic in the Scottish Cup at 10am
I'm really surprised to see Derby where they are.
People give Scotty kudos for it!!!
I thought they had dragged themselves away but have fallen back
Took the lead at Ewood last time out and lost
Those two sides play each other too often - it's boring.
Well, perhaps he can get a job as a catalog model if he gets the sack?
I hate that crap...."they're trying to play out, they're not just going long"
NOTHING IS WRONG WITH GOING LONG!!!
Watch the Goals of the Season that was just shown!
Derby were a decent side under Lamps. Phillipe Cocu was a bad fit for the club.
This play of passing it almost on your goal line from one fullback to the keeper to another fullback..... POINTLESS
It definitely violates all that I was taught as a central defender.
Just like TT, the two commentators yapping about stuff....because so many times...nothing is happening on the pitch
Bloody Pep
Wow.... Fulham go inches wide!
Oh - that shot from Maja could easily have drifted in off Holding!
They must think they're getting paid by the word!
Just decided to tune in the Rotherham Birmingham match... 89th minute.... The Blues are winning!
No idea when they scored!
That's huge for Birmingham(WEARING GREEN AGAINST ROTHERHAM RED).... and Waza
6 added minutes
The goal must have been scored seconds before I joined
So here's a bit of trivia to build on the one about Harry Kane that you texted:
With his brace on Friday, HK became only the fourth player to have scored 20 goals in five seasons. Who are the other three?
Coventry host Barnsley later on but the table looks like this
Birmingham 48pts pld 42 GD -18
Hudders 47 42 -17
Cov 45 41 -19
Derby 43 42 -17
Roth 39 40 -13
Wed 36 42
Wy 34 42
Rotherham's fixtures
Mboro H
Barnsley A
Brentford A
Bburn H
Luton A
Cardiff A
Derby's
Preston A
Brum H
Swans A
Wed H
I think Derby will just survive
Good question... do you have a second guess for the one after Kane and Fowler?
Shearer?
Cole?
Birmingham have won
Rotherham's manager is a Pep lookalike
Shearer yes; Cole no.
Yeah - I'll go with Michael Owen for another guess.
I quoted you yesterday for you quoting Benjamin Franklin yesterday..... what are the odds....yesterday was the anniversary of his death!
Owen won the League with United
TH14
Who's Gareth having a look at today. Certainly none of the players in white.
Aguero
Saka
Smith Rowe
Oh - that's a great coincidence.
Henry is correct. One more.
That is true - I forgot about that. I always thought of his time at United as a bit of a damp squib.
How about JFH?
Aguero?
No.... clue....ball hog
This game started with chances... become a modern game now
Aguero is correct. Good company for HK but he needs to move in order to win something.
Martial would give up his #9 shirt
Oh - that gives it away; must be Jermain Defoe, right? Another Spud.
I don't think either of those guys are making it into the squad. England are loaded in those areas.
Arsenal take the lead
GOAL! Arsenal finally take the lead through Dani Ceballos!
Good team move.
VAR looking at offside
SO STUPID!!
VAR check for offside, of course. Of course.
OFFSIDE
SO STUPID!!
Bloody hell - it's chalked off. Nonsense.
Correct with Defoe
The game has been so crap that it’s easy to lose sight of how important this is for Fulham. The second half is their world entire; if they can pinch a win, with home games against Burnley and Newcastle to come, they will have renewed hope.
Arsenal have another one chalked off for offside. At least the flag went up early for that one.
Ball in the net again... offside
And that's half-time. Arsenal should really be a couple up at least now. That might just give the Cottagers some hope of nicking something. A draw isn't good enough for them.
I'm back with the official brekkies of the LOB to follow the second half.
Kate says that Scotty P. thinks that he's "hot stuff."
Lacazette flashes one just wide of the mark.
I am back after having some of Kathy's delicious French Toast for breakie
Does SHE think Scotty is hot stuff?
Anderson gets a yellow.... I don't think he did much wrong!
Full blooded stuff between Xhaka and Andersen. The Fulham players gets a card.
Don't tell my bruvver, but this wouldn't be the worst result for Leeds.
lips are sealed
Xhaka is struggling a bit now. He'll try to continue but he's hobbling.
Kate's not keen on Scotty or his look. She thinks he should be in a J Crew catalog.
The way that the results are going, we have an outside chance of grabbing a European spot. I can't believe it.
Bloody hell - Fulham have a penalty now!
The ref has pointed to the spot!! With the help of his linesman
VAR checking now - they've been no friend to the Gunners this morning.
They've confirmed the foul but are checking the offside.
He tries to get out...did he touch the foot
It is so stupid with all these decisions
Is he offside?
It is more than the the other one
It is given onside and a penalty
Sure looked more offside than the Arsenal 'goal'
Up comes Fulham....one nil
It is a penalty then - what a moment in Fulham's season!
Josh Maja to take....
He roofs it - it nearly went over!
Fulham 0-1 up.
The sport is ruined!
There was no difference between the Arsenal offside and this one!
Now then - can they hang on for the last half hour. That would put enormous pressure on Burnley who are up next against your lot.
Totally agree with you, mate.
Fulham are now 4 points behind Burnley but having played two more games...hopefully the same with only one game in hand later on
That's true...Fulham took the lead at Villa Park and lost 3-1
Surely Arsenal have to show more consistency. They looked really good in the EL
I still don't rate Arteta at all!
Smoke and mirrors and the Pep Affect
Why isn't Pepe playing after his good goal on Thursday
Arsenal need some changes pronto - it's not working out there. They were good for the first twenty minutes or so but have fallen off since then.
Free kick chance for the Gunners
I don't want the Gazette to score....I am playing against him this week
Arse have a free kick now at the top of the D. A bit too close, I reckon.
I hate this laying down behind the wall as well
Would you be the man laid out on the ground?
Gazette hits the top of the wall
Laca straight into the wall - a waste.
Probably!!
Dortmund losing at home early doors... they are in sixth!!!
They won't make the CL!! Bye bye Haaland? Bellingham?
Arsenal making a couple of changes
Arteta rings the chances now. Pepe and Partey on for Bellerin and someone else. Not sure what the point of another holding player is right now.
The Gazette is down...oh no...is it his hammy?
That hurts!!
Now Lacazette has gone down - looks like a hammy. Not good for the Gunners.
That would be so bad for Arsenal for the rest of the season!!
That is a hammer blow for your bruv
Eddie Nketiah to come on for Laca - our old Elland Road friend.
How did that not go in!!
Laca has been in decent scoring form of late, but I've never rated him. They should have never given up on Patrick Bamford. And don't get me started on Harry Kane.
Think of it - Arsenal on their youth books two strikers who have scored a combination of 35 goals this season!
Saved by his knees
Arsenal have played with much greater urgency since going behind. Teams do that so often, as if it hadn’t occurred them to attack with intensity when it’s 0-0.
United's line up announced
Henderson
Obiwan, Lindel, Mags, Shaw
McTom, Fred
Rash, Bruno, Pogba
Greeny
Loftus-Cheek coming on for Fulham
Is he still a Chelsea player?
I'm not sure how Rashford and Greenwood gets games for you lot, but I hope they play next weekend.
Dortmund are now winning after 34 mins
Eddie was nearly in there - half a chance.
I have them both....I need points!!
Greenwood made the difference last week at Spurs
A goal and an assist coming off the bench
I think he is.
Cavani made the difference - and so he's on the bench.
If this stays the same, Arsenal still in 9th equal on points with Leeds with a 7 goal difference. Leeds can overtake them with a point tomorrow
West Brom, if they win their two games in hand, would be above Fulham!!
Could Burnley and Brighton still be in trouble?
Yep - we'll need a result against Liverpool tomorrow. I kind of fancy it. Liverpool are in rotten form these days and just got knocked out of the CL.
I agree Cavani should be playing
Now the keeper has to take off his glove and shoe.... so obvious time wasting... so inconsistent!!
They need to start being exact with the clock!! They call offside for a hair on the big toe
I hope it happens tomorrow!!
Nice pass by Saka...has to be a better touch there!!
This would be Arsenal's 13th defeat matching their 13 wins
They would have lost 7 home games!!
Free kick chance...cleared
AFTV having kittens!
They are entertaining
Oh - Saka wasn't that far away with the curler.
oooh, nice effort from Saka just over
wide
Another chance...took too long to shoot but still got a shot off
Bloody Short corner!!!
VAR checking now for a penalty. Nothing doing.
SEVEN added minutes!
Ridiculous stuff!
VAR looking at something...nothing given
Seven minutes of stoppage time for Arsenal to rescue this one.
No one ever talks about the clock...something has to change!
With all the technology....include the clock!
Again, I think there should be a clock that everyone knows the time... but the game does not end until the ball goes out of play after the 90th minute
Oh - great block by Reid. Saved the day.
Another chance blocked
Arsenal going the wrong way
URGENCY!!
Gifted corner again
Keeper is up for the corner...he wins another one
Just about the last chance now for Arsenal from the corner.
Ryan wins the the header......and Arsenal equalize!!!
96th minute
Is it onside
GOAL! Oh my word - Eddie has rescued a point for the Gunners!
Scotty Parker is gutted!
VAR are checking it, of course.
Congrats to Steve but this added time minutes are ridiculous
VAR still checking? He wasn't interfering with the keeper...he saved it!!
Goal counts
So stupid to even look at
It's ruled a goal and VAR finally favors Arsenal.
now it is 98 minutes!!
United got abuse when they scored in 93 vs Wednesday 6 minutes in added time.... a ref had to be replaced by the linesman in that match
The time is ridiculous
All over
Arsenal equalized in the time added because the keeper had to itch his big toe
Parker arguing with the refs in the tunnel
Rats...have to deal with Arlo and Dixie for the Untied match
Burnley have a good record at OT....United have to go out and start fast and knock them down!!
OGS had is Fergie moment.... changed the banners in the stands to black instead of red....just like the kits at the Dell
Comedy Duo at OT with medals around their necks
Parker is pissed
Dunno why
Holding had nothing to do with the goal
He wanted an offside for the equalizer....he wasn't blocking the keeper's view!
Boy how the rules have changed!
The famous WBA goal against Leeds when Barry Davis went mad about it being offside
The ball was never passed but in those days...didn't matter
Rangers are two up coming up to half time
The Clarets are looking to join Wimbledon in 1992-93 and Chelsea in 2009-10 as the only clubs to record away victories at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United in the same Premier League season.
Let's all hope that doesn't happen
United coming out at Old Trafford...NBC goes to commercials
How much money do they need?
Manchester United are looking to earn five consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since winning their first six under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January 2019.
All four league defeats this season have all come at Old Trafford.
They were beaten in three of their opening six league matches this season but have lost only one of their subsequent 25.
Who was that loss to?
I think it was at home Sheffield United.... what a waste!
The losses before that were Palace, Spurs and Arsenal
I'm back after a chinwag with Steve about the match to enjoy this one with you.
A win by United today would take them 8 points behind City
City lose at Villa park and United win at ER....it would be 5
Unbeaten in last four trips to OT....knock it off Burnley
Off we go
Bloody hell - the ball is in the net. But it's chalked off early on.
Heart in mouth time.
STRUTH...ball in the first ten seconds!!
Is it offside?
I think it will be given!!
No... offside called
LUCKED OUT!!
United start slow so many times
WAKE UP!!!!!
Why were there no lines drawn
It looked like Shaw kept him onside!!!
Why isn't Cavani starting....he scored one(and another called off last weekend) and scored midweek..... he doesn't need a rest!!!
United almost concede again!!
BURNLEY ALL OVER UNITED!
WAKE UP!!!
McTom with a shot.... saved
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
Cross the ball
Greenwood crosses....to the other fullback....United just going in the wrong direction
Corner to United
Come on...score
Wasn't that more recent loss at OT to Sheffield United?
Bloody short corner
Yes, I did posted that
What a wasted three points that was!!
I know all teams can say that but 3 more points in that game, a late equalizer to Everton, loss to Palace, point dropped at Palace
We could be right up there with City
Decent cross by Obiwan....good header by Pogba
I suppose that City would say that last weekend's loss to us was a lost three points.
Hendo with a nice long ball...nothing is wrong with that!
I know they would
United gained a lot of points too....two points at the Amex AFTER the final whistle
I still think that Burnley goal should have counted!
SAF looking stylish in his United mask.
STOP GOING THE WRONG WAY
Wonder what he thinks about this style of play
Ball out to Obiwan... lots of space...doens't cross it
Burnley with a decent effort....saved
Burnley break and Chris Wood has a go from distance. Henderson is behind it.
United now break....just wide by Bruno
Well wide
