Sunday's Best
We've got a footie feast on offer today. It all starts early doors at 7am with a cracking London Derby between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners will want to keep up their winning ways to stay on top. That's followed up by a cluster of matches at 9am, including Villa v. United. Finally, the late one is Spurs v. Liverpool.
Bring on the matches!

They're off from SB . COME ON YOU GUNNERS!
Here with the breakfast of champions . There was no pre-game show. In stead they showed Chucky " Doll on Doll. " Does anyone want a visual?
Just a reminder it's Fall back Sunday today.
Chelsea move up a spot to sixth place ahead of Potter's former seagulls by virtue of kicking off. The Gunners remain second and are behind Citeh on goal difference
Morning, David - thanks for joining me for this London Derby. I'm just settling in at the half-hour mark after a bit of baby wrangling.
The teams:
Chelsea (possible 4-2-3-1) Mendy; Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Thiago, Cucurella; Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho; Sterling, Havertz, Mount; Aubameyang.
Substitutes: Bettinelli, Koulibaly, Gallagher, Hall, Kovacic, Zakaria, Pulisic, Ziyech, Broja.
Arsenal (4-1-4-1) Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Xhaka, Martinelli; Jesus.
Substitutes: Turner, Tierney, Holding, Cedric, Lokonga, Elneny, Vieira, Nelson, Nketiah.
Referee Michael Oliver.
Good Morning , Bob. Glad to join you. How are you this fall back morning? M&M sound like they're doing their own vision of a London Derby
It's 0-0 at the half where the Gunners have done the majority off the attacking without really testing Mendy in the Chelsea goal. Time to take Trooper walkies.
They certainly are, David - lots of twin shenanigans this morning. This one is on a knife's edge. Arsenal need a goal.
Based on the current Premier League standards, the pitch at the Bridge doesn't look very good.
An acrobatic effort from Martinelli - didn't quite come off.
Oh - Gabby Jesus was in there one-on-one - Mendy did well.
GOAL ! THE GUNNERS TAKE THE LEAD FROM A CORNER
GOAL! The corner went straight through everyone and was roofed by Gabriel.
1-0!
Was it an OG by Thiago Silva?
The Saka corner would have gone straight in there but I think that Gabriel got a touch before it went in - he's certainly claiming it.
That was and odd goal going through a lot of people off the Saka corner. Not are off Gabriel or Saliba will be credited with the goal
Talk about perfect timing. Arrived just as the goal was scored. Congratulations, Steve
Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher replace Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who was anonymous on his big day, and Kai Havertz.
This puts the Gunners back on top with Chelsea back in seventh place behind the Seagulls on goal difference
Aubama's big day was like Hillary's in the 2016 elections.
BOOM BOOM!
Does Fall back Sunday describe the time change or Chelsea?
Arsenal can just soak up pressure an hit on the break now.
Ouch - don't remind me of that election, mate - I'm afraid that Tuesday's midterms will have a similar result.
Agreed, mate. Sorry about that. I tried to do my part to help.
I'm sure Steve is asking the ref to blow for full time, willing to take one nil to the Arsenal
Nice cut an thrust to this one.
Cucarello should have been sent off by now. Lots of fouls and nearly gifted the Gunners a penalty
Glad to see Andy Townsend complaining about the inconsistency of VAR the hand ball calls. If Dave says nobody complains we can now say Andy Townsend does
Arsenal are almost there - this would be a big win.

Sorry for the format. I'm not exactly a techie.
A couple of minutes remaining of the quintet of stoppage time minutes.
The Gunners holding on as Arteta shuts up shop with Gunners holding on, hoping Chelseas doesn't rob them of victory.
Now past the five minutes due to the substitution.
It's over and the Gunners are top after one nil to the Arsenal at SB. Chelsea is in seventh place
Becky just mentioned its the Gunners best top flight start in their history. What an achievement considering all the great Gunners sides of the past
Huge win there for the Gunners - they're back on top of the pops.
It's another London Derby on the telly in the next match, which is the mid table clash between the Hammers and Palace.
I have the match from Villa Park on the iMac with Hammers vs Palace on the telly
I'm over to the link for the match at Villa Park on The Cock now.
They're off from the London Stadium . Playing taps at Villa Park
They're off room Villa Park.
CIOME ON MAN UNITED!
We're away in The Emory Board's first match in charge. Come on, United!!
The villa fans will be board of Emory.
BOOM BOOM, MATE!
BLOODY HELL! LEON OF THE OLD BAILEY GIVES VILLA THE LEAD
Sorry, mate - Villa score early doors through Bailey.
Nice Villa goal , but poor United defending. Olly Watkins fount JacobRamsey and he found Leon Bailley who was poorly marked by Lisandro Martinez and scored with a well placed shot past De Gea
That Shaw ia a booking for a foul on JacobRamsey just outside the United box. Not much in it.
Thanks Bob. Hopefully, United come back
YIKES! VILLA GO TWO UP. HIS NAME IS LUCA AND HE DIGNED IN A FREE KICK, FEASTING ON UNITED!
Villa up to fourteenth place now behind Leeds on goal difference. The Cherries replace them in the drop zone , behind Saints on goal difference. Saints drawing 0-0 vs the Toon.
I'm just back from making my second cuppa and - bloody hell! - United are two-nil down! New manager bump, perhaps?
I am just checking in...Brentford Take 2
Did you notice how far back the wall was sent back for the second goal? Did anyone mention it?
It was at least 15 yards!!
These two meet in the League Cup on Thursday at OT
Congrats Seve
Bloody Manger Bump!
GOAL ! BEN RAMA GIVES THE HAMMERS THE LEAD
Great goal by Bananarama for the Hammers
United look like they will concede on every attack
I didn't check the distance one the free kick . It's a repressed memory, LOL! Agreed that it's a new manager bump.
United don't take on Fulham until next Monday...that is a week before Iran!
Couldn't they have just played on Sunday
There is another game on Monday too
Good morning, Steve. Congratulations on a great win. Not sure why we started so horribly.,
I'll send you two a pic
Sorry,. Good morning Dave. Not just Bees take 2, but Many Derby take 2 as well.
A delicious bowl of oatmeal has arrived at my shoulder.
According to FOTMOB the match on Bob and Kate's is on Sunday at 11:30
YIKES! There were better walls in the AYA league. United haven't set foot out of the dressing room.
My excuse is that the Un item wall is a repressed memory ,or was.
Morning, Dave - sorry about the scoreline.
IS repressed memory a valid excuse for not observing the wall being so far back?
It looked like the wall was lined up for a cross in stead of a free kick. It's as if the players never practiced building a wall.
Horrible attempt by Jacob Ramsey to win penalty . Should be booked for diving.
Ramsey wants a pen now - nothing doing.
Nice save by Emi Martinez from Garnacho in a similar position to where he scored win Thursday.
Oh - big chance for United - saved by Emi Martinez.
And again - Ronaldo at point break range!
Then a kick save from a header from CR 7.
Mickey Almiron gives the Toon the lead at St. Mary's . Bob will be pleased.
Harry Maguire being prepared to come on?
That's lovely - yes, indeed. Keep the Saints down there at the bottom.
Saints now third from bottom, a point behind the Cherries. Toon now third ahead of the late match
Why Maguire. Varane is not on the bench and I guess he will replace Lindelof
So where is this Gamacho kid from? He looks a bit handy.
Why indeed - he's been poor for United this season.
GOAL! ZAHA TIES IT UP FOR PALACE. EZE DOES IT AS HE TACKLED KEHER DEEP IN THE HAMMERS HALF AND PASSED TO ZAHA , WHO TURNED CARIG DAWSON AND PLACED IT WELL PAST FLAPPY
United need a goal before half....maybe two...or three!
I'll take just one
I think I heard on 5Live that Vill haven't beaten United at Villa Park since 1995. If that is true....that was the You Can't Win Anything With Kids match
Garnacho is an Argie teenager , who was signed from the Atheltico academy a couple of years ago. He's done well in the EL matches this season.
YIKES! Didn't realize it had been that long. Great stat, Dave
A pair of stoppage time minutes at the London Stadium. IS the COck way behind or did the match at Villa Park start late?
YES!!!
We will take a lucky goal!!
WAY HAY! THAT SHAW WAS A STROKE OF LUCK AS THE LONG RANGE SHOT TOOK A HUGE DEFLECTION WRTONG FOOTING MARTINEZ. PULLS IT BACK TO 2-1
It's 1-1 at the half at the London Stadium
I'm trying to look up the scores right now
United want a pen...Will VAR check?
Not Shaw if the goal will be credited to Luke or an OG to Jake Ramsey
United's crossing has to be better
Never a pen
United trail 2-1 ta the half. Went two down early then pulled one back shortly before halftime
I thought Jacob Ramsey dove to win the free kick for the second Villa goal even though the wall was a joke.
It is the last win for Villa.... the opening match of the 95-96 season
Trippier down injured. He may be a doubt for the WC.
Fotmob has changed their schedule....United do play on Sunday at Bob and Kate's
The only team to start with 34 plus points from thirteen matches and NOT win the league was also in the 95-96 season. Who was that?
Are you serious about Trip?
We want Bob and Kate to be generous hosts for the last match before the WC
ON FOTMOB's live ticker it said he was down , holding his hammy. That was in the third minute of six stoppage time minutes at St. Mary's. He hasn't been subbed, so hopefully he's okay
Toon one up at the half at St. Mary's
In the Cup Wrexham thrashed Oldham 3-0. Cambridge is being held 0-0 at the half at Curzon while Woking vs Oxford has been postponed.
Newcastle
In the Villa Park streak, United have come from behind before in the Prem and the Cup
I remember the 2 down and then goals from Ollie and Ruud win it 3-2
Teasms out for the second half. ETH looks like he smashed a few teapots at the half
The second half is underway from the London Stadium as Antonio on for Scimacca
I remember that 2-3 win like it was yesterday
Second half underway...probably minutes ago...but just starts on the Cock
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
United asleep and give away a shot inside 10 seconds
Well done Dave. I remember that Toon implosion after the Keegan meltdown like it was yesterday as well.
Rash tries too many fancy back heels....JUST PASS THE BALL
Second half underway .
COME ON UNITED! ANOTHER 2-3 WILL DO NICELY!
Rash has hardly even touched the ball. I didn't even realize he was on the pitch in the first half
His slump at Anfield in the 4-3 game
How NCastle hammered United at SJP for the first half and then United just kept calm and the Phil Nev finds CANTONA!!
United can't make the final pass...get the ball in the box!
Bloody hell
United don't do anything with the ball...Villa get it in the box and score!
BUGGER! NOW 3-1 UNITED CAUGHT OIN THE BREAK AS JAKE RAMSEY THUMPS IT IN THE UPPER 90
Pathetic defending
Rangers lost at St Johnstone today
Not a good week after being tarnished being the worst CL team in history
Of course, they did have a pretty tough group!
Napoli, Liverpool and Ajax
Long clérance from Minors the merciless was headed back by Lindelof and won by Buendia who passed wide right to Olly Watkins. Liuzzy Martinez gave him far too much room to run down the left and pass back for that Jake Ramsey goal
United need to move the ball quicker and get it in the box....AND SHOOT
Again...stupid little flicks
Rash is back to his bored little boy mood
That is a wretched week for Rangers , but agree about the group. Now seven points behind Celtic
Currently the same score as the last defeat at Villa Park
Callum Wilson was replaced at half time
Hope he is ok. He was an England hopeful
Trip still on the pitch for the Toon, so he must be okay
He was replaced by Chris Wood. I think Wilson's best bet is being on standby , but with the poor form of Sterling I guess anything is possible. Southgate fixated on Sterling, so I guess standby if he's fit.
Yup...but sadly...there is no Beckham and Scholes in the side...they were kids but I'd still take that version than this lot
Mings the Merciless down for Villa. They're talking about him being an England hopeful. Not sure. IS he?
Wilson should definitely go
Ahead of Watkins
WAKE UP RASHFORD!
Agreed, Dave. I would take them too. Wonder if Garnacho can be the next version of any of those players
I agree with that post about Wilson
Garnacho does want to take on his defender...unlike Sancho who just passes it back
Last weekend they were talking about Rash going ahead of Wilson and Watkins. Not based on today's showing
He's done well in the EL. Why not start the Argie teenager on a more regular basis.
United are so slow going forward and hardly ever gets the ball in the box!!
Chris Wood puts the Toon two up at St. Mary's.
Martial to come on?
For who...it will probably be Garnacho but it should be Ronaldo or Rash
Handbags in the box...what happened
Ronaldo and Mings?
Mings was hugging him!
Give a pen
Flash point as the replay shows Ronny rugby tackling Mings acting like the merciless
United with a useless corner...of course
VAR checking for a sending off. Nothing doing.
I would take of VDB for Martial
So many United players make the easy pass with too much flash!!
Knock it off
Toon now three up at St. Mary's
Malacia coming on for Shaw
Agreed, Dave. That would be a good change.
Bloody hell...stupid by Martinez
Of course the media want Red cards every game
Agreed with both statements. Thought he actually might have been sent off.
Make some changes....good three changes
Malacia, Martial and Elanga
On for Shaw, VDB and Garnacho
It should have been Ronaldo
Back after a feeding break - sorry about this one, boys. Still - we turned around a 1-3 deficit yesterday. Let's have another 4-3 thriller!
He is the only one that attacked his defender
Welcome back Bob...I'll take that
Like for like as Malacia Shaw is on, Elanga for Garnacho, and VDB karate chopped off as called by Dave
Welcome back, Bob. I'll take that too
That third Toon goal was scored by Joe Willock and assisted by Trip , who must be okay
All this stupid passing...take a man on and get the ball in the box
That is a decent pass... Elanga hit...never a pen
I think Newcastle will get top 3!
Arsenal/City top two...hopefully in that order
Toon third
Fourth...Spurs/Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool? Or Pool to be relegated
Just to let you all know the next PPP update will probably be on Thursday as Real plays tomorrow and Thursday. Also midweek matches in the Championship and the three PPP leagues in midweek. Also the LC in midweek.
Come on United...still time...SHOOT the ball
Correct Dave. Toon now third and will stay third unless Spuds defeat Pool today
Too slow of a build up and then lose the ball
Free kick chance for United...the wall or Row Q about to be hit
LOL, Dave! Wishful thinking regarding Pool. That would be a dream come true
Let's have a the same distance for the wall please Ref
The Toon definitely a possibility for top three. I thought they were a season away , which is why I didn't pick them in the PPP.
Dalot booked for asking for a booking
I called it
Just saw Mark Noble in the stands . The announcer said something about him becoming a director. Interesting.
There is time if they go forward!
Gordon Bennett make the right pass!!!
Horrible pass in the box by Dilly Dalot. Should have been pulled back to 3-2
Well done, Nostradvidus
Hard to believe United is still in fifth place
Leverkusen takes the lead vs Union Berlin. Looks like Bayern will go back on top ahead of the midweek matches
The Rams take the lead at Fawlty Towers in the Cup.
Ericksen has not been good today
His set pieces have been horrible...and his passing hasn't been that good either
Hammers get a penalty
Apparently Antonio was pulled back
Booby Kamara for Olly Watkins, Danny Ings for Buendia, and former United player, Yash is Digned on
Ashley Young is about 200 years old....why isn't anyone taking him on!
Just looked at the replay. A really soft penalty awarded to the Hammers. Super soft. VAR checking
LOL, Dave. Wonder what he thought of the Civil War
I don't think it was much of a pull on Antonio
I would be given if it were City...what about West Ham?
It won't be given
Not City
Paul Tierney going to the monitor. I think this is going to be correctly overturned
LOL, Dave! Spot on about the penalty decision. No penalty . The correct call.
Not given...it isn't City and DeBruyne
Quite an MLS Final yesterday
Come on United...you can score two...COME ON
Pathetic headed pass by Rash in the box off a nice cross.
WOW! I missed that match. There was a ton of stoppage time, but hard to believe Philly missed all their spot kicks
Leverkusen goes two up vs Union Berlin. Bayern will be back on top
Bale scored the equalizer in the 128th minute
LA had their goalkeeper sent off...while being stretchered off
I think he was the Canadian keeper... broken leg
Come on United.... a late push
Still clueless
No urgency
Villa still look more dangerous and they don't have to score
Hans Christian Eriksen failing to lead United to a fairy tale ending today
