Will one continent get the bragging rights over the other or will it be a draw? I predicted an All- South American final but I am rooting for an All- European.

Morning, UWS - thanks for the post. We had originally expected to head up to Lewiston for a Boston concert this afternoon and were going to DVR the proceedings. But they are calling for massive thunderstorms this afternoons, so we may stay put.
There are three changes for Brazil, with Bernard getting the nod to replace Neymar.

In qualifiers, Sweden had an amazing fightback against Germany, where the German defense crumbled pitifully, but I think they let in only 3 in about 15 minutes. Other than that. No. This is unreal.
AZ Kicker is now on for eight points with Mueller level on 6 with James Rodriguez as Golden Boot.
With the advent of the flat back 4, supposedly the loss of a single defensive leader (Silva in this case) should not be so detrimental. Frankly, I think that Big Phil has so many defensive midfielders on the pitch that they did not coordinate well on who should be tracking back. In the end, often noone did, and it was only the defenders back there (certainly not Maicon, though).

I think that such a drubbing is not a good prep for the Germans. Still, they are probably better than most at not letting something like this go to their heads.
Mueller does have six in this tournament. He scored a hat-trick against Portugal in the opener and then one against the US in the third group match. Now two in this one.

I've just seen the scoreline again and FIFA have credited Schurlle with the sixth goal - we thought it was Mueller's goal, so he is still on 5. AZ Kicker will be crushed.

I am speechless! Never seen anything like it. The Brazilian Nuts were Muellered and Kroosified. When I go to bed, like Phil the Pill I will be hitting the sack. For punishment, Brazilian players will be watching the silence of the Lahms.
