Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Crouch is God!

Here's the Crouch goal from yesterday's match. Bit of the Geoff Hursts, eh? Enjoy!

I agree - no need for the intervention of the "Russian linesman" this time, thankfully.

What's that music? Sounds a bit Prefab-Sproutish to me. No?

Actually, I didn't know that there was music on it. I did the You Tube thing at the UF Library, which has the sound cut off - thank goodness! - so all I got was the visual. I'll have to have a listen when I get home.

The thing that I love about this goal is that an ordinary sized striker would've just banged in the volley no problem, but Crouchie because he so freakishly tall has a devil of a time getting over the ball with his mutant legs and just about manages to whack it onto the underside of the bar and - fortunately - in. Good old Crouchie!
