Footie Riddle of the Week
In an effort to get the mojo working for Wednesday's match-up with Macedonia, here's a trivia question about England scorers. In the past twenty years, there have been seven England players who've scored hat-tricks in either competitive or friendly matches. Name them. (Bonus points if you can remember the matches.)
5 Comments:
Peter Crouch- Jamaica
Paul Scholes- Poland
Michael Owen- Germany
Gary Linekar- Poland
I might be able to come up with some more but I will leave it for someone else.
There's at least two more obvious ones and then one that's a bit more difficult. Obviously Lineker and Owen have had several hat-tricks. But well done so far.
Yes, indeed. That leaves the two more difficult ones. Give it a go, lads!
Bryan Robson - Turkey
Luther Blissett- Luxembourg
Both of these were over twenty years though.
Owen has done it twice- Colombia(in the US)was his other.
Linekar did it against Turkey
Can I have banger?
Luther Blissett?! Isn't that some Italian postmodernist literary circle? Guess again, mate.
