Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Much as I expected because losing Ballack and Hargreaves would leave a hole that Bayern couldn't fill. The only way this would have worked is if Bayern had someone in the pipeline to fill in for Owen.

Makes sense that he will eventually go to Man U. January is possible, but if they're doing well in the CL, next summer is a more realistic target date.

I can't imagine them going in for him this year if he plays for Bayern in the CL and gets cup-tied. They'll pick up Carlito in January and then Owen next summer; that's my bet.

It is still not dead. There are still two days to go.

I am watching Skysports right now and they just showed Northampton lose at home to ten man Bristol City 3-1. City had a man sent off because he headbutted his own teeammate. They asked the manager about it and he said
"I am afraid, Arsene Wenger style, I didn't see it."
How true is that!!!!

When am I going to hear one of the Dahlgren boys on Fox Football Fone-In?
I am longing to hear Steve from DC or Bob from Florida

Sorry, Dave, I'm down here in Gville on Tuesday nights, so I don't have access to FFF. But I'm listening to the podcast of World Soccer Daily right now and the lads had Martin Tyler on today. Nice one!

bugger, I want to hear you two?
I like Martin Tyler. He is a very intelligent, interesting person. I really enjoyed listening to him with Andy Gray in the World Cup show.

I swear to God that last week when Geber started spouting obvious tat, I was on the phone and hitting redial for a solid 30 minutes before Melanie reminded me to get a flippin' life.

Don't hold your breath Davey. I've never managed to get through to those two.

Good judge of character there boyo. Martin's only the most committed Gooner ever. He and Phil Soar have written what's considered the definitive history of the club. My Dad forgets and sends me it every other year so I may be able to scrouge up an extra copy so that your boys can catch up.

Martin patiently explained to Steven and Nick that Arsenal shouldn't be counted out after a mere three hours of Premiership footie this season.

Good to hear from you gooner. I guess Melanie is right.
I didn't know that about Tyler. I guess everyone has his faults.
I guess I could read something about the Gooners.
Actually, I will have to think about it.

Alex Ferguson admitted that there's no chance of Hargreaves coming to Old Trafford. He also revealed that he'd passed on a move for David Trezeguet. More evidence that Sir Ferg has lost the plot.
