Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Fiesta Time at Upton Park!

Blimey! What exactly is in those bubbles that they're blowing down at West Ham these days? The club that has been regularly running out Bobby Zamora this year has now swooped for both Machurano and Tevez. I'm excited. I've been waiting for quite a while to see Carlito in regular action and I'm certainly happier to see him coming to West Ham than to ManYoo.

What say you, Trevor?

Johnno, both of these guys are the real deal. Marlon Harewood, fuggetaboutit.

Congrats on Mascherano too. I was hoping that he'd be ours.

Agreed, guys. Harewood and Zamora can't be happy, can they? Even if they're only there for a year, they could launch the Hammers into Europe for next season and bring in some welcome revenue.

I reckon that Carlito could have a DiCanio effect at the club. Good business.

come on....where do the hammers come up with 60M pounds for these two chaps -- that kinda money out of their league. the rumor i've heard is much of the fee was bankrolled by chelski to keep them out of arsenal & man u. If they settle and enjoy mushy peas, they'll be playing in blue next season.

I have been taking my lil sis to the airport so I have just seen all the moves.
It is great for WHU but it can't be another Chelski move, can it? I did see the rumors on 365.
Finally, Cashley off to the Blues and the Gooners get Gallas.
Are you pleased Steve?
As for my lot, we were less busy than the plonkers in white from Yorkshire!!!

My Dad just called and said that the FA are going to announce a thorough investigation of this transfer because it is apparent that it's not W. Ham money behind this deal.

I love it. More dirty dealing by those rich Chelski bastrrrds. Relegate them to the Serie...er..Championship with a 20 point deduction!!!

That works for me - I'd love to see an Italian solution with the top three or four dropping a division. "Hey Jose, join us in the Coke, mate. The water's fine!"

As for the Cashley/Gallas deal, thank goodness it's over. There's always one tedious transfer saga every summer and this one was the one for this summer.

The most tedious of all time. I wish Cashley impediments of biblical proportion. England's left-back situation be damned, Cashely should get his rich desserts.

Not to rain abuse on Johnno's Hammers, but it's notable too that Tevez and Mascherano will play this season at the only London club unlikely to challenge a certain collection of tossers in blue for the league or European glory. Coincidence or more damning evidence that Chelsea's corrupting influence has reached a new level.

The bullet from the assassin's pistol can't find Roman's cortex soon enough.
