Saturday's Here!
Join me for another Saturday of footie. With the big four clubs playing tomorrow, it's a lighter Premiership schedule than usual with a few duff matches, but there's plenty of interest in the Coke, as usual. Will my Leeds boys bounce back from their midweek drubbing? I've got the full-on mojo going.

Pompey one up away to Charlton in the early match.
Sorry, Dave. That knocks your Red Devils off the top spot - at least temporarily. Portsmouth top of the pile - what a shocker! Harry Redknapp for manager of the month?
Bolton vs. Boro coming up on FSC in about twenty minutes. Not exactly your marquee match, but we've got ManYoo vs. Arse tomorrow morning.
Jonathan Woodgate will skipper Boro today after returning from his nightmare in Spain. It's great to see the kid back in the Premiership and I'd love to see him get back into the England frame soon.
And Pompey have hung onto their one-goal lead thanks to Lua Lua and are sitting pretty on top of the league.
I am here Robert. I am rooting for Pompey all the way. Afterall, it is my mom's home town.
4 wins 1 draw 0 losses 9 goals for ZERO against.
Very impressive.
'Arry doing his magic
Getting ready for kickoff now - Leeds playing away to Coventry. Come on you Whites!
Shame the Chelski Pool game not on tomorrow.
As I said, I won' t be home for the United game. I have my game that doesn't end until after 11. I am DVRing it
Best of luck to your lot
Cheers! We need it!
Burnley are one up against Stoke.
The Beeb was blacked out for this morning's game
READING has scored after 15 seconds
Fantastic - well done, Reading!
The Beeb is still on for some reason.
How on earth did Reading score after fifteen seconds when it was Sheff. Utd had the kick off
Only three games in the Prem.
BLOODY UEFA CUP!!!!
Glad there is the Coke
Following Bolton on TV
Following Everton Wigan on the Radio
Plus the early game - what about Pompey, eh? But yeah, the scheduling has ruined it today. The best games are all on tomorrow.
I noticed that the Premiership sides are starting in on the second round of the Carling Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, but I didn't see a United fixture? Who are you playing? Leeds have Barnet at home.
Anelka's looking lively for Bolton.
All the teams involved in Europe don't come into the competion until Round 3. This is the second or third year of them doing this.
Good luck scoring a goal against Barnet
Gotcha. I wondered about the big sides not being in it. Makes sense. You've got enough on your plate with the Champion's League.
Cardiff are one up
Your BOTTOM THREE rival QPR are losing to Colchester
Bloody Cardiff. I hate Sam Hammam. Leeds are playing the same side that crashed and burned during the week. (sigh)
Hey, on the basis of hanging onto a point right now, we're out of the relegation zone. I know it's academic, but it still is nice not to have them in the "Red Zone."
Still goaless Coventry. The commentator said that it is all Coventry but Leeds have hit the crossbar.
4000 Leeds fans making lots of noise.
OOOOH, David Healey just hit the bar for us against Coventry. We really need a win.
I see that with the Skysports window. They have a live table and Leeds are 4th bottom
Northampton beat Bath 33-18 in Rugby Union.... sorry, wrong sport!!!
Wolves are losing to Barnsley. GOOD, I don't like MacCarthy
Yeah, I'm not keen on Wolves either. Although the Wolves-Sunderland match will be interesting now. Will Keano and MM shake hands?
Cambridge are still goaless with Stevenage. THEY NEED SOME POINTS. They are second bottom in the Conference.
Good question. Same could be said about tomorrow's Chelski Pool game.
Hand bags at Goodison
Yes, but exactly what is the rift between Jose and Rafa? I don't get it.
Only two yellow cards after a little bust up with DeZeeuw and Kirkland get booked. Weird, two Wigan players get booked and no Everton player. Cahill was involved.
Nasty challenge there by Boro's Johnson. Deserved yellow card.
First, one is Spanish and the other one is Portuguese.
Second, Rafa doesn't like Jose talking about his team.
QPR down two
Colchester now two up against QPR. Just how did we lose to those mugs?
You didn't lose... you drew 2-2 after being up twice.
GET YOUR SCORES RIGHT!!!!
What do you make of this James Morrison guy for Boro. Not a bad player, eh? Is he English? Irish?
Oh yeah, I'm sorry, we've lost so many, I just assumed.
That should have been a stand out. Is that the only game you have scored more than ONE. Most of the time you don't even score ONE
Reading are two up.
Totally deserved
Steady, Dave. Steady.
Who's doing the scoring for Reading?
Just looked it up.
He is English
Coventry 1 Leeds 0
cardiff are two up
sorrry about the score mate
Balls!
Stern John - bloody MLS reject!
Coventry is a good team though. I don't think they are as high as they should be
Leeds fans apparently chanting "Blackwell Out!" Not a good sign.
Did you hear who they are talking about taking over for him.
O'LEARY!!!!
You can't want that, do you?
This match we're watching is like a bloody model UN - I reckon that there are only three English players on the pitch - Kevin Nolan for Bolton and Woodie and Morrison for Boro. I suppose you could throw Gary Speed in there too.

Yeah, O'Leary. Well, I've heard we're still paying his "get out clause" money, so he might as well work for it, eh?
My choice for a while now would have been wee Gordon Strachan, an old boy of ours (and yours), but he seems pretty content at Celtic.
I know but don't forget Woodgate and what about Euell?
Bolton are beyond help
no way he'd leave Celtic for Leeds
That's true - I counted Woodie but not Euell. What about Pogatets (sp?). Oh, never mind.
Barnet are 2-1 up against Notts County today - they could well give us a game on Tuesday. Bloody hell!
Btw, here's a good trivia for you. I count three teams now in Division 1 who've been the Premiership previously. Who are they?
And one in Division Two! Who's that?
Dave's been blocked by the Big Blogger in the sky. Shame. So I'm gonna give the blog a rest.
I've turned this Bore-o game off. I can't stand Bolton in the first place and watching them play Bore-o is like watching paint dry. Bloody awful.
Hey Bob-san, did you ever consider that NOBODY LIKES JOSE? He's a tosser of the first order and I say that anyone that does like him is unpricipled and of low character.
Might give the Villans a look this pm. Over and out.
Half time at the Reebok. Yeah, I'm about to bail on the match too. It's dire. Even the FSC announcer admitted it. They've really gotten burned by this Setanta deal and keep showing crap matches week after week.
Leicester are now 1-0 up at the Stadium of Light. Could the Keano magic be wearing off?
The two Leeds center backs are on yellows. Not a good sign.
Ipswich have knocked one in at Brum and have inched into the playoff spots based on that. Well done, the Tractor Boys.
AJ has scored for Everton against Wigan, who could easily slide down the table if they aren't careful this year.
It would be nice to see Luton get another back against Cardiff, although they are down to ten men.
Oh Jesus, the Blades have got one back against Reading.
Also, Cardiff now 3-1 up.
Soton now one-up against Plymouth.
Oh, I should mention that it's Rob Hulse who's scored for Sheffield Utd, of course. (sigh)
Now WBA are one up - it seems like all of the Coke big boys are winning today.
Wigan have levelled it against Everton.
Also Roy Keane's boys have evened the score against Leicester.
Everton have gone straight back down and taken the lead thru a James Beattie penalty.
Blimey, Wigan have equalized again! Why couldn't we have had that ding dong on FSC.
Birmingham back on level terms with Ipswich.
We've stuck the evergreen Steve Stone on against Coventry - always a sign of desperation.
Bloody hell, QPR are mounting a comeback. If they score another, Leeds could well be bottom of the Coke tonight.
Also Cardiff 4-1 up now!
It's all happening at St. Andrews. Ipswich have retaken the lead and two players have been sent off.
Southend have levelled it against WBA.
Brum have equalized again - 2-2. This is the kind of match that could easily get an audience in the States if they only would give the Coke a chance. Instead of the snooze fest we've been treated to this morning.
Norwich have thrown away a point to Palace who've won it with a late goal. Sounds familiar.
That's it - another loss for us. We're stuck second bottom in the Coke.
Looking forward to some good football tomorrow.
