Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

He's baaaack!

No years wandering in the desert for Mr. Dein, No sir! Fresh from his climb down over the Beveren scandal, he's only resurficed as the leader of the G14 group of clubs. This is not good news. I can attest that this guy works feverishly towards what he wants, Wenger and Ashburton Grove just two steps in his Gooner masterplan, and this is step closer to a full-on super league that can only spell disaster for the Premiership and curtains for the lower leagues.

Too right this is not good news. Dein is one of the cretins who's just about ruined the English game. If he had his way that Arsenal, Chelski, Pool and ManYoo would just engage in a big circle jerk and charge the punters twenty quid a pop to watch them go at it.

I've been listening to pundits talking about how boring the Euro 2008 break is, but to my mind the international game - for all it's Blatterish faults - is about the only aspect of the game that's not completely sullied by filthy lucre at this point.
